“Emily and Bryan took wonderful care of our dog while we were traveling. They sent multiple updates throughout our trip which really helped put our minds at ease. We would definitely use them again in the future.”

“Happy to find Robin as we had a last minute need for overnight care for Biko and Bruno. She did an excellent job taking our dogs on walks and engaging them in play. Her knowledge and training skills were such a plus, quickly assuring us that our dogs were in good hands. Her photo and video reports were terrific! We picked up some happy pups and will definitely return. Thank you Robin!”

“Karen and Chris were great with our cat! He can be a bit annoying looking for attention but they were patient and he was spoiled and well cared for. Looking forward to booking with them again.”

“After interviewing multiple Rover sitter candidates for my senior beagle, Flash, I selected Anu and her family. Anu has a very nice house situated on a large lot, located in a quiet subdivision. Anu provided excellent communication via texts and pictures on how Flash was settling in like he was part of the family. Flash wasted no time in finding the sunny places to nap and even took over their own dog's bed at times. After a 10-day road trip, I returned, expecting an emotional reunion with Flash but he was nonchalant and that has never happened before. I plan to use Anuradha's services again and I highly recommend checking her out for your pet.”

“Bobbi was absolutely amazing with Franklin! She kept me updated with pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear she truly loves dogs and treated him like one of her own. I’ll definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

“Krystal is very friendly and answers my message quickly my dog came back very tired from all the play her dog is also very playful this made a grate match for my dog Dexter.”

“Maria’s house was perfect for my dog Tasha because Tasha HATES other animals and Maria doesn’t have any pets. Tasha was pampered, and Maria sent me some really adorable pictures of her while I was out of town. Then, when my plane was extremely delayed on my way home, Maria stayed up to past midnight so I could pick Tasha up before heading home. I was so appreciative. 10 stars!”

“Cathy was a great sitter for Bandit! She was very communicative, reasonably flexible, and captured so many cute moments of Bandit’s stay with her. I would absolutely book Cathy again.”

“Judy is awesome! She takes great care in understanding the routine for my doggy. They will make sure your dog is well taken care of and adjusting well. She is very responsive and sends me updates with pictures! 😊 Im happy to book my doggy's stay with her. 💕”

“We could not have been happier with the care that Laura and her family provided for our 2-year-old Black Lab, Jewel, while we were in New York for five days. Laura checked in regularly and shared funny photos of Jewel clearly living her best life! Laura and her family went above and beyond—they even set up a small plastic pool, which Jewel seemed to thoroughly enjoy, along with plenty of playtime and frolicking with the children. Their fenced-in yard and quiet neighborhood provided a safe and welcoming environment. When our return flight was unexpectedly canceled and we needed to stay an extra day in New York, Laura was incredibly accommodating and flexible. We felt completely at ease knowing Jewel was in such good hands. I highly recommend Laura and her family to anyone looking for loving, reliable, and attentive pet care.”

“Rebecca was absolutely wonderful! Her and her family took amazing care of Monty while we were away — sending regular updates, photos, and making sure he got plenty of love, walks, and playtime. It gave us peace of mind knowing our dog was in such good hands. I’d definitely recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Eric was absolutely fantastic with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Emmett. He’s a big boy, he was recovering from some surgery, and he is a picky eater so I had a long list of instructions! She nailed it and he absolutely loved her! She sent me updates daily and he looked so happy and taken care of in each picture. I will absolutely have Erica watch Emmett again!”

About: I have worked with numerous animals since I was 5 years old. I have owned chickens, rabbits, horses, dogs, and cats my entire life. I am a 4-H leader where I teach children how to train dogs and I help them show and prepare their animals at fair. I also show my own animals at the fair. Additionally, I have pet sat for numerous family members over the years as well as friends. I will always be there for your pet and I will make sure they are well taken care of and loved just like they are my own. I am a teacher who is currently on summer break. So my schedule is pretty open during the summer and I have a lot of availability. During the school year, most of my weekends are free as well as when we have breaks. I am flexible and willing to make things work for you! I live on a little hobby farm with my husband. I have 3 dogs and 3 cats who are very friendly. I have everything needed in my home to take care of a dog including a kennel if needed as well as tie outs. We have a lake that is 5 minutes from our house and if your dog loves to swim, I would be happy to take them. I take my dogs all over in the summer and I would make sure your pet gets a lot of attention and exercise as well. Additionally, we have a huge barn and fenced in pasture as well as rabbit hutches in the barn and a chicken coop! Whatever animal you have they can be comfortable at my property. Additionally, if you feel better about your animal staying at home, I am happy to accommodate to that as well.
“Zoe love, love, loves going to Bobbie and Clark's, She fits right in with their dogs, huskies, and their family loves on her. I can't say enough how much she enjoys her time at their home.”

“The dogs had so much fun staying here! We were in town for the weekend and needed a place for them to stay. When we picked up our lab she probably would have stayed longer if she could have due to all of the fetch she got to play. If we are ever back in the Sheboygan area and need a dog sitter we will definitely ask again. Thank you guys for taking such good care of them!”

“This was my first time using Rover or just having my dog stay at someone's house. In the past with prior dogs I had used kennel services. I really didn't want to do that with Willow since she is a great Dane and I didn't want her to be cooped up in a kennel since I was going to be gone for 1 week. Willow had a great time and actually seemed a bit sad on our drive home. Dallas sent updates every other day which made me comfortable enough not to worry while I was gone. I would definitely recommend Dallas as a sitter and I plan on booking another stay”

“Mary was amazing!! My dog does not normally like new people but he loved Mary and she took great care of him. I even had to book last minute because of a funeral. I was able to be fully present with my family at our time of loss because my dog was so well cared for. Thanks Mary!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Valders home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Valders.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Valders sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
