“Kayla was great! We were gone for a weekend and left our 5 month old German Shepard with her. She sent us daily pictures and updates about our pup. We would recommend Kayla for watching your furry friends.”

“Gracie took amazing care of my sweet buddy. She communicated well with us. Had no problem following our desired instructions for feeding. Was thoughtful and helpful at drop off and pick up times. Buddy was worn out and happy from the play and good times. Thank you!”

“Heather was great! She was flexible with timing of drop off and pickup, which I really appreciated. She was super positive about my pups stay, which was great to hear at pick-up! Would definitely recommend her to anyone in the Boone area!!”

“Chelsey helped us last minute on the holiday weekend! She was super responsive and sent us pictures of our two boys! We were visiting Boone with family so if you are ever in the area, we would recommend!”

“Camilla was a 10/10 pet sitter. We had a great experience and hope to rebook next time we are in the area. She was quick to respond, great with communicating, and seems to be a genuinely nice and caring person. She also has a nice sized yard that is all fenced in which was great for our dogs and I felt great about leaving them with her for the night. Everything couldn’t have gone better and we defintiely would recommend her to anyone.”

“Lisa was an excellent caregiver! From Day 1, she has been very flexible and accommodating with time changes and scheduling requests. She was able to keep Lexi longer than anticipated! She is very good with communication as well! Thanks, Lisa, for everything!! :)”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for four dogs of different ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently have an 8-year-old mutt named Tucker who is incredibly sweet. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. I genuinely love animals and will treat every pet like one of my own. I’m currently in college and only have about three hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available throughout most of the week for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and spending quality time with your pets. My apartment is very pet-friendly and comfortable, with plenty of places for dogs to relax. I even have a couch specifically for dogs, along with a dog bed and other cozy spots throughout the apartment. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re with me, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special instructions you provide.
“Elizabeth was such a wonderful fit for our high energy pup! She kept us updated and sent many pictures which we so appreciated. Not just anyone can keep up with our dog and we felt as though Elizabeth was attentive and met all of her needs with ease. We would absolutely book with her again for our next trip! Thank you!”

“We are so happy we found Fran! Fran was wonderful with our pup Lupine. She took her walking, on play dates, and let her snuggle with her. Staying with Fran was like a puppy vacation for our girl. I highly recommend Fran!”

About: I love dogs and cats and grew up with both in my home since I was a baby. I pet sit on the side for friends and family and have loved it. I love to play and cuddle and walk your dogs. I live in the North Wilkesboro area. I have one dog who is 3 yrs old and loves friends. I am an administrator by trade so dedicated, hard-working, and responsible. I am clean and tidy so you don't have to worry about coming home to a dirty house. I don't mind cleaning up after myself or your pet. I work full time 8-4:30. I am home on the weekend. I spend my nights and weekends with my dog so we can easily include yours as well! I have one 3 year old female dog. She is fixed, trained and won’t be a problem. We go on walks and I have a long chain for the dogs to explore the yard with. I live in a safe neighborhood with no worries or issues. I treat the dogs like family. They can be on furniture and I normally do not crate my dog. If yours needs crated I have a spare room so they can feel safe and not upset not being with my dog.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Weavers Ford home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Weavers Ford.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Weavers Ford sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
