About: With 5 years of professional experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, I’m comfortable caring for everyone from playful puppies to sweet seniors! I have experience with special needs pets, administering medications, and recognizing different temperaments and comfort levels. My home is also full of animal lovers, including two friendly super-socialized dogs and three indoor cats! I’m a full time artist who works from home, which means your pup gets plenty of companionship, attention, and supervision throughout the day! Our home is already a happy little zoo, with two playful, dog loving boys and three indoor cats. We have a fenced backyard for supervised playtime, plenty of toys, and cozy spaces for relaxing after a busy day. My dogs love making new friends, and one of our cats is a big Maine Coon mix who seems convinced he’s another dog! With five years of professional dog washing experience, I’m comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and personalities. Whether your pup is a social butterfly, an energetic youngster, or a senior who prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to accommodate their individual needs. My goal is to make your dog feel like part of the family while you’re away! About: I am a dog lover and have taken care of pets all my life. Family and friends have relied on me to help take care of their fur babies. I am an active retired person with plenty of time to work around most schedules and pet care needs. I am flexible and accommodating, and my schedule allows for dedicated time with your pet. I have a fully fenced yard and a friendly and mellow medium-sized dog. I like to take walks around the neighborhood and can walk your dog as desired. I treat your pet like my own and give them all the love and attention they want.

About: *MUST MEET ME AND MY LAB IN PUBLIC PRIOR TO BOOKING*. Although my lab, Hela loves everyone, unfortunately not every dog loves her so please set a meeting prior to booking! I'm flexible with times and locations! I offer attention to detail and love for pups. I'm the pup mom that knows all my dogs allergies and favorite foods! I've had dogs my entire life and even as a kid began training them! My friends always choose me when they are going out of town to watch their pups. I actually decided to join Rover after one of the pups I watch dads suggested I should! I work from home with my black lab who loves everyone and is a gentle soul (her 2 besties are a min pin and a golden retriever) and currently she is the only animal in my house. We take hourly stretch breaks to pee and play a little ball! I have a fenced yard with grass. If you'd like, I'll send cute pictures throughout the day too! Also if allowed, the pups go with me to get weekly pups cups from Starbs. I work from home and have a black lab, so all day everyday I do pet care. My job fortunately makes it easy to interact with thr pups and make sure their needs are taken care of. Prior to recently (they moved), I was watching a golden retriever (Duke) along with my lab every week day and his dad is who suggested I start rover as he would often say "I know my buddy is safe and happy here, he has the best of time". Currently, when we have a guest I make sure there food is prepared and on time. We take hourly potty and play breaks (more if requested - I have a buzzer my dog presses). The rest of the day the pups are free to roam the house with me. I have dog beds (including some in my office), thousands of toys (my dog unfortunately does not destroy anything lol), and when we have an overnight guest, the pups sleep in the bed with me (unless otherwise requested). I love pups and have always wanted more but babysitting is a happy medium!

About: Pets have always brought me a lot of happiness, and that's why I love to help take care of them. Until recently, I have always had a dog to take care of in my life, and now I'd love to look after yours! :) Helping dogs exercise, making sure they are loved, clean and happy are very important to me. Dogs put so much good into this world, so they deserve all the love we can possibly give them! Also I love cats! Waking up and making sure your furry friend is fed, given morning pets, and a walk if needed. We can play and have fun during the day and make sure we get to bed at a good time. Keeping on careful eye on your pet is very important to me! Also I genuinely enjoy the company of animals so there will be lots of hanging out, playing & potty breaks. I keep my space very clean & pet friendly.

About: We have had pets in our home ever since I was 3 years old. I love dogs, cats, and rabbit's the list goes on and on. The last dog we welcomed into our home was a 3 month old Doberman and I took a big part in training him. It was definitely a challenge! I know a lot about training because of this and also have lots of patience. I just graduated high school and I currently have a part time job so I have plenty of time to do something on the side. We have a large back yard with lots of space for your pets to play! I currently have a Doberman so I have a lot of experience with large dogs, I also have a tea cup poodle and a mix.

About: I have been pet sitting, and dog walking for many years. I use to house sit as well, but with two little ones I decided to stay to my home and go for quick visits to peoples homes. I take pride in caring for each animal I have in my home, and other people homes. They get spoiled rotten just like my own animals. I myself have three dogs of all different sizes, and a few rabbits as well for showing and my daughter for 4H. I have experience with all sorts of animals, Dogs, cats, poultry, rabbits, goats, pigs, and other smaller farm animals. I currently do not have a job so I am open to love on and care for your animals needs. I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I have a very flexible schedule during the day while my kids are at school. I’m available to provide consistent daily care, including feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and any other needs your pet may have. My afternoons become a little busier when my kids get home from school, but I can plan my routine around your pet’s needs to ensure they receive plenty of attention and care. I have three dogs of my own, as well as a few reptiles that are safely secured and kept separate from other pets. My home is a pet-friendly environment, and I have a fully fenced yard that is great for smaller dogs to safely enjoy some outdoor time. For dogs who can jump the fence, I can provide supervised, controlled potty breaks on a leash to ensure their safety. I prioritize each pet’s individual needs, comfort, and safety while making sure they receive plenty of love and attention. At this time, I’m unable to offer overnight or in-home care at clients’ homes because I have three children and need to be home with my family. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and reliable environment for every pet in my care.

About: I’m a dedicated pet owner with hands-on experience caring for two corgis and two horses. I understand daily routines, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and the importance of patience and consistency. I treat every animal like my own and always prioritize safety, comfort, and trust. I am currently a full-time online student, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability during the day. My daily routine already revolves around caring for animals, including my two corgis and two horses, so adding pet care visits fits naturally into my schedule. I’m available for morning, midday, and afternoon walks or drop-ins, and I can easily accommodate regular weekly clients or last-minute requests. Because I’m home and managing my own animals daily, I’m reliable, attentive, and able to provide consistent care and timely updates. I provide attentive, routine-based care in both my home and my clients’ homes. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding, exercise, and any special needs, and make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I always provide updates so owners have peace of mind while they’re away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Wallula Junction commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. Many sitters can respond to messages in under an hour.

To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.

With Rover, you can find a trustworthy, loving pet sitter to take care of your dog while you're at work or have a day full or errands. That way, you're sure to find a doggy day care who's right for your needs. We're proud that 95% of our sitters have 100% 5-star reviews, and we think your dog will love them too.
