“Katherine is the perfect dog sitter. We highly recommend her. She did a wonderful job taking care of our pup, sent texts and pictures, and was also very patient with our pups shyness. They were best buddies by the end of our trip. We came home to a relaxed and happy dog when we returned home. Thank you Katherine.”

Mid day visits can be possible with some prior notice depending on location Our pets are part of our family and are treated as such. Animals bring such a sense of purpose to our life. I will treat your pets the same as I treat my own.
About: On walks, I’ve been known to smile at dogs yet frown at the owners. Not really, but it’s true that seeing pets on walks is my motivation for doing them in the first place. I only have one little pupper (Bella) who is 14 years old! Although she has the energy of a toddler, the way she follows me into any room any time I’m in the house is something I’ll miss when she’s gone. We take walks daily, and I’m careful not to over feed her or harm her in any way. Even though this is my first app, I think the foundation of trust and looking for any signs the lore is showing (as well as my clear communication with pet and owner)
About: Along with my years of experience in caring for my own pets (dogs and cats), I have also fostered puppies and kittens. I enjoy spending time with animals and make sure they are well taken care of. I currently work from home and set my own schedule, so my schedule is flexible. There are various times through the week and weekend I am available to take care of your beloved pets! I am always alert to the needs of my cat, whether she needs food, water, her litter changed, or wants to play. Whatever animal you may have, I will have them the attention and care they need, through playing, walking, feeding, etc. (Just like you would :))

“Kendall was spectacular with our 10 week old golden retriever! She made an extra trip to meet with us beforehand to make sure our older golden and we were comfortable. Very professional and loving towards our little girl. We will be using Kendall again in the near future!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
