About: I’ve worked in both general practice and emergency veterinary medicine. I also worked at a service dog training program. I currently work back in emergency and critical care. I have experience cat/ dog sitting for 5+ years. Experienced with all age ranges. My full time job hours are 3 overnight shifts any 3 nights between Sunday- Thursday. I lived with and cared for a reactive dog for 13 years, so I know firsthand what it takes to help an anxious dog feel safe, and how to prevent conflict in the first place. All my dogs have been rescues, and I have a soft spot for dogs who need extra patience to warm up. I'm not a certified trainer, but I've spent years learning dog training, body language, and enrichment, and every interaction is rooted in positive reinforcement. I will require a meet and greet with your pet in advance of the first booking so they can become familiar with me, and so I can become familiar with their routine and needs. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility to be present for your dog, whether that's extra walks, playtime, or just being around for company, and I'm happy to talk through what kind of availability works best for your pet! I work from home which allows me the flexibility to prioritize pet care in a way I wouldn’t be able to with a traditional office. This gives me the ability to keep anxious dogs company, breaks for play time, medication, cuddles or walks when they are needed, not when they can be fit in. I create a calm, secure environment where pets feel safe and comfortable. Whether in my home or theirs, I work on building trust by moving at each pet’s pace and honoring their boundaries. Safety is always my top priority, I supervise pets closely, follow all instructions carefully, and adapt to their unique needs. I keep spaces clean, hazard-free, and ensure pets have fresh water, proper food, and quiet resting spots. My days vary and I have every other weekend off. However, I can make adjustments as needed to fit your schedule to the best of my ability. I own my own home. About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was about 10 years old. They always seem to love me and I love them as well.
