About: Hi there! My name is Michelle and Ive been a pet owner since I was a child. My family always had dogs, cats, pocket pets, and the occasional tarantula. Im the niece of a large animal veterinarian whose clinic I volunteered at after school and summers. Currently my husband and I are owned by a Labrador Retriever and an English Setter. About: I've been around animals my whole life. I have a cat and have had several different dogs. I even fostered dogs for a summer. I'm now divorced and have my kids half the time. My work is flexible and I can add in dog care as needed throughout the day. I homeschool my boys when I have them and work delivery jobs when I don't. My work is very flexible so I can make time for per care any time. I live in town with a small yard. It works best to come to your home as it's most familiar for the animal. About: I have worked for roughly two years dog sitting for friends and family. Typically these have been in my own home - occasionally overnight. I have a fenced in back yard for my 3 dogs & 2 cats so I have experience with both :) I have complete availability currently, so my dog at home gets quite a lot of walks and park time. If possible, i also try to socialize him with people each day. Typically I take my dog to the dog park in the evening with a long walk in the morning. This works best for my dogs energy levels, but each dog is different. I am also trying to socialize my dog in public as he is a bit scared of humans so we try to hit some breweries here and there.

I offer boarding, day care, dog walking, and can bathe your pup before returning them home to you. I can also pick up and drop off when needed. I can also house sit and pup sit if that is your need/comfortability as well. I work during the normal school year as a nursing instructor. I am off during the summer and am home FULL TIME to dedicate ALL of my time & attention to the fur babies! Boarding at my home: safety is my top priority with animal to animal interaction and human to animal interaction. If pups need more alone time/privacy, they can be housed separately from my dogs at all times as we have multiple access points from our home to our fenced in yard and gate sectioning in our house. I do walks daily with them and am outside with them as well for the majority of the day. Our fenced in yard has a dog pool and I have BUCKETS of toys for them to play with! If your pup leans toward the spicier side & is more protective when it comes to their toys, food, or water please let me know and separation accommodations can be made, no problem. All breeds are different and each pup is different. I can also give medications topically, orally, injections etc. I can provide hourly updates through text, video call, phone calls, whatever you would like! At minimum I send a daily update. In your home: as a nurse, safety is always my top priority. I am also extremely clean and organized. I can maintain your daily routine with your pup so they don’t miss much while you are away. Again, meet and greets I encourage so you and especially your pup are comfortable meeting me and being in your home. I’ll be their make-shift auntie while you are away! About: They say to do what you love and make a career out of it. I’m just grateful my career gets to be with dogs. I currently work at a doggy daycare/boarding facility in the area, so I am certified with dog and cat behaviors and have seen the ups and downs of our fur babies, and I am still standing here happy to tell you all about their stay/session. Pet care for me starts at dawn lol My pups come for cuddles and a potty break first sight of my eyes opening. Most of the time this does align with my work schedule in the 6 am timeframe. I do work part time and in those morning shifts end roughly at 12-3 however my partner is typically home before me to let the pups outside. While I personally do not have a yard, my family does own large pasture fields and hills that we will typically walk daily. These colder seasons do affect how often we go out due to the snow and unplowed hills. However in that safe weather we make it a main priority to keep active with our pups to maintain a healthy and long life for them. Safety is priority number one. Thankfully my family is pretty much set up for success here. We are knowledgeable for food, behavior, and play safety with dogs and cats. Signs and symptoms of common issues with dogs and cats, based off personal experiences, and possible fears of what ifs, urinary cat blockages and bloat, or bloody stools. And while I understand dog body language and know how to avoid those tense situations dogs can create, I am incredibly quick to say when we are going to the emergency vet, gosh forbid.

I also always check in with the client about their pet's basic needs, such as how much they are fed and how often, how often they are let out, if there is any needs for any disabilities, etc.

Doing everything from walks, runs and drop ins to staying over night and taking care of the house and land as well. I’m current an active student at UW stout with an open schedule open almost all day to take care of the needs of pets. Im an advocate for running and lifting and love to go on runs with dogs and train hunting dogs. I have a very active dog as is so I’m constantly watching or playing with him. I tend to make sure all small items are picked up, all chemicals are put away and am always on watch. I’m comfortable with both crate training and roaming animals.
