I know cats hate new people, & I'm perfectly fine to bribe them with treats or simply feed & water them. About: Hi, I'm Irene :)! I'm an all around animal lover, but especially dogs. I have a husky named Nova, so I have experience caring for and understanding dogs and cats of different personalities (huskies are part cat too, right?). I love spending time with them, playing, going for a walks, hikes, runs and making sure they're happy and safe. Although I enjoy activity daily, I also can handle the needs and care for lower energy/senior dogs. I'm responsible, punctual, and just enjoy being around animals. About: I've been an animal person my whole life; from originally wanting to be a vet (decided to pivot due to the sadness that probably comes from being a vet) to caring for pets of my own. I've always felt I've been able to understand animals better than most people. I think it stems from my ability to innately understand their non-verbal communication. Hence, the Dolittle reference. A typical day in my home is calm, comfortable, and centered around the pet’s normal routine. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8, and I’ve walked a lot of my neighbors dogs for money. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats overnight, and I’ve helped train my neighbors dogs. I work part time and have a workout schedule so I take them out early in the morning, late in the morning, afternoon, evening, and before bed. About: I currently have 2 dogs of my own that I’ve had since puppies, so I understand both the fun and responsibility that come with caring for pets. I’m especially comfortable with medium and large dogs, young and energetic dogs, and dogs who need a little patience while they get comfortable with a new person. I have experience with everything from puppy energy and leash manners to post-surgery care. I know that every dog has their own quirks, preferences, and rules, and I’m happy to follow your instructions closely rather than assuming what works for my dogs will work for yours. I’m also a physician assistant; being dependable, detail-oriented, observant, and calm in unexpected situations comes naturally to me. While my medical background is human rather than veterinary, I’m comfortable following detailed medication or care instructions and paying attention to changes in behavior or condition that may need to be brought to an owner’s attention. I want your dog to get the exercise, attention, affection, and consistency they’re used to while you’re away. About: I love animals and have always had a pet in my home. I have pet-sat for neighbors and friends for many years and am good at following instructions and a schedule. I am happy to abide by your training techniques and will ensure your pet is enjoying our time together. I work full-time but have mid-week days off, so I am happy to hang with your pets while you are off at work or away! I can come by on my way to/from work as well. I will respect your space and privacy while working with your pets. I will never leave you with a mess and will work with you to develop a plan.

About: *Please note that for doggy day care, an extra fee of $15 may be requested if this stay is over 9 hours. I've had multiple dogs throughout my life and genuinely love spending time with them. These days, I have a dog of my own plus my partner's two dogs, (we all live here) so our house is always full of happy pups! My experience includes: • Experienced Rover doggy daycare provider • Experienced dog sitter outside of Rover • Raised in a hobby farm in WI • Caring for diabetic dogs that require strict feeding schedules and medication administration • Following detailed care instructions, dietary restrictions, and medication routines with great attention to detail My own dog has taught me a lot about allergies, sensitivities, and special care needs, so I understand how important it is to trust someone who will take your pet's unique requirements seriously. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, senior, or has special needs, I'll make sure they receive attentive, loving care and are treated like part of the family. I work from home and have a fully (high) fenced backyard. I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet with someone else, and I'll treat your dog with the same care, attention, and affection that I give my own. Please know that I live with my partner (who loves animals more than anyone I’ve ever met) and if I have an appointment or errand during drop off, he helps to stay back and do the hand off. If that’s not okay, let me know and I will make it work! -I work remotely Monday-Friday from 7-3:30 -I do tend to stay busy out of the house after 5pm for errands or a gym class a few times a week but no day is the same -Typically in the mountains one day out of the weekend I can be decently flexible during the week but I might NOT be the best fit if: -I can’t leave your dog at my house for 1.5 hours after work if I go to the gym or run an errand -If you need care past 8:00pm because that’s typically my bedtime… but I can be flexible. -Your dog doesn’t get along well with others …Otherwise, let’s do this! Other: -I live in the Roosevelt neighborhood in Bellingham -I will definitely send frequent updates and fun photos of your pet child while on pet duty -I am flexible so most things aren't a no but please reach out with questions about availability and I always do my best to respond ASAP House Fully fenced yard front and back 3 dogs live here My partner lives here too and we both are beyond careful with the dogs’ safety. We will love your dog like we love our 3 and yes, the gate is always secured :)
