“Kelli was amazing! This was our first time using rover and I can not recommend Kelli enough! She kept us updated with her drop in visits including pictures (when cats were being social). My husband and I are very appreciative for her dropping in while we were away. Thank you again Kelli!”

About: I’ve always been a huge animal fanatic, leading me into a career with animals. For the past 4 years I have worked in veterinary medicine. my experience ranges from livestock like sheep, cattle, goats, deer, and more, to small animals like reptiles, dogs and cats! I work with pets all day long, as it is my biggest passion, and my career. I strive to love others pets as my own. I strive to offer care that blows pet parents away, I go above and beyond in the way that I don’t just feed and walk your pet, I make them feel loved as I love my own.
“Lea and Brandon took care of our pup as if she were their own! Our girl is going to miss seeing them every day! They were timely and attentive and mostly importantly, gave our pup the love and attention she needed while we were on holiday! We will absolutely be using Lea and Brandon in the future!!”

About: I've had multiple pets all my life and strive to make their day as better as their last. I have a true strong passion for animals. I will be providing dog walking, house sitting and drop ins for dogs and cats. I have lots of experience with both, from taking care of my own pets to watching others in the past. I work, but am very flexible with my hours and open to most days and times. I'm outgoing so would be able to play and be active with pets that need to burn energy and like to have fun. I'm open to taking pets to a park or on trails to go on adventures. I'm very responsible and respectful. I'd treat every furbaby like they were one of my own. I'm comfortable with multiple pets all shapes and sizes. I'm great at following instructions if they needed certain feeding details and or also medication. I'm excited and hoping to work with alot of wonderful people and their animals. It's everyday. I feel better about myself knowing I've been able to help others and their pets have the best day that's possible for them. I treat my pets like my children. I'm a upstanding respectful young man who would be professional and caring the entire interaction with peoples home and their pets.

About: I am an Ace certified personal trainer. I am a very active person, so I will make sure your pet engages in lots of play time and gets plenty of exercise during their stay. I have a very large fenced in yard which will give your dog lots of space to run and play. I grew up living down the hill from my grandparents farm which included cows, pigs, chickens, lots of barn cats and dogs. I was the kid that was always finding hurt or stray animals and bringing them home to care for. I live in the country and all three of our cats are strays that that my husband and I took in. We also have a dog. I look forward to caring for your pet!
“Tracy was amazing. She was so good with our kitties. She took lots of photos and gave us great peace of mind leaving our kitties under her care! We will 100% be booking with her again.”

“O. M. G. Alicia is hands down the most amazing and caring dog sitter. She’s so committed to these fur balls of love and it really shows in the “smiles” I could feel beaming from my dog in the pictures. While I was out of town there was a mishap with power at my house and she showed me she was going to take care of him. I’m so grateful for meeting her as a person and highly recommend her as a care giver!! As a first time Rover client that had my first 7 requests denied due to other’s natural pre-obligations to their clients, Alicia went above and beyond and I’m so happy it worked out the way it did. Thank you, Alicia! There’s no price or paycheck that can honestly match the level of trust and comfort she provided me while being away from my boy for almost 2 weeks.”

About: I have had pets my whole life: dogs, cats, hamsters, and a fish. Pets are special in so many ways and deserve the up most care. I do not know/experienced administrating medication in dogs/cats. I have taken care of an elderly cat and dog before though. I understand pets are precious and intend to care for them as my own. I am and undergrad college student at University of Hartford, who loves animals especially cats and dogs. My scheduling varies throughout the days depending on my class schedule, but other than my classes I am very flexible in my schedule. I would be happy to do early mornings, mid afternoons, as well as late nights if needed. I want to tailor my schedule around what your pet needs and is used to the best that I can. I live in an on-campus apartment at the University of Hartford with no other pets. If an emergency or a special case I can bring him/her to my apartment, but I would like to care for your pet at your house. When being in your home I will respect it and not break your privacy. I love meeting before our scheduled sitting to go over boundaries, expectations, and anything else.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 15. I started just walking dogs, and then progressed to watching family/friends dogs while they were on weekend trips/ vacations once I was able to drive. On top of watching other peoples animals, I’ve always had animals of my own, so I’ve been around Dogs/Cats my whole life. I am due in November, and I won’t be working once I have my baby. My schedule is completely open and my Dog is looking for a friend to have a sleepover 🩵 I have 3 acres and lots of room for dogs to run around and play! My dog gets along with any kind of dog, so your fur baby will have a friend the whole time! If you would like your dog crated, I can do that as well.

“Haley was on time for all her drop in’s and kept us updated on our babies throughout the stay. She took wonderful pictures of the dogs. She brought her own toys for playtime with the dogs. Fantastic!”
About: Animals have always made sense to me! I love studying their behavior and communication. Dogs and cats warm up to me quickly because I listen to what they are telling me. I've become a reliable pet-sitter for family friends after years of watching their pets. I have experience with cats and dogs, hyperactive and calm. I listen to instructions carefully so I can keep your pet happy and safe. I always make time to check in on pets. Often my schedule is free, but if not I can visit your pet early in the morning or late at night. Otherwise, I tend to check in at regular times so your pet gets a sense of normalcy. I only offer check-ins at the client's house, so your pet will be in the same environment. I still keep an eye on everyone to ensure their safety!
“Chayanne was great. She was flexible, able to meet me at the last minute and take the job. She was there everyday on the day/time I requested and stayed for 30 minutes giving my cat lexi some much needed company and sending me pictures of her. Highly recommended.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
