About: I'm a licensed small-animal veterinarian retired from 40 years of clinical work. I'm comfortable with pets of all needs, including medical treatments. I wish to continue service to animals through providing daily care. I love being around animals of all types, including dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, birds, reptiles, fish, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, etc. I also have a wealth of training experience based on positive reinforcement. I'm retired from clinical settings (working under my maiden name Carol Hansen, DVM), and still maintain an active lifestyle. I'm free most days. My routine is very flexible. I spend time with my own 2 dogs and 5 feral cats. I love travel and seeing wildlife worldwide. I have done pet care for my own and others' pets for most of my life. About: I treat every animal I take care of like they are mine. All of my animals are VERY spoiled and loved and get the best quality care I can offer. I love being outside (weather isn’t a issue I’ll walk dogs in the rain/snow!). I’ve taken care of puppies that needed help potty training all the way to old senior dogs that need special medication 3 times a day. I love all breeds! I believe there are no “bad breeds”. I will love on your dog the whole time I’m with them and treat them like they are mine. I know it’s hard for you to leave your animal, so especially during the 1st couple days I will spend extra time with them to make sure they are comfortable with me and not stressed about you leaving. I also love cats. I’ve taken care of kittens and having to bottle feed them to old cats with maintenance/special lifestyles. I believe cats need as much attention as dogs. I have owned horses for 20 years. I can also care for any and all equines. I’ve worked with unhandled horses to high end show horses. I don’t mind making up grain, cleaning stalls and weighing hay as needed. The only animal I will not watch are snakes. I will happily watch any critter you have! Just no snakes. If I’m being honest I’m absolutely terrified of them. Lol! It is second nature to me. Taking care of animals is just the norm. It is always a priority to me. I’m always thinking about them and how to make them happier. I work, but it is very flexible so I am able to let out for potty breaks and give meds as needed. I will follow your routine with your animals so it’s not strange for them with a new person. They will be treated as if they are my own personal pet. Lots of snuggles, pets, love and treats if allowed! Your house will be as clean as when you left it. I always strip the bed, start any laundry, take out trash, wipe down everything and make sure all dishes are done and put away if applicable.

I am no longer able to watch no more than one small dog or cat from my own home, but would still love to work with your pets in your home, while you are away at work or on vacation. I am however able to watch cats in my home! I'm able to check in on your living pets throughout the day and take your pup/pups on long walks. And spend quality time with her/him while you are away. Then of course there is belly scratching time or perhaps a game of catch. Your pup is sure to be spoiled by me! Also I am able to feed and water any other pets you may have while I am there. I would love to meet with you and your precious pup, for a walk around the block! I accept all types of doggies, kitties and such!! If you book with me, I will send you updates by skype/text/video and pictures. Whatever your preference. I just want you and your little one to feel safe and secure. We just adore animals of all kinds in our loving home. I am retired with adult children that live in another state, so I jabe plenty of free time to look in on your pet family! My pets are super friendly and adapt well to other animals, as we have been caring for other animals since we've had them. About: I am reliable and very responsible with all fur babies! I am confident in CPR for animals, but still working on certification. I have a deep passion for animals, and it translates through the way I interact with them! As I pursue my masters in psychology online, I like to fill my time helping out families as I raise money for my education! Currently, I have live online classes monday 3-9:30 and I am a clinical intern in the mental health field. Those work hours very, but I like to keep them strictly to Tuesdays and Thursdays. Depending on needs, I can be very flexible! Many services I provide include walking, housesitting, potty training, bathing and other basic needs. I want to keep your fur baby busy throughout the day!!
