“Alex was super communicative before, during, and after Jack’s daycare visit. He made Jack feel very comfortable when we arrived and was attentive to any extra care he’d need as a senior dog. Jack will be back!”

“We were passing through town and needed daycare for our chihuahua. Shihong took Peanut on short notice, picked her up to take her on a walk around the block with his dog, Cotton, and reported back that things were going well! Peanut had a couple accidents in the house and he was unfazed. He was diligent about socializing her to his dog and by the end of the day they were snuggled in the crate together. Wish we could bring Peanut to Shihong every day! Highly recommend.”

“Sheila watched Millie for two days while we explored Ithaca. She accepted our last minute request quickly and kept us updated during Millie’s stay. When Millie arrived for her second day of dog daycare she trotted off happily and didn’t look back, which I took as a great sign!”

About: I am a lifelong rescuer of dogs and cats...I have raised puppies, adopted senior dogs, and adopted six dogs from shelters in the last 25 years. Most of my dogs and I had basic training classes together. I love walking dogs, playing with them, and caring for them in general...and i am excellent at bathing and medicating pups of all ages....even the reluctant ones! I like to be outdoors, so I am happy to walk and play with the dogs in my care outside at least 3 times a day.. I work from home, so I am generally available, weekdays and weekends. I am flexible about scheduling, and I welcome long term stays. I am also happy to accept last minute requests. I own my home...I don't have a fenced yard, but will walk my dog guests frequently, as i do like to be outdoors...I enjoy having dogs in my home, and spending lots of time with them. They are welcome on the furniture and to sleep on the bed..

“Our miniature poodle came home happy and exercised from his fun day with Hanna and her pups. We enjoyed the pics Hanna sent us too and would definitely book with Hanna again.”

“Claudia is so sweet with my dog Sheldon! He loves getting to spend the day with her when I have long workdays. She sends so many photos and videos of their day together! I feel so happy knowing I have someone as sweet as her to leave him with!”

About: My first rescue was a mixed breed puppy for our family. She died after 17 years of filling our hearts with joy. My second rescue was also a mixed breed puppy. She is very affectionate and energetic. I have watched dogs for my family and neighbors on multiple occasions. I have a huge yard with a pond for running and swimming and there is always lots of snuggles and love inside. I work remotely 4 out of 5 weekdays. On the day I go into the office, my husband has the flexibility to stop in several times to walk the dog around the back yard and hand out treats. Safety is the number one concern and I would always have your dog leashed outside. Inside they would have plenty of space for play and rest .

“Destiny was a gem! She took care of my puppy with only a few days notice. He was so happy and well cared for during his stay. I will definitely use her services again!”

About: Clients love my big yard, my playful six-year-old pup (Bailey), and the priority I put on safety. I provide a loving indoor environment that includes a dog-friendly couch, fresh water, and an enclosed, shady porch for afternoon naps. I am a hands-on animal lover living on a secluded road on a two-acre property with a creek running behind it, I am home all day except for quick errands. (Incidentally, I did not cancel the booking below; the client canceled. I phoned it in, so I got tagged with it.) I am a retired farmer and writer who has raised and trained Brittany spaniels, Golden retrievers, and others. I keep an organized, frequently cleaned backyard, which has a small, ankle-deep creek running behind it -- frequented often by my pup, Bailey, and whatever four-legged friends are visiting. I live alone in a quiet, relaxed home and have ample time for walks, playtime, and bonding with your best friend. I am long-time dog owner and trainer (and cat owner) who can handle any breed or any sized dog, small, medium, large, or bigger, offering long walks with ample room for exercise and play ...

“Thank you for taking care of Sherlock for another weekend. He has become more active and less shy after staying with Aaron and Kaylee. I really appreciate them helping Sherlock build confidence and be more social.”

“Amanda was great! Winter was crazy and happy as usual when I picked her up from daycare with Amanda so it looked like she had a good time there and was a tired girl on the way home.”

About: I have been lucky enough to spend time with dogs of a range of ages, sizes, and personalities, from energetic puppies to sweet senior pups who need a slower pace and a gentle touch. I’m comfortable with a wide range of needs, just let me know! I take time to build trust, especially with shy or anxious dogs, and I always move at their pace. I also pay close attention to behavior and body language, so I can respond quickly if something seem off. But most importantly, I make sure that they're safe and happy, while waiting for their favorite person to come back to them. Caring for the fluffy angels is something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize in my daily life. My schedule is flexible and I can work from home, which means I can dedicate quality time to walks, play, feeding, and companionship without rushing. Whether I'm welcoming pets into my home or caring for them in their own space, I always focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment. I live in a quiet apartment surrounded by forest and green space, with very little car traffic in the neighborhood, which is perfect for peaceful walks and outdoor sniff time. At my place, I maintain a clean and cozy space with plenty of room for your doggie or kitty to lounge, play, or nap. In your home, I'll respect the privacy and cleaness of your space. I will follow your care instructions closely, from feeding routines to medication schedules and favorite toys, because I know how important familiarity and consistency is to their happiness.

About: I have been around all sorts of animals since I was young, especially cats and dogs. I have since grown my experience into hedgehogs, lizards, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds and snakes. I have a wide variety of knowledge, and plan on expanding that throughout my life. I have experience with oral medication administration as well as injections. I can care for puppies and elderly dogs that are deaf or blind. My open schedule makes me a perfect fit for animals that have separation anxiety as someone is always home. I’m open to taking other animals as well, birds, hamsters, snakes, hedgies as long as their enclosures and food were provided I’d be delighted to care for your little furry, scaled or spiked friend. I am a stay at home mom of three young children (2 school aged), who love and respect animals as much as I do. I have a very open schedule to entertain and care for your pet as I do my own. I live in an old historical home, with a large clean yard for bathroom visits, we often take walks as a family and would love to include your four legged member. I have the ability to do a morning, midday and evening feeding schedule, lots of potty breaks and enrichment. We also have access to a local dog park, and little treats for our furry friends. I’d also like to address that I have small children, 5,4 and 2 who each love and care for animals. They have learned young to always respect animals however I’d never put your animal in a position that they were alone or unsupervised with the children for accident prevention. I am also currently long term boarding a family members dog who is very friendly and loves showing our guests around.

“Repeat customer. My dog is apprehensive to non-family. Matt came out to greet us. She remembered him. My dog’s tails started wagging and she went right over to him. Jess soon came to the top of step and my dog went over to say hi to her and went right in the house. She didn’t even look back to me. They both have a calm demeanor that my apprehensive dog can sense and she obviously feels at home with them. Grateful to have people like this in the Valley.”

“Kyle took excellent care of my elderly Maltese, Sammy. It was a relief that he was able to take care of Sammy on short notice and give my skittish dog a calm place to stay. He always responded quickly to messages and sent me a picture of Sammy each day. I would happily let him watch Sammy again if we come back to Ithaca.”

The other cat is judgmental and feisty, and Yuting respects this cat's boundaries. She follows my instructions, from when and how much to feed my cats, as well as watering any plants. Additionally, she has put some medication on the pet food as well. Yuting also notifies me if she notices if one of my cats is not eating or any other unusual behavior.”
