Samantha is wonderful! She was in contact with me and sent lots of photos. She babysat my two-month old puppy who has stitches from surgery. He’s not housebroken, either, as I’ve only had him three days and he came from the shelter. Nothing rattled her - not even when I came to her house butt naked to pick him up. Eleven out of eight stars - would recommend.

Highly recommend Brittany! She was able to take care of my Sadie last minute and was great to work with. This was our first time leaving our dog with a sitter, but Brittany made us feel very comfortable with the situation. She was very kind and understanding, and she did a good job easing Sadie into a new situation. Overall great experience!

About: I have worked many years in animal rescue and rehabilitation, I can work with the newest puppy members or the senior fur baby. I can keep them on your schedule or keep it relaxed whatever you need. I can continue with leash, house/potty, crate, or any other trainings. I've worked with multiple animals breeds and personalities, all would be loved and cared for. I work from home so my schedule is pretty open. I have many toys and space for play, I can accommodate crates or other needed accessories to help your fur baby and create that home away from home feeling. I'm near many parks and trails so your fur baby would get the exercise they need.

About: I’ve had and cared for my own dogs most of my life, and now that I’m retired and live alone, I truly enjoy meeting and spending time with new pups. I love getting to know all their unique personalities—it’s one of the best parts of what I do! Their company and the feeling of being needed keep me young, and I genuinely enjoy having someone to care for. I’ve been with Rover on and off for over 5 years, occasionally taking breaks due to health reasons, but my love and passion for animals has never changed. I’m always happy to send updates and photos while you’re away, if you’d like. I do have a small chiweenie named Bella who is also a senior citizen. She’s sweet, quiet, and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her chunky little body. She’s never had any issues with other dogs—even larger ones—and is happy to share her space. Rest assured, I’ll care for your baby as if they were my own. 🐾❤️ I’m available full-time and very flexible with scheduling, since I no longer work. I’m happy to provide care at whatever time or date works best for you—just give me about three days’ notice so I can plan accordingly. From time to time, I do watch my son’s three grand-pups, but I always try to block those dates out in advance so there’s no overlap or confusion. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priority! I do want to be fully transparent—I live in a trailer in a quiet trailer park, which unfortunately isn’t an option to select on Rover (they only allow “home,” “apartment,” or “farm”). While my neighborhood might seem a little rough around the edges, I promise it’s much friendlier than it looks. All of my neighbors are senior citizens and truly some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. My best friend lives next door and helps keep an eye on my little one if I ever need to step out for errands or groceries, so your dog will always be safe and looked after. I also have a fully fenced-in backyard and typically leave the back door open so dogs can go in and out as they please. That said, if you prefer your pup stays inside and is only let out for potty breaks, I’m more than happy to follow your routine. Your dog’s comfort and safety are always my top priorities. 🐾❤️

About: I have had pets all my life. I love them all and they would get spoiled rotten.I know it's difficult to leave your babies. Hopefully I can make it better with photos, videos, and as much communication as you need to feel better. I strive to treat your pet just like they are one of my own. I'm recently back from deployment and looking to generate some income while doing something I love. Bring your pet to be loved and cared for like it was you. Plenty of time for play, pup cups, and rides in the car. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs that love company. They can also have free range of the house. They will be well cared for and be spoiled like the babies they are.

About: I, and my dog Gucci enjoy being social and spending time with others. I have only one dog and Gucci enjoys social time with the dogs we board. I have a large yard away from busy roads, a our house is currently under construction and pet friendly. We enjoy at least two walks daily. Your pup will be safe and secure in our home and out and about with us on our walks. It's always a good idea and we prefer to have dogs meet before drop off for boarding. The meet-n-greet will ensure everybody gets along and stays safe. We look forward to speaking with you and sharing more details regarding our care of your fur baby. Please feel free to reach out for more info or to discuss special needs. Gary and I are retired and have the time needed o focus on your pup. We are both active and enjoy hiking and walking around our property. Our girl Gucci enjoys the company of other dogs and is mellow and easy going. Although I do not have a fenced yard, the property is large and a great distance from busy streets. I will ensure your pup is safe whether requiring a leashed or off-leash walk. I am accustomed to keeping track of dog Gucci and ensuring she is secure and I know where she is at all times.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Weaver commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 40 sitters in Weaver, 80% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
