“This was our first time using Rover. We had someone set to take care of our cats for a week but a day before leaving on our trip they were admitted into the hospital and we weren’t sure for how long. I reached out to Leslie because I needed an emergency backup and thankfully she was available. We met up and went over everything the cats needed but it wasn’t until we landed in Seattle did we find out for sure that our first planned person was staying in the hospital even longer. Being thousands of miles away and having plans change like that was pretty stressful but Leslie was very understanding and professional! She stepped in and visited them twice a day, giving medicine to our kitten daily, feeding them, and hanging out and playing with them. Stormy, our kitten, loved having someone to play with while we were away and our older, usually standoffish cat Chloe even came out to see her and rubbed on her leg! She really made this potentially stressful trip into a perfectly care-free one because I knew the cats were well taken care of in her hands. Getting the pictures each day of the cats playing was really great, too! We will definitely be using Leslie in the future!”

“I don’t know if you’re able to review a person more than once. But I had Andrhu coming for drop in visits during my long work hours because he lives just a few blocks away. I noticed my cat who is 15 took to him right away and he paid attention to my very *particular* requests about her care. Not only did I have a significant increase in my cats level of calmness - but literally at the LAST minute I saw that the sitter I use when I’m out of town had left my cat alone for almost 24 hours. Then pushed he out of bed when the cat tried to ask for minimal attention. To say I was crushed was an understatement. I was in complete tears. I have a lot going on and am kind of a single pet parent until my husband can join me in the USA. Andrhu AGAIN was a god send. One one days notice I let the other sitter go home for personal reasons and Andrhu agreed to stay - he was with her most all day every day. I came home today, my cat happy, playing with a ball at 15 years old. And now I am comfortable purchasing a kitten to make her (and I) even happier. Knowing I have Andrhu close by - he’s SO flexible. He’s honest and communicates expectations clearly which I appreciate and respect. The amount of guilt I carry about leaving her is at a zero. Down from about 200 on my last vacation. And now with our new addition coming - I consider Andrhu to be part of my cat tribe to make sure they’re all ok. I don’t want him to get completely booked (selfishly). But this is the relationship I needed for my sweet girl until my husband is allowed to live here - and for every vacation after. I highly recommend treating him with utmost respect. I have a guest set of linens, towels and hope Andrhu will help himself to anything food or drink in my home. At this point my home is him home and even if we haven’t met he is cat-family. Hire him whenever you can. The compassion he shows to even old pets it unmatched. I’m almost crying tears of joy from having my anxiety so much reduced in this difficult time in my life.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs almost every week on the weekends along with sitting for my neighborhood dogs, cats, birds and guinea pigs while they are on vacation or away from their home. I am comfortable feeding dogs, interacting with them and I love to give lots of love. I am familiar with giving medication’s to dogs if needed. Your animal will be in good hands as I will love them as my own. Whatever an owner needs for them and their dogs to be well cared for, I can accommodate. I work from home, so the dog will always be accompanied with me. we’ll have plenty of playtime, outside time and potty breaks. I provide at least 2 walks a day and several Potty breaks from 7 am up until 10 Pm. I have a fenced yard where they can play as they like and they can hang out inside as well. I am very interactive with the dogs and love to send pictures.

“I had to book Marilyn last minute at 7am—literally as I was leaving for my hike because my previously scheduled Rover failed to meet me. She quickly took my dog in and watched that she didn't exercise much (she just had surgery). I know that Marilyn watched her because with the other Rover, my dog would come back limping indicating to me that she was exercising too much. With Marilyn, she did not limp after picking her up. Unless of course it's just to hot to be out side. Rainy days are our lazy days or indoor activity days. Lots of cuddles and loves. My personal fur babies are not kenneled but I do have kennels for ones who prefer it. It's whatever makes them happiest. Or feel the safest. I'm a pretty good judge of character when it comes to fur babies. We read one another very well. Which in turn makes us more comfy with one another. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with one ever.i know when to back off or come in for loves. Mutal respect is the best policy I feel.

I am a skilled in providing attentive care during extended periods, administering medications accurately, and monitoring animal health and well-being to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. I have worked with animals my whole life from riding horses at a very young age as well as always growing up with cats and dogs of my own. My past job was a barn assistant position for 8 years. I am currently home from college for the summer so I will have plenty of time to focus on your animals! I am free any day of the week at any time for dog walking as well as very open to schedule pet sitting. I have one dog and one cat at home that get lots of love and attention! I value healthy diet and exercise for my animals daily.

About: I love spending time with dogs of all kinds. My family dog passed away of old age (13 years) last year so I love the thought of spending time with other people’s dogs and giving them love when their families can’t be there. I currently have a golden doodle named Loki (2 years old) who lives with my friend and have taught him to sit, shake, lay down, and whisper bark! I am currently a graduate student studying speech language pathology at the University of Washington. All funds that I make through Rover go towards paying my tuition. I can dog sit anytime that is available on my calendar :) I make sure to provide lots of pictures and updates for the parents. In case anything is out of the ordinary, I always make sure to have vet information before the families leave.

I also pay close attention to each pet's behavior and well-being. If I notice any new, unusual, or concerning behaviors, I will contact the pet parent right away so they can stay informed and involved in their pet's care. I know how important it is to know your pet is doing well while you're away, so I'm always happy to provide regular photo updates and written check-ins.
