“What can I say? Melissa was amazing. Needed a sitter for our Weimaraner at the last minute. Needed to leave town for family reasons. Called the usual suspects. They gave me the dog and pony show. No pun. Ridiculous what you got to go through to board your dog these days. A few of my friends and customers recommended Rover. I went on there and checked it out. In about 30 minutes from first seeing it, to signing up, I had already booked Melissa to watch our dog Kaiser. I arranged to bring him over, and she couldn't have been any more sweet. I can really tell that she loves animals. Very cool chick too. Our dog was in good hands the couple days he was there. When we got him back, he was well rested, and had none of the anxiety boarding can bring on. About: I grew up with dogs around and found my soul mate dog in my early twenties. I rescued her from the humane association and we took classes on becoming a therapy dog. About: I have cared for many pets big and small and some strange to others. Personally I have owned rats, birds, a bunny, a dog, and now a cat! I have a full time job but it is flexible and i can do drop ins before wotk, lunch break and after. I am also free most weekends. I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs that love other animals. While I’m not able to have any furry companions of my own right now because of my current living situation, I truly miss having them in my life. About: I have grown up with pets, dogs specifically my entire life! I love dogs of all ages, all shapes and sizes! Having an animal companion to spend time with is some of the best company you can ever have! In my family I have helped raise/train puppies, we have also fostered in my household, and I have taken care of animals for friends and family. I am a very active person, I teach phy ed, so I love getting out for walks or runs. I am a teacher, so during the summer my hours are pretty flexible. I do have to teach summer school in the mornings for a short period of time, but then I am available for mid morning or lunch time pet breaks! Making sure all animals are safe and well taken care of is very important to me. Following instructions on how a dog best responds is very critical. Dogs are animals of habit when trained, so I want to continue to follow routines and expectations that their owner has. In my full time job I am trusted with children and I understand that for many people, pets are loved just as much as a child.
About: My name is Holly, I worked as a Pet groomer for 4years. There I learned all sorts of things. From nail clippings to anal gland expressions. After my arm gave out I went to a vet clinic where I was in charge of the kennels. I have experience working with all sort of dogs at all sorts of ages with all sorts of temperaments. Some needed special attention and some where happy with just hanging out. I must say the special needs animals are my favorite. I love giving that extra care to make sure every pet I encounter feels safe and comfy. At the vet clinic I also learned various first aid techniques. I love animals more than I love people. “What can I say? Melissa was amazing. Needed a sitter for our Weimaraner at the last minute. Needed to leave town for family reasons. Called the usual suspects. They gave me the dog and pony show. In about 30 minutes from first seeing it, to signing up, I had already booked Melissa to watch our dog Kaiser. I arranged to bring him over, and she couldn't have been any more sweet.
