“We left our dog Toffee with Jenny and her family for 5 days while we attended a work conference, and we could not have asked for a better experience! This was our first time using Rover and leaving Toffee with someone we didn’t know, so we were definitely nervous at first. Jenny immediately made us feel comfortable with constant updates, pictures, and videos throughout the entire stay. Toffee had the absolute best time running around in her huge backyard, playing with her kids and her two dogs, and getting so much love and attention. It truly felt like he was treated as part of their family. You can tell Jenny genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. I recently moved to a large property in the country, that is a short 35 minute drive from Madisons west side. I have a acer that is completely fenced in and I am more than happy to offer pick up and drop off to the west side of Madison. About: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life. From the responsibility of family pets, to walking dogs for family friends and neighbors when I was 8 years old. As an adult I have rescued senior dogs, I have a soft spot for them. I also have experience with bully breeds and absolutely love them. I love dogs of all breeds and I can’t wait to meet yours. I currently go to school part time, it is all computer based and self paced so I have plenty of time to spend with your fur babies while you’re away. Available during the week and weekends. In addition, now that summer sports have ended, I’m home most weekends. I’m available for house sitting, drop-in care, walks, and extended care. My goal is to make your pet(s) as comfortable, loved, and cared for as if you had never left, and to give you peace of mind while you’re away. I know that every family has a different way of caring for their pets. I want to work with you to find out how best to care for your animal by asking questions up front before I even step foot in your home. Communication is key. We've had a long-term house and dog sitter who recently relocated away from town, so our dogs had never had the experience of staying away from home without us before. We were a little concerned about how that would go, but right from the start we were reassured by Michelle's friendliness, her evident dog smarts, and her long experience with (sometimes challenging) pups. Before and throughout the boarding process, communication was just right -- clear and relevant, frequent enough to be reassuring but not at all excessive. About: My first job was as a kennel attendant at a local vet clinic where I learned a lot about animal care. I have also worked at a boarding facility. Since working there, I have started my own pet sitting service called “Bodens Buddies”. I started this service for a number of reasons; one, to give my dog Boden unique social opportunities, and two, because I believe pets thrive in a home setting even if it’s not their home. I am currently working part time as I continue my college studies, so I have plenty of time to commit to your pet(s)! My schedule is flexible! I have a fenced in yard and a friendly dog of my own. I also have two cats who can be spaced in another area if needed.
