About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. Growing up, I cared for rabbits, hamsters, mice, and a pet rat. Today I share my home with my 13 year old cat, Meeko, and my housemate’s friendly 12 year old dog. I recently said goodbye to my senior cat after 16 wonderful years together. During the last few years of his life, I administered medication multiple times a day and became experienced in caring for an aging pet with extra medical needs. That experience strengthened my patience, attention to detail, and understanding that every pet deserves individualized, compassionate care. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I know pets thrive on routine, so I’ll follow your instructions closely—from feeding schedules and walks to medications, favorite toys, and bedtime routines. During drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, fresh water, and lots of affection. I understand that having a stranger in the house can be stressful for both pets and owners, so I’ll always treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own. For boarding, I have a securely fenced backyard for supervised outdoor play. I only accept one boarding dog at a time so I can provide a calm, personalized experience and ensure every pet receives plenty of attention. My home also includes my cat and my housemate’s dog, so I only accept dogs that are comfortable around cats and other dogs. This helps create a calm, safe environment for everyone.

About: I have been caring for dogs since 2013, starting when I was just 9 years old! In 2010, we rescued our first dog, Belle, a rat terrier. In 2021, we adopted another senior dog, Destiny, a miniature poodle, to keep Belle company. Sadly, they both passed away due to old age in 2024. The following summer, my family and I realized how incomplete our lives felt without dogs, so we decide to rescue two more senior dogs, Beanie and Pam! I am heartbroken to say Pam passed away May 17, 2026. My family believes that senior dogs are often overlooked and forgotten, but I love dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. About: I’ve owned dogs, cats, horses for years. No job is too big. I work in veterinary medicine as a technician. I am comfortable with medications, injections, subcutaneous fluids, etc. I currently work full time at Spring Harbor Animal Hospital. I am able to stop morning and evenings around work and then more on weekends! If you need services overnight I do try to check on my kitties before settling in with your pet for the night. In the client home I am very respectful of spaces and leave it as found. I will follow all rules both for myself and for your pet. About: I have been working/volenteering in doggy daycares, animal rescues, and dog sitting for the better part of 10 years - caring for animals remains my purpose in life. I have done Trap-Neuter-Release work in Miami, Feral Kitten Rehabilitation in Sauk, several different doggy daycares, and most recently a semester of veterinary technician classes at MATC. “Our two dogs had a great stay with Michele and her family, and we couldn't be happier with their care! We've had a long-term house and dog sitter who recently relocated away from town, so our dogs had never had the experience of staying away from home without us before. We were a little concerned about how that would go, but right from the start we were reassured by Michelle's friendliness, her evident dog smarts, and her long experience with (sometimes challenging) pups. Before and throughout the boarding process, communication was just right -- clear and relevant, frequent enough to be reassuring but not at all excessive. When we returned home and picked up the dogs, they were in great shape: happy, relaxed, and clearly in no rush to leave Michelle and her family behind :) We'll definitely hope to have them stay again in the future.”

“Ronalisa did wonderfully! Floyd is high energy and can be pushy- so at first I was worried as we had never boarded through Rover before. But it was quickly apparent than Rona was confident and capable even with young and crazy dogs like Floyd. She always got back to me quickly and sent the cutest videos of them playing fetch, swimming, and hiking around. Her dogs are also great too! They helped Floyd play appropriately but still have fun. I would love to board with Rona again”
About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. Growing up, I cared for rabbits, hamsters, mice, and a pet rat. Today I share my home with my 13 year old cat, Meeko, and my housemate’s friendly 12 year old dog. I recently said goodbye to my senior cat after 16 wonderful years together. During the last few years of his life, I administered medication multiple times a day and became experienced in caring for an aging pet with extra medical needs. That experience strengthened my patience, attention to detail, and understanding that every pet deserves individualized, compassionate care. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll treat them with the same love and respect I give my own pets. I work full-time during the week, so I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks before and after work, as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays. I also offer limited weekend boarding for one dog at a time so I can provide each guest with plenty of individual attention and care. My goal is to be flexible while making sure every pet receives the time and attention they deserve. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I know pets thrive on routine, so I’ll follow your instructions closely—from feeding schedules and walks to medications, favorite toys, and bedtime routines. During drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, fresh water, and lots of affection. I understand that having a stranger in the house can be stressful for both pets and owners, so I’ll always treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own. For boarding, I have a securely fenced backyard for supervised outdoor play. I only accept one boarding dog at a time so I can provide a calm, personalized experience and ensure every pet receives plenty of attention. My home also includes my cat and my housemate’s dog, so I only accept dogs that are comfortable around cats and other dogs. This helps create a calm, safe environment for everyone.
