This is my first time to use Rover. I was nervous, as any pet parent might be, but my nerves were immediately settled communicating with Lisa. I have not worried at all about my dog while in her care this week. Lisa sends regular pics and updates. I had to unexpectedly extend my pet’s time and Lisa was wonderful to work with. I’ll be booking with her again for sure!!

Leann is absolutely wonderful!!! This was our first time leaving our dog, and we will always ask Leann in the future. Iris loved Leann right away. Leann kept us updated and sent lots of pictures. It was obvious that Iris was super happy and had a great time. I truly cannot say enough positive things. So happy with our experience!

About: I have had a pet of my own ever since I can remember. My current fur baby is an almost 10 year old rescue from Kuwait. We have traveled the world together and recently returned to the US. We are looking to help others take care of their fur babies. I am an educator who has lived overseas for several years. I have recently returned to the US. I will be working online part-time, so I have the time and energy to dedicate to taking care of your fur babies when you need a helping hand! I have one older rescue dog who is very shy but friendly. We go for at least two walks a day around the neighborhood to get our steps in and his sniffer activated. We would love for your dog to join us!

Marlie was absolutely magnificent! She communicated with me well, sent me pictures and kept in touch as she promised. I am a professional dog trainer, so I am probably more particular about who I leave my dogs with. I was hesitant about leaving my girl with such a young person (not meaning that she doesn’t know dogs), but she exhibited great care and maturity in the care and communications expected. Great job, Marlie! We’ll be back! Love, Hoka🐾

About: Since growing up on a farm and having a menagerie of pets my whole life, I've gained tons of valuable experience and knowledge about animals, and a deep love of them as well. I have worked with everything from mice to cows, but mostly dogs and cats. Your furbabies are in great hands with me! I'm currently self-employed, so I have plenty of time for your pets! I'm able to do walks before sun-down, during the week, and on weekends! I'm completely comfortable with crate training methods and would be happy to help out with that, and I have two of my own dogs who could be a playdate for your pups. I have a flexible schedule as I currently do freelance work from home, which allows me to make your pet and their care a high priority. I have a secure and spacious fenced-in yard, two of my own dogs who can keep your pet company, and can crate if that is requested.

Cindy did an excellent job with Kain. She treated our puppy like one of the family. I will use her again anytime we need a sitter.

Cynthia and her Husband took great care of my dog. I had a sitter bail the last minute for a holiday weekend. Not only did she quickly respond but when he needed to stay an extra day they were very accommodating. Their dog was a great play mate for Griffin and they sent plenty of updates and pictures that really reassured me. They were nice, reasonable, responsable, and had my pup ready to go when I got there. I will be using them again in the future.

Cynthia, and her family were AMAZING💕. I’m a first time boarder and she made me feel comfortable leaving my Bucky (puppy) , with them. I was nervous at first for several reasons ie; they had cats and Bucky has never been around cats, a dog and just a totally different environment. Her husband had even taken the time out to show me some of their dog’s tricks, which was very helpful to know how patient they are with animals. And wouldn’t you know after my little vacation Bucky was taught how to lay down on command.🐶😘I would definitely use Cynthia, again. ❤️🐶

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Waycross home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Waycross.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Waycross sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
