“No complaints! Everything went well. I know my big dog can be pushy and maybe even intimidating (107 pound Rottweiler, less than 2 years old!) but she did good with him, our two cats and chickens.”

“Melanie stayed in our home with our elderly dog and 2 cats for 6 days. She was amazing! First she came out for a meet and greet and it was clear our pets loved her right away. She took care of our plants and our house and we came home to happy stress-free pets. We will definitely make her our first call on future pet plans.”

“It was a pleasure having Deborah sit with our 14 year old pup Dexter. Deborah quickly responded to our initial inquiry and met with Dex and I shortly afterwards. She communicated the day before her scheduled sit and arrived promptly at an agreed upon time. She asked all the appropriate questions about feeding, Dexter's daily routine, and what she could do to keep him comfortable during our absence. Deborah communicated during her sit to let us know that all was well. We returned to a happy dog and a tidy house. Would recommend Deborah and we will be using her services again.”

“Alison was great! She asked good questions during the meet & greet and was very personable. She sent pictures throughout her stay. We came home to a clean house. Our cat is happy! We would definitely book her again.”

About: Well I’ve had cats all my life but I do love dogs! I have done over night(s)! I love taking dogs for walks & to parks to run around and possibly play with other dogs I’ve helped with a friend of mine dogs while his other family members were off on a camping trip so I took them out for potty a few times a day, feed them, & played with them. I’m definitely an animal lover who loves being outdoors and helping out if and when needed I’ve been told multiple times that I’m a cat/dog whisperer if you know what I mean by that. If there is anything in particular you wanna know feel free to ask. I currently am a homemaker and do have my own vehicle. I currently have a very open schedule but I do not drive. My partner drives me (or animals!) wherever I need to go. First things first I like to have a conversation with the clients about their pet specific needs and schedules. If a, “In-home” pet sitting is needed, I also like to go over any house or home rules. This can vary depending on the animal.

About: With over 10 years of professional housesitting and a lifetime of pet care, I specialize in attentive in home care, especially of seniors, cats, and puppies needing extra love and care. I rarely leave pets I’m sitting to reduce anxiety, administer medications reliably and treat your fur babies like my own. Responsible, experienced and always on time. 🐶🐱 I’m currently retired and do pet sitting full time. I’ve just moved back to the coast and am missing my numerous pets clients from North Carolina. I’m available 7 days a week so your pets are my priority. I do a meet and greet prior to your house sit so I can meet your fur babies, obtain their care routine(s) and cater to their specific needs.

About: Ive taken care of my own animals between my child's pet as well as my own personal companion as they help in many different ways. My house is locked when I am home for my safety as well as my children's and your animals.

About: I have experience with all kinds of cats, dogs, guinea pigs, etc through my own personal experience of being an owner, as well as experience with family and friends' animals. I have experience with dogs of all ages, disciplines, and social behaviors. I understand that there are all types of good boys and gals out there- "needy" dogs, high energy dogs, dependent and shy dogs, as well as dogs who require medication, and elderly dogs needing special care (diapers), special attention, or help getting around. Experience with all different cats, including multiple cats in one home (whether they get along or not), cats needs attention, medication, special needs, special accommodations, high maintenance (experience with Persians/Show cats as well), kittens, mothers with a litter of kittens, breastfeeding mothers, newborns without mothers (needing bottle feeding/ warming/ etc), elderly cats, literally any cat you have I probably have the experience, and if I don't, I will give it my everything to take care of them as if they were my own. I also used to volunteer for my local animal shelters /humane society. I have also volunteered for a cat rehoming facility/cat care adoption center, CatRangers. Currently fully open to any schedule needed. I am flexible to adjust to any need for any animal any day of the week needed for animals I don't want to interrupt the pet or animal's normal routine or make them feel the distance between the owner. I am here to happily distract them from your absence and create an enjoyable time for them!

Wakonda Beach pet parents share their Rover experiences
Melanie was awesome! We have two elderly dogs and this was the first time we EVER had to leave them with a sitter, and Melanie went above and beyond - both with the dogs and with calming OUR nerves. She sent daily pictures, she spent time just chillin’ with them, walked them, brought a radio and left music playing during the day, followed a complicated medication schedule - and the dogs were absolutely fine when we got home.

We were very grateful to Melanie for watching Rosie while we traveled to medical appointments. She was very professional, knowledgeable and communicative. Rosie loved her time with Melanie. We would certainly recommend Melanie as a pet sitter and hope to use her again.
