About: I have been an emergency and critical care veterinary technician for 10 years so I’m very comfortable with senior pets or pets with medical needs. I work relief at two pet hospitals and have 3 children so no 2 days looks alike for me and that’s how I like it. I love to be outdoors and love finding new places to walk and explore with my little crew. I live in the country so my backyard includes trials, fields, and woods to play in. I also love to travel so I know how stressful it is to leave your pup with someone else so I’ll be sure to send lots of pictures and as many updates as you’d like! About: I've been taking care of dogs on my own since middle school. We've always had a family dog in the household as well as friends and neighbors who would need help with their little ones. I have a BS in Animal Science, have worked as an emergency vet assistant/triage tech for the last 3 years, and have some professional dog training experience. About: I have experience caring for animals of all kinds, though I can currently only offer in-my-home care to dogs. I have always had family pets growing up. I got my own dog when I was in high school. I currently own 2 well-mannered dogs, a hunting labrador and a scent detection pit-mix. I have more than 2 years of professional gun dog training experience, and have trained over 50 puppies/dogs. I currently work from home, so I will be able to accommodate any schedule your pet may need. My own dogs recieve 2 feedings per day (5am and 5pm). We often take a morning walk (typically no less than 1-2 miles, less if I am walking a young puppy or senior dog with mobility issues). Also evening walks if weather is appropriate. I do not allow my dogs to do strenuous activity or rough play right after a meal. The yard is not fenced, so dogs will be on leash or long-line and fully supervised when outside the home. For off-lead outdoor fun we will take trips to the local dog park (not a very heavily trafficed dog park, usually empty). I have experience providing oral and subcutaneous medication to pets, should your pet need medication while in my care.

I am using Rover to help heal and help with other dog lovers out there and care for their loved ones! I work Monday-Thursday. My biggest emphasis while pet sitting is keeping the pet parent daily informed with updates and pictures. “I have never boarded a pet before, and this was a great first experience! Korri and James treated my cat like one of their own. She had her own space, and they gave her plenty of attention. I loved the photos of their daughter reading to Nikky and played with him. Their Chocolate Lab was a great buddy for Nikky. They played very well together.”
