“This is the first time we've used Rover.com and we were naturally concerned about leaving Gracie with someone we didn't know, especially for almost two weeks. After meeting Joe and Diana, their girls and their little dog Pickles, we knew Gracie would be well cared for. And she was. While we were on vacation, we got pictures of Pickles and Gracie just chilling out. We even got a movie of them playing together. They apparently were becoming such good buddies, we began to wonder if Gracie would want to come home with us. Joe and Diana were terrific accommodating Gracie's needs. Gracie very much likes to sleep overnight in our bedroom and Joe and Diana arranged for her to do that. Except for one night when they woke to find Gracie's bed was empty. It was not a problem though. They soon found her sleeping with Pickles in the other room. Joe and Diana have the perfect house for dog sitting. They even have a cabinet that runs the length of the front picture window, so Gracie had a place to sit and watch the world outside - one of her favorite pass-times. We will definitely use Joe and Diana to dog sit Gracie in the future. Highly recommend.”

I sit for friends and family from time to time and I love to play and take dogs for walks and, if they are able, runs of up to a few miles! I have a fenced in yard, and my kids (4, 8) are also great with animals. I work from home. With the exception of rare travel days, school drop-offs, and evening events, I will always be around the house to care for your pup. About: I have watched the pets of friends, family, and peers of mine and have had an amazing time doing it! I also had a family dog and I have a cat of my own! I have watched / walked pets of many ages, weights and temperaments and I have been happy with all of them! I am respectful towards boundaries of pets, and have experience grooming my own pets who are reactive at the grooming salon and are better at home. I also have lots of walking dog experience as well. I am working part-time on the weekends, I am able to stay overnight during weekends. I cannot bring any other pet home because of my own cat but I am able to travel and stay at other houses on the weekends. I am able to do one day pet sitting and short and long dog walks as well. I am able to also take dogs or cats on car rides if needed as well! I have cared for my family dog along side my family for her whole 13 year life, she was a yellow lab. I now have a maine coon who is 19 lbs and has double hip dysplasia and a bad knee who is 5 years old. I have groomed both of those pets, walked both of those pets on leashes and taken daily care and made sure any problems they have had, had been helped and treated with care. I safely take directions from owners whose pets I have watched and followed them fully and have reached out an asked questions and made them aware of everything that had happened when they were gone. I take pet care very seriously and I always bring up anything I notice is wrong and always make sure the pets safety and happiness is priority!

I also have other family members available to help entertain and provide company to the dogs on evenings and weekends. I have both a fenced in yard and several baby gates throughout the house. The gates are situated in a way that blocks immediate access to the garage and front door in the event of one of the dogs being an escape artist. I have a large crate for dogs who prefer more of a den space for breaks, however our dogs can and do sleep on various couches, chairs, and beds throughout the house. I also have dog beds and cooling mats available for rest time.
