“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”

I tried Rover once before; I selected a house sitter, and the person indicated she was staying, but I don't think she spent much time here; there was little sign of her living here and my cat was hysterical and needy when I returned. A young couple for house sitting is a good idea - they won't get lonely or bored by themselves. They were personable, responsible, and responsive, with good communication. They sent me lots of videos every day of my cat being content and entertained. My cat tends to be afraid of men, but she warmed right up to Jay, he was good with her. When I got home kitty greeted me as if I had only come home from the grocery store; she had been well taken care of. Alexia and Jay left the house clean and tidy. I offered to pay them extra for various chores around the house while they were sitting. They were happy to do them, and did a great job. I came home to a house better than how I'd left it. About: We have had cats my whole life basically. I have house sat for friends and neighbors with cats my whole life. I'm 40 now. My mom has two cats I play with constantly since my current home has someone allergic to cats. I have a rabbit now, who acts a lot like a cat. I can give medicine and groom.

About: We have a kitten of our own who was a completely new atmosphere for me. She was sick when we got her so she checked off all of the things I didn’t know how to do like administering medication in a calm way, giving her a bath and making it positive. Cats are skittish and can be hesitant but it takes the right person to know them.
About: I adopted my cat when she stopped nursing around 7 weeks old and raised her since! Shes about one year old now and is incredibly playful. About: I’ve had pets since I was a kid. I love animals, as they are the most loving and authentic little beings. I’ve always had dogs and have taken care of family/friends/neighbors’ dogs when needed. I offer boarding, walks, a fenced in yard and socialization with my children and my own pets. About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was 5. I’ve always believed that they should be shown so much love and compassion. I currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats of varying ages. I have looked after animals of all sizes and ages so I am well prepared. I have experience with feeding, walking, bathing, bathing, nail trimming, and medication giving. I have taken care of dogs of all ages and backgrounds growing up not only did I dog sit for friends and family, but my family fostered rescue dogs for the mid-atlantic german shorthair pointer rescue. Through all of it, I’ve always loved work that involves caring for people, creating beautiful spaces, and making life a little easier for others. Outside of work, I’m a creative and an adventurer at heart. I love acrylic painting, interior design, hiking, cooking homemade recipes, road trips, and traveling to new places. Give me a beautiful trail, a little town I’ve never explored, a paintbrush, or something new to cook and I’m happy. I also had a dog of my own who I had to say goodbye to a few years ago, and I’ve really missed having that companionship in my everyday life. My current work gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the day, with especially open availability on Sundays and Mondays. I’m happy to follow whatever routine makes your pet happiest—whether that’s long walks and adventures, backyard playtime, or lots of couch snuggles. Most importantly, I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing your little family member is with someone who will genuinely love and care for them. I take them to the dog park, long walks, roaming around in fenced in yards, & lots of snuggles. Whatever you are comfortable with and whatever your dog's typical routine is- I will make sure they are fulfilled.
About: My family has always had a dog. I currently have a 5 year old Spaniel mix named Everest. I would to spend some of my extra time taking care of your fur babies. I also have a Russian Tortoise named Jack! I am looking to make some extra money on my 4 days off from my full time job. If it goes well I might switch to full time. I do live in an apartment but I am close to a beautiful dog park. I walk my dog regularly and we visit the dog park often.

“My dogs had a wonderful stay with Kristen. Her setup is amazing, horse pastures converted to huge, grassy play areas for the dogs, and indoor access to her house when they want to rest.
