“Shay was amazing with my two pups. When she came for the meet and greet the dogs loved her and she was not worried about them being bigger dogs. She sent me plenty of photos of my babies. She was great and I would book with her every time!!”

“Laken was a pleasure to work with! Very friendly communication and thorough updates. My cats are not super social with strangers but I’m hoping if we have Laken do any future sitting, they’ll get used to having her watch them.”

“We truly feel so lucky to have come across Patricia! We were in town for a funeral and didn't have anyone to watch our two girls at home, so they had to come along. We stayed at a pet-friendly hotel, and I reached out to Patricia to see if she might be available to keep them company. She responded so quickly, which meant a lot to us during an already stressful time. From the moment she arrived, we knew the girls were in good hands. She was kind, professional, and right on time. But most importantly, our girls took to her right away and clearly felt safe and comfortable with her. Thanks to Patricia, we were able to attend the funeral and reception without worry, knowing they were being cared for with love. We are so grateful!”

“Our little Kramer Dude loved her! I didn’t worry at all while we were on our trip. It’s so nice to have that comfort now. Ashley is amazing and has a lot of experience, that’s why we booked her for our senior dog! She even helped with brushing his teeth every night! Will book again with her in the future!”

About: I am detail oriented and love schedules. I am punctual and will send updates and photos to your specifications. Whether your babies need crated or cuddled, I am the one for the job. I am currently not working so I am available most days and weekends. I have 2 friendly dogs that love to walk and play as well. I have a fenced in yard, lots of space for the animals to roam around freely. My dogs are both friendly and happy to meet new friends.

About: I am deaf, so I am able to bond with pets more because they cannot communicate their needs with humans. I am likewise, so I hope to communicate with gestures as they may did. I am studying in a certificate program, so that shouldn’t be a problem. I will work during the workdays, and I can be available during weekends. I have two kittens and three koi fishes. They are fed once in the mornings or evenings. I cuddle them for some time but left them to wander wherever their curiosity attracted them. My cats like to sit on my chest or necks when they wished to, but I left them to their desires when they want to.
“Wendi was so professional during the meet and greet and was punctual to each drop-in that was scheduled. She provided adorable pictures of our babies while we were gone and recorded their pee/poo/water breaks aswell. I am thrilled at how effortless Wendi made this whole process and It certainly gave me peace of mind while I was away. We are looking for someone that is reliable and we can form a working relationship with that way our dogs don’t have to see new faces everytime we leave them-Wendi is our girl! We look forward to working with her again in the future!”

“Kristen came in clutch! We made a last-minute decision to extend our vacation and booked an Airbnb in the small town of Cadiz where sitter selection was sparse. Kristen responded to my request immediately and was willing to drive 30 minutes after work to take care of Bogey. The visit was flawless, she followed directions perfectly, and we returned to a happy dog. His bully looks were no issue for her either. I also appreciated the pics she sent. We felt comfortable leaving his care in her hands and would do so again. Maybe with more than 7 hours notice next time ?”

“Kelsey was excellent would definitely use her again. She did a wonderful job caring for my pets for an extended period of time. Received daily pictures that helped reassure quality of care. Many thanks Kelsey”
“Jenna really spent quality time with the boys…great pics she took!! She is a sweetheart and truly cares about her clients. Please book her if you need a great and caring provider for your fur babies!”

“Zel was a phenomenal sitter for the week that we were away. She is communicative, thorough and took great care of all three of our kitties. She stopped by prior to her first visit, asked excellent questions to make sure she knew the ropes, and provided consistent, thorough updates on how things were going at home. She left everything very neat and tidy (a feat with three furballs with some health struggles) and we returned home to cats + plants well cared for. We've had a few different sitters through Rover and I can confidently say that Zel is the best of the best - even though it was our first time booking with her, we felt totally at ease knowing that she was caring for our three cats. It was so wonderful to not have to worry about how things were going at home and to truly be able to get away. We'll definitely be hiring Zel again for future sitting needs!”

“First booked with Briana for 2 days because we had family members watching our dog on the other days of our vacation. Our family members canceled, Briana went above and beyond to make sure each day was cover without hesitation . 10/10 would recommend!”

About: I’ve always had animals in my life. Dogs and cats have been an integral part of my upbringing and now adult life. Family, friends, and coworkers have always relied on me to take care of their beloved pets. I currently work Monday through Friday 7:25-3:25 so any time before or after that as well as weekends I am free to spend with your babies. I can easily swing by for drop in visits and play with your pets and show them the love they need when your away. I also can do walks and trips in the car to parks and trails.
About: I’ve always had pets growing up. Throughout my childhood my family had two cats and a dog. After moving out of my parents house, I rescued two kitties who I’ve had for about 2 years. I treat them like my children. Im currently working in the office, but can work at home when need be. When I’m in the office, I can leave once a day to run home and let out animals if need be. I live in a safe & secure apartment. I currently have two cats who can make quite the mess. I find myself cleaning the litter every two or three days. Vacuuming hair once-twice a week & brushing them daily.
About: I will treat your family like my own! I grew up taking care of multiple cats, and have a special place in my heart for them - any minute I get to spend with a cat is a minute well spent. I also have years of experience caring for the dogs of friends and family. As a teacher, my afternoons and evenings are especially free and open. I am also open to finding time in the early mornings (before 7am) if that is your preference! I treat every pet with the care, love, and time that they deserve, while respecting the wishes and preferences of them and their owners. If there is anything you'd like me (not) to do, just let me know!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
