About: I have over 30 years experience training dogs. I am able to dog sit from my home full time. I recently moved to a large property in the country, that is a short 35 minute drive from Madisons west side. I have a acer that is completely fenced in and I am more than happy to offer pick up and drop off to the west side of Madison. I'm professional trained as a dog groomer, worked professionally for over 6 years as a groomer, dog trainer and doggie daycare provider. I have also worked as a vet assistant for 2 years in Denver Colorado. I am certified in humane and dog CPR and I graduated with an EMS degree for humans, this training helps me respond to variety of situations with confidence. I was a volunteer at two different Humane Society's for over 12 years. I have fostered, rehabilitated and Rehoused 15 dogs most with serious behavioral issues. I also have a full acer that is fenced and I have walking trails in the country and I still frequently go to the dog park and I am never gone more than 1-2 hours. About: I have had my own pets since college, but grew up with dogs. I’ve had a range of dogs from border collies, to labs, to Great Danes, to Basset hounds. I also have had numerous cats. All of my dogs have lived long, exceptionally spoiled lives, and I follow current dog training suggestions for behavior. I’ve raised a few litters of Danes, and most recently, a litter of Bassets. Recently, I have been helping friends with their animals when they vacation and am looking to extend my client group to the local area. I am very active so walking dogs is very enjoyable for me. About: I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life, from very young to end of life care. I have always had pets in my home i,e, dogs, cats, gerbils, fish, Chinchilla, and outdoor rabbits. I grew up with pets always around. I have time during the weekday to be able to walk your dogs. About: I currently volunteer for a dog rescue organization. I have several years of experience training dogs and know how to read dog's cues for aggression, anxiety, and fear. I love walking and training dogs. I won't fetch, but I'll play fetch for hours if your dog desires! I give treats minimally and praise maximally! I'm open to using whatever method you're used to for training your dog. I use a prong collar with my pooch on walks, and know how to properly adjust the fit so the collar sits comfortably on the dog's neck. I own my own home, and have plenty of leashes, collars, and toys to occupy your pooch and make them feel like they've won the dog lottery. I'm mostly available on weekends, and work during the week with some flexibility. I'm situated in Verona near the Westside of Madison!

“Juan has great! He and his son were very attentive with our dog. We were sent pictures throughout the day, and given updates about how our boy was doing! He has very high anxiety with strangers, and he had no problem calming down and napping with this family! When booking, we were told another dog would also be in Juan's care. He made sure that was okay with us, and went above and beyond to make sure our dogs never crossed paths (as we don't know if our dog is good with others yet) If you need a sitter, Juan is a great option! Very flexible, kind, and an overall great influence on your furry friend!”
