Last year, we said goodbye to our English Bulldog after 12 wonderful years, and while my family is not quite ready for another forever pup yet, I am excited to open our home and hearts to other dogs in the meantime. When he wouldn't eat his usual dog food, she prepared him special food (with our blessing). After starting my career as a pet groomer, I started working at a boarding facility where I fell in love with pet care! They can hang out with our resident Field Spaniel furkids, Starlet, Russell, KC and Trixie. Some dogs are quick to play and explore, while some dogs are shy and require more attention. I love all dogs and adapt my approach to your dog’s personality. If you see I am not available for certain dates, but still want service if I can rearrange I try to accommodate. I have been working in the animal care industry since 2012 and have worked with and trained dogs for a long as I can remember. I offer expert level care for medically complex cases and a fear free approach for anxious pets. I have experience working with anxious and aggressive dogs as well as competition trained dogs. Being crate trained is a must for overnight stays. I do have 1 large crate here but encourage you to bring your pet's crate from home if able. Self- employed with a flexible schedule, I have all day availability and can also do early morning and late evening drop ins. About: I have had both cats and dogs since I was born and have lots of experience providing care for many ages, behaviors, and disabilities. Over the last few years, I have aided with foster dog care, and while it can be challenging, it is very rewarding. Over the last few years, I have seen seniors, puppies, and pregnant dogs come through the home, and I always try to provide the best care I can while trying to find homes that are a good fit! I am working a part-time job at Carthage College and have ample time to help provide care. During the weekdays, I am quite flexible with my availability. On weekends I have lots of flexibility as well in order to provide ample support and care for pets. I am very active, so I am more than willing to provide walks and activities for your pup! If your dog needs medication, I am able to administer it when needed. I can also provide time outside and around the home if the dog must be in a crate.
About: I've been walking dogs for family and friends since I was about 13, and I've always cherished those moments of connection. I have a deep love for animals. Even at almost 40 years old, if I see a turtle in the road, I can't help but stop and try to save it. I've recently embarked on a weight loss journey and have quite a bit to lose.
