About: 🐶 About Me: Hi, I’m Heather—an experienced, nurturing pet professional who has been surrounded by animals since before I could walk. From dogs and cats to birds, bunnies, and even rescued wildlife, I’ve dedicated my life to loving and caring for animals of all kinds. Before relocating to North Carolina, I was a star sitter in Boston, MA, where I built long-term relationships with many repeat clients who entrusted me with their beloved pets time and time again. My background in both teaching and animal care fuels my approach: structured, empathetic, and full of joy! I’ve worked with animals in all life stages, and I’m highly experienced in: • Administering medications (oral, topical, and injectable) • Caring for seniors, puppies, and animals with special needs • Training dogs through behavioral challenges including leash reactivity, food aggression, and fear-based behaviors At home, I share my life with Gherkin, my brilliant 4-year-old Belgian Sheepdog who has completed Basic Obedience, Canine Good Citizen, and two levels of Scent Training, and Gunnar, a sweet Miniature Australian Shepherd who is currently mastering his obedience basics. Whether you need: • Boarding • In-Home Sitting • Drop-In Visits • Dog Walking …your pet will be treated with the same love and attention I give my own. I’m incredibly detail-oriented, quick to notice subtle changes in behavior or health, and I always strive to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and comforting as possible. Whether your companion is energetic and playful or shy and needing gentle care, I adjust my approach to meet their needs. I’ve also lived and worked around a wide variety of animals, including: 🐾 Bunnies, chinchillas, guinea pigs 🕊️ Birds 🐿️ Rehabilitated wildlife 🐕 Dogs with training or behavioral needs You can trust that your pet is in calm, capable, and loving hands with me. 📅 Availability As a Special Education Teacher, my school year has ended and I currently have open availability for pet care bookings. This includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays throughout the summer. My availability may shift slightly as I explore new professional opportunities, but I will always keep my calendar accurate and up to date. I remain committed to making time for both new and returning clients whenever possible. 🏠 How I Care for Pets in My Home and in Yours Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m caring for them in your home, you can expect attentive, personalized, and respectful care every step of the way. In My Home: I have a cozy home with a large yard—perfect for safe outdoor time and quick potty breaks. It is partially fenced. So, outdoor time will either occur on walks or on longlines. While the yard is large, I know most pets love a change of scenery, so we also enjoy leisurely walks, when appropriate, adventures to local parks H. Boyd isn't far) or dog parks. I always follow the owner’s preferences for activity level, routines, and socialization. Your pet will get plenty of affection, structured care, and attention—just like one of my own. In Your Home: When house sitting, I pride myself on being the most respectful guest you could ask for. I keep things tidy, follow all instructions to the letter, and am so focused on caring for your pet that your home may be cleaner than when you left it. I understand that your pet feels safest in their own space, so I work to maintain a calm, consistent environment while you’re away. Whether it’s watering plants, bringing in the mail, or keeping to a special feeding or medication schedule, I’ve got it covered. To be clear, as a house sitter, I do not stay overnight because I have my own dogs, but I stay as long as needed to ensure your furbabies are cared for (as mine can go for a long time). If you happen to book a house sitting when I don't have any other animals boarding, it is possible for me to stay overnight. I work out all the communication prior to your departure and stay in communication as much or as little as you request while you are away. Ultimately, I take my cues from you and your pet’s needs—always prioritizing comfort, safety, and peace of mind.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 12. It all started when my mom’s friend couldn’t find the time to make sure her pup was happy. So she relied on me to make sure that her pup was happy. I love animals, I have my own and I make sure they get whatever it is they need even if it’s just cuddles. I am a college student, who is home for the summer and looking to earn some extra money. I currently do not have a job. I treat all pets with genuine love, gratitude, and affection. I will provide a comfortable and safe environment as well as the right amount of exercise.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and I currently have a sweet boy now who loves to cuddle with other furry friends. You pets happiness is top priority. As a full-time remote worker, I'm home all day to give your pet the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. Whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or just having someone nearby, your furry friend will never feel alone. Your pet’s comfort and well-being are my top priority! I have a spacious backyard where your pet can enjoy some fresh air and sunshine. While it's not fenced, rest assured — I’ll be outside with them at all times to ensure their safety during potty breaks or sunbathing sessions.

About: As a wagging tail mommy (Sawyer, Wilson, Ollie, Odin, & Walter), who enjoys travel, vacations, and an active lifestyle, I understand that sometimes your dogs need a little extra love! Or how stressful it is to leave them boarded in a Kennel where they only get 15 minutes of "hooman" interaction. That is why Andrew and I are here! I have been a pet owner all my life, and have been dog sitting for 20+ years. We love dogs, and other pets, and truly enjoy spending time with them! We have experience with ages birth and older; we have experience with potty training, leash training, and experience with Post-Trauma from abuse, anxiety, fear, and aggression. I (Jenna) adopted my first rescue, Kaylah, at the age of 8. She had been surrendered; and had evidence of severe abuse. Through love and lots of work; she became leash trained, had limited anxiety and ways to cope, and was a very well behaved and loving dog. I fully understand that when life is busy or you need a vacation or travel for work; you want someone to love your dog as you do. While I am with your pet, I will love and nourish it as if it were my own! We look forward to meeting you and getting to know your wagging tail! I have dogs, so it is just part of the daily routine! They always get lots of love and affection throughout the day. Plus extra treats are a must every single day! We have a 6 foot privacy fence with friendly dogs who will keep your dog company, some are active and some relaxed and older. We have crates as needed as well.

About: I will love your dog as if it were my own. I have 2 springer spaniels that love to play. I can give special care for a dog that needs meds or has a special diet. I have had fur babies in the past that require special attention. I work a full time job out of my home so taking in dogs during the week is super easy as I’m home all day everyday. We have underground fencing otherwise your dog will go on a tie out. We have 2 entrances that can accommodate. I can also take crate trained dogs. If you don’t want to bring your kennel we have one to use as well.

About: I have been a life long dog lover and equestrian. I have been with my horse Quincy for going on 13 years now and my dogs Daisy, for 6, and Olive, for 2. I would love to help your fur baby play all day! Most of my pet sitting experience is with larger dogs and I enjoy taking them on walks or just relaxing at home. I usually stick to a every three hour schedule for walking but will absolutely adjust to the needs of your pet. I am punctual and very attentive to the needs of your pet. I request pretty specific instruction so that I can give your dog the very best experience possible! I am comfortable in administering medications or sitting more than one of your pups at once! I do have a large yard that is currently not fenced in, but the area I live in has great paved sidewalks! I am very flexible right now and can make any schedule work! However I am instructed to care for them really. Some pups snooze all day. Some have shorts bursts of energy. Some will play outside for an hour then come in and play more. The level of care is entirely dependent on the pets personality and medical needs.

About: I am the owner of a dog training company, Shepherds and Misfits K9 LLC. I’ve taken care of many different dog breeds since pursuing a career in the canine field. I currently own 8 dogs: 6 German Shepherds, 1 German Shepherd Mix and 1 Labrador Retriever Mix. I am certified in Dog Training and Pet First Aid/CPR. I am able to take care of young puppies and senior dogs. I currently operate my dog training business, Shepherds and Misfits K9 LLC, out of my home. I spend most of my time at home so your pets will receive endless love while in my care! I currently do not have a fence around my property. I walk pets on their leashes and use long lines when having play time outside. I have 8 dogs who are able to play with your dog unless your pet needs to have separate play time and cuddle time! We will accommodate your pets needs.
