“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. The personal touches are unmatched to anything we’ve experienced in the past and we will absolutely recommend her every chance we get! Thank you Cilyr!”

About: I regularly care for a family friend’s two cats. When looking after cats, I always make sure that they have fresh food and water, that their surroundings are clean, that they are healthy and behaving normally, and that I check on them through the day. I also make sure to play with them everyday for about an hour, depending on how much they like to play, either once or twice a day. I pay attention to their moods and activities to make sure that they are not only happy but also entertained, without overdoing it. Overall, I am keen on ensuring that the cats are happy in their absence.

About: I have a short haired calico named Coco and have many friends with cats that I get to hang out with. When I adopted Coco 5 years ago she was a terrified stray who didn’t know how to accept love. Now she’s the most spoiled little princess and can never get enough butt pats and head scritches. About: I love all animals, but cats have always had a special place in my heart. My family adopted a kitten in the year before I was born, and she immediately claimed all the baby gear for herself. She became a protector for her new human, always nearby and keeping an eye on anyone who came near me. She was the first of many cats and a few dogs, all ranging in age, personality, and needs. I adopted my own kitten in 2020, Saturn, and he is my entire life (and camera roll). He is sassy, loud, HUGE, impossibly soft, and the biggest, grumpiest baby I've ever met. I have a bank of knowledge from personal and professional experience, and I'm often that one friend who has answers to cat-related questions. Each of them are so unique and communicate with us in different ways, and one of my favorite things is learning a cat's mannerisms and likes/dislikes. Even the grumpiest or most aloof cats just need a little patience and learning how they like to interact. I am always down to snuggle or just be in the same room as them, provide different kinds of enrichment with toys or puzzles, or if your kitty is an adventurer, leash time outside. Grooming is always a toss up with cats, but I'm comfortable with the basics - brushing, nail trims, the occassional bath. About: I’ve grown up in a household that has always had at least two dogs, usually 3. We also have 3 indoor-outdoor cats. I am now a student at UW Madison, and I have a 5yr old heeler shepherd mix. Throughout her life I have trained her for obedience and herding, and have dealt with low confidence and reactivity with her daily. I am experienced with dogs who are shy and tend to be reactive. I have a part time internship at UW Madison, so I have partially and completely free days every week. That being said, I will have plenty of time to make house visits around this schedule. When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. The personal touches are unmatched to anything we’ve experienced in the past and we will absolutely recommend her every chance we get! Thank you Cilyr!”

“Our 2 dogs stayed at Sarah's for about a week earlier this month. The stay was great! We got daily updates, including photos and videos. They have a fantastic large fenced in yard where they could safety run and play. They had lots of playtime, but also lots of snuggles and love. They were both clearly enjoying their own vacation at Sarah's while we were gone on ours. It was so refreshing to know they were so well cared for while we were away- we have already rebooked them for our next trip!”
