“We are so happy we found Jeanne. Our Rigby came home so happy. We are using her for routine care and are so excited we have someone who cares for the dogs like they are her own. Highly recommend!”

“Mike was fantastic. He watched our boy while we took a rafting trip nearby. He made me immediately feel at ease knowing he’d take great care of our pup. He’s also in a great neighborhood that I’m sure dogs love to walk. Highly recommend.”

“Equasia was fantastic and kind to me and my pup, and kept me updated all day. He came home very happy. They even brushed him and took him on multiple walks. Sent sooo many photos. I'm very happy and so is he! Would absolutely book again.”

About: My husband and I and our two teenage children love pets. We have been hosting pets in our home for a number of years and enjoy the experience each one brings to us. We have pets of our own and foster for a rescue. To us, every dog has a unique and special personality that we enjoy. Sharing our home and love with your furry family member so you can feel comfortable while you are away is the experience we want to provide for both of you. We have a fenced in doggie area and 2 acres of property for your dog to enjoy as well as walks, hugs and pet friendly furniture. We host both puppies and elderly pets and are accustomed to their needs. We encourage meet and greets as well to allow you and your dog to become familiar with us beforehand and to answer all questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you soon.
About: I have been a dedicated dog dad for over 4 years. While I have experience managing a multiple dog household, I currently only have my resident German Shepherd at home during sittings. He is a "big baby" super friendly, well-socialized, and great at making guest dogs feel welcome. I live to make these 4 legged animals smile, you can be sure your pup will have a good time when I’m around! As a dedicated dog owner for over four years, I offer a safe and structured 'home away from home' for your pup. My household is perfectly set up for socialization, featuring my friendly, 'big baby' German Shepherd who loves making new friends. To ensure a calm and focused environment, my other resident dogs stay off site during bookings, allowing me to prioritize your pet’s specific needs. Whether it’s managing high-energy play, providing gentle senior care, or maintaining strict feeding and medication schedules, I provide your dog with a reliable routine filled with backyard fun, mental enrichment, and plenty of cuddles. You can travel with peace of mind knowing your dog is being cared for by an experienced handler who treats every guest like family! When a doggo stays with me, they aren't just a "guest" they become apart of the family. My goal is to keep their home routine so they don't feel the stress of your absence.
“Getting better, my dogs, not the sitter. Our dogs are not used to being away from us or from home. We are prepping them for a weekend away. They did better today. They like Jahada and go with her easily, it's my mama dog who is still a little anxious. She will just pant though. Not exhibiting any other bad behaviors. She will use the bathroom while with Jahada, both poop and pee, which is fantastic because if she were to feel completely uneasy, she wouldn't do either. We're about to attempt an overnight stay! Thanks Jahada.”

“Melissa and Angel are great! They took great care of my dog Whiskey, providing walks, playtime, and plenty of pictures throughout. I will definitely use them again when I’m in the area. Highly recommend!!”

“Brooke and Jeremy were amazing for doggy daycare. They were incredibly accommodating with my early work hours, which made everything so much easier for me. My pup tends to be pretty anxious, but they handled him with so much care and patience-it really gave me peace of mind. I truly appreciate the attention and effort they put into making him comfortable. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and compassionate pet care.”

“Popi had a very relaxing time. Marleny is great at letting dogs be themselves. He boards here next month and am looking forward to him having a great time. As long as she's available I'll be a repeater.”

“Christian is great! We have a new puppy who is very young and Christian took on the challenge with ease! Our puppy had such a fun day and was definitely tuckered our from a day of play when we got home. He sent us pictures and videos throughout the day to keep us updated on how our boy was doing. We are very happy and can’t wait to take our puppy back to doggy daycare again!”

“I was very nervous leaving my new puppy for an entire day, but had no other choice. I found Lorraine on Rover.com. She was so very sweet to Bella, and I felt confident that Bella would have a great time spending the day with her and her husband. I know she treated Bella as if she was her own and loved her the way I do. I will definitely use Lorraine again and have no reservations in recommending her to others.”

“Leila was amazing, this was the first time Ash had been away from us since we got him last year. He was nervous and made a mess at Leila's, she was so kind about it! We are working on his anxiety and she made it much easier for us to leave him for the day. We will absolutely be using her again!”

About: I’m David, a dedicated Pet Pawtrait Photographer 🐾📸 and the owner of Charlie’s Pet Pawtraits & Boutique in the Lehigh Valley, PA. Caring for dogs isn’t just a job for me—it’s a heartfelt passion inspired by my beloved pup Charlie, who was with me for over 11 wonderful years. Losing him was tough, but it left me with an abundance of love 💙 I’m eager to share with other dogs through both personalized care and capturing their spirit through photography. I offer a boutique, home-like dog care environment 🏡 where I never take in more than 1–3 dogs at a time, ensuring your dog receives plenty of one-on-one attention, playtime in our spacious indoor gallery, and adventures on the nearby D&L Trail as well as numerous local parks 🚶🌳🐕. Your dog’s comfort, happiness, and peace of mind are my top priorities—I treat every pup as if they were my own family. I’m also a proud dad to a mature 9-year-old who lovingly helps me care for dogs, adding to the warm and nurturing atmosphere 👧❤️. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a calm senior, or anywhere in between, I’m patient and adaptable to their needs. As a special thank you for choosing my care, I’ll send you beautiful photos of your dog enjoying their stay—and if you’d like, high-quality non-watermarked downloads of these photos are available upon request 🎁✨. This way, you get to see just how happy and comfortable your pup is during their time with us! In addition to care, I offer pet portrait sessions either in my studio or at your favorite location—and many pet owners enjoy choosing one of our recommended local spots near the studio for a special outing and photoshoot 🎞️🐶. I’m excited to meet your pup and provide a personalized, loving experience that truly sets us apart from typical kennel-style sitters. As the owner of our pet photography boutique and photography studio 🐾📸, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to caring for your pet. Whether it’s a weekday or weekend, I prioritize making sure every pup in my care feels loved and well attended to 💙. My 9-year-old daughter, who is mature and gentle 👧❤️, is often excited to help out and meet new furry friends, adding to the loving, family-like environment. Pet care is truly integrated into our daily life and brings so much joy to both of us 😊. This balance allows me to provide personalized attention, plenty of playtime 🐕🎾, and peaceful rest moments for every dog, while also continuing to grow my photography passion and business. FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Welshtown
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 365 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Welshtown. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Welshtown commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 365 sitters in Welshtown, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
