Garth and Tracy were amazing! We were in the area for a family reunion and were struggling with what to do with our puppy for a large part of the day. Garth and Tracy were kind enough to accept a next day booking for us and did a wonderful job caring for Gus. He seemed very happy when we picked him up and we were so relieved to be able to leave Gus somewhere where we did not need to worry about him at all. If we ever find ourselves back in the area or have friends/family that need help with their dog nearby, Garth and Tracy will be our first choice.

About: Owned dogs all my life with experience from puppy to end of life. I truly believe our pets are part of the family and should be treated as such I often work from home with a lot of flexibility. I am up early and stay up late so can be accommodating to many schedules I do not have a fenced yard, I leash walk animals regularly. Historically with my own dogs I have underground fencing. Safety and attention are my concerns for animals

Keeley and Ryan are the best. When my normally shy dog pulls me to their front door I know he feels comfort. He fell asleep on the car ride home.

Alexis provided a safe and cool place for our dogs while we were passing through. Just needed a day so we could explore the zoo before getting back on the road with our dogs. She sent pics throughout the day and gave us a peace of mind in knowing our dogs were safe. If we’re ever in the area again and need a place for our dogs, we’d be happy to hire Alexis again. She was wonderful!

Maizy came home a happy dog. She was happy to see me at he end of the day but seemed happy to hang out a while longer too. She met new friends, played hard, and came home with tired paws. I think Stacy, Pearl, and Fred are beloved friends now.

About: I grew up on a farm so taking care of animals is what I have done my whole life. I am good with all age ranges from the younger ones full of energy to the seniors that enjoy their own space. I currently watch my friend’s dogs and check in on their cats. I travel for work but when I’m home can work from anywhere! I travel for work but when I’m home can work from wherever. I have a fenced in yard for easy potty breaks and also go for walks around the neighborhood. I have a very friendly Jack Russell Terrier who LOVES all other dogs no matter the size as well as cats. My apartment has its own private fenced in yard. The inside is big enough to kennel as needed or let them have their own space if they prefer. I have 2 dog parks in my apartment with one being decided to small dogs only.

We have world as pet sitters for our family, friends, and neighbors for over 20 years and have a wide knowledge base when it comes to animal care including administration of medications in multiple forms, specialty diet care, exercise accommodations, and aiding animals with anxiety issues (separation anxiety, weather related anxieties, trauma responses etc) We have experience in caring for young puppies all the way up to senior dogs and love them all. You can expect us to be communicative, punctual, respectful responsible with your furry friends because we know they are a very important part of your family. Jillian is currently a stay at home parent with a child in school full time meaning her mornings and afternoons are free for walks, drop ins, daycare etc. in the evenings and on the weekend we work as a team to ensure we are able to provide exemplary care for your pets either in our home or at your residence. Our home has a fully fenced in back yard with a six foot privacy fence and a secure lock on the gate, we also have an extensive security system with door sensors, cameras etc. We know that your pet is a vital member of your family so we will always go above and beyond to ensure their safety and security at all times while under our care. this includes, never letting them off leash in a non secure area, making sure they are safely secured in our vehicles, ensuring there are no safety hazards or dangerous foods where they could come into contact, and we will always be engaged and attentive to your pups needs throughout the day. We know that pets need to keep their routines to ensure they feel comfortable and safe so we will always ask for a detailed timeline of your pups day and will do all we can to stick to it. About: Your pup must be respectful of cats please. I completely understand curiosity, just not stalking or chasing. I took so much care of our lab when she was 15 and had Cushings. I definitely have a sweet spot for senior pets. She has since crossed the 🌈. Max is our 5 yr old Husky/Lab mix and he's our sweet big boy. We have love for big and small dogs! We have a huge grassy 6 and 4 ft fenced in yard (we connected to our neighbors 4 ft fence - see pictures) and Max would seriously love a friend to play with or just chill with. My husband and I work from home so one of us will be home all the time. We usually go on a mid morning walk and an evening walk, weather permitting. My kids are 11 and 16 and adore animals. We have a cat, Freddy, who loves Max. We will love your pet like they were our own ♥️ My husband and I work from home full-time. Our dog has separation anxiety so one of us will be home when your pet is here! We have a 6 and 4 ft privacy fence, large grassy backyard. Max gets on the leather couch but not our fabric couch or bed. He doesn't ever try. We wake up early to feed Max at 7 so early mornings is a non issue in our house! We typically go on 2 short walks a day (15-20 min). We're a chill household.

Ariana was awesome! She was accommodating to my early drop off needs and was already familiar with Dixie from reviewing her care notes ahead of time. I got updates and pictures throughout the stay and Dixie was calm and happy when I picked her up. Ill definitely be saving Ariana as one of our favorite sitters!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Wahoo

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 340 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Wahoo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Wahoo commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 340 sitters in Wahoo, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Don't let your 9-to-5 stop you from being a great pet parent. When you're heading to work, drop off your beloved pet with a loving dog sitter near you. Your dog will get the love and care they're used to at home, and you'll get photo updates and the peace of mind that comes from finding great care for your pet. We're proud to offer a wide range of pet care, including puppy day care and pet day care for all kinds of pets. We know you love your pets, but you can't always be there, which is where our loving sitters come in. Forget kennels, find a loving neighbor who will give your dog the one-on-one attention they deserve. That way, when you head to work, you know your dog's in good hands.
