“Jason was an awesome all around dog sitter! He took my puppy for a weekend of boarding on very short notice. He was very responsive and able to quickly get up to speed on my dog’s tendencies and needs. He frequently sent updates throughout the weekend and I could tell was very active and engaged, taking several trips to the dog park and providing treats and toys. His dog Timber was the perfect buddy for my pup to play with all weekend long. I’ll reach out to Jason again for boarding and would recommend to anyone in the area.”

About: I have been the go-to neighborhood dog sitter ever since I was in junior high. Now I live in Iowa City with my husband and field retriever, Oakley, and am ready to continue opening my home to your pets! I have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels. I work from home, so I am here all day for your pet. My typical routine with Oakley includes a lunch time walk and a post work hike at Hickory Hill. I’d love to bring your pup along for these adventures but can also cater to your pups individual needs/preferences and adjust as needed! We have a fenced in yard as well for the pups to run around in. I work full time from home, so I am able to attend to your dog throughout the day as needed. I typically play fetch or tug or something or the sort with my pup in the morning, take her for a walk ~1 mi walk over lunch, and for a 1-2 hour hike after work. I can adjust the level of activity as needed to match what you’re looking for! I have a fenced in yard (standard chain link so not suited for high jumpers) and an active pup for your dog to play with! I am comfortable crating your dog or leaving free roaming, whatever is your preference and your routine!

About: I grew up on a farm and have had pets of all kinds like German Shepherd dogs abd many cats. I currently own 2 feisty Japanese Chin, who are treated like royalty. I currently working weekdays from 6am until 2pm so im available to do drop in visits and walks on evenings and weekends and happy to board small abd medium sized dogs or cats in my home. I have a 6 foot privacy fence in my back yard and two dogs who have their own playroom that they like to spend their time in. I like to take dogs for walks. I also do caregiving for humans so I well versed in medication giving and personal cares.
