About: Dogs control my life! By day I am a receptionist at a local vet clinic/rescue. At home, I have a rescue Chihuahua who is 8 years old and has been with me for 4 wonderful years. My whole day revolves around pets and I can't get enough. I'll treat your pets like the sweet baby angels they deserve to be! I work a later schedule most days of the week, Monday through Thursday I'm in the clinic until 7, and Fridays 9-5. I have plenty of time for morning and night walks, breakfast and dinnertime! I treat my clients home better than my own. You won't even know I was there! I'm clean, respectful and knowledgeable. Dogs are allowed to free roam around the apartment whether I’m with them or gone. If your puppy has energy to burn but knows when to settle down, we’ll get along great! In your own home I will take on any type of dog with any energy level! I will make sure to care for your dog while you are away just as you care for them while you’re in your house. About: Hello my name is Annamaria! I’m about to be a junior here at UW madison pursuing a career in nursing. I am very passionate about healthcare and quality patient care but I always loved animals! I have a lot of experience with dogs and a little with cats (though I am willing to learn). I have owned my dog for 17 years. She was a smaller dog but I also have experience with larger dogs from my step dad’s pitt mix who is now a senior. In addition I have done a lot of work at PAWs Chicago. With volunteering I have done a lot of dog and cat socialization and walks. Additionally in moving to level 2 volunteering I took a dog behavior class and gained experience in how to detect and react to rough and anxious behavior in pets. I also love going on walks especially in the summer so if you have a pet thats looking for some activity I’m your girl! I have also had experience with parakeets, hamsters, and guinea pigs (it was really easy to convince my mom to get new pets). As Summer approaches and classes our ending I’m looking at a lot of open availability starting May 16 to be flexible to owners needs. In my time volunteering I have seen that animals all have different personalities that can vary situation to situation so I really want to give your animals the space and patience to get to know me on their terms. About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. My family growing up never had less than 3 pets at a time so I've grown up loving and rescuing animals including taking care of outdoor feral cats,stray dogs, etc. I currently have two cats of my own and hope to have more in the future at the very least by fostering :) Besides when working my 9/5 or rover I spend most of my free time with my cats. I also keep a cat crate and food in my car in case I ever see any stray cats and I have a humane trap at home. I have raised puppies and kittens from 2 months old and have had elderly pets that have lived to be 19 years old so I have experience with lots of pets of different ages, breeds, and personality types. I've taken care of upwards of 7 cats all in the same household so I am also experienced with caring for multiple pets including households with multiple cats and also dogs. I also have experience to varying degrees with deer, rabbits, horses, chickens, quail, and fish. I think pets are family and best friends and I am excited to meet yours and give them lots of love and attention I may be wearing a mask - don’t worry I’m not sick I am very immunocompromised so I mask around strangers just as an extra precaution so I don’t get sick For daycare or boarding for dogs I would prefer they are cat friendly but accommodations can be made for sure! Currrntl due to my job I can’t do morning drop ins or walks during the work week but can on weekends and can still do boardings. There are some afternoons where I occasionally have avilability and my availability is subject to change so please feel free to still message to ask :) I still do have lots of weekend free time too :) I’m happy to watch multi pet house holds and do daycare for multiple dogs if you have more than one! During meet ups I may be wearing a mask - don’t worry I’m not sick I am very immunocompromised so I mask around strangers just as an extra precaution so I don’t get sick In my own household I would provide them with their own toys, food and water bowls, and take them for lots of walks if applicable. My pets and any animals here are allowed to be on the furniture like the couches and bed but I usually put a blanket and a small bed on the ground in case some babies feel more comfy with that. I am more than happy to also crate them!
