“Although my 6-year-old miniature dachshund, Piper, has stayed with friends/family before, this was my first time using a professional service like Rover and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Maria was exceptionally responsive and flexible with timing. She sent plenty of photos/videos/updates during our short weekend trip that truly set our minds at ease. Piper has cerebellar hypoplasia (the wobbly disease) and has trouble with fine motor skills. Maria had no issue altering her care to suit Piper's limitations. She even took Piper out to a cafe in a stroller for enrichment since she physically can't walk far on her own! Considering my partner has experience petsitting for over two decades and I worry (perhaps too much) about the care my dog will receive while I'm away, we were both impressed with Maria and would gladly hire her again to take care of Piper.”

About: When I was just a little kid a big parrot flew into our house, and I kept it as a pet from the age of 6 to 18. Then when I went off to college my parents took care of it. After college I helped take care of my sister’s dogs. And I lived with a girl for a while who owned two cats that I took care of so I have lots of experience with different animals. I even used to own a guinea pig at one point in my life. So my entire life has revolved around taking care of pets. So I figured this would be a great job for me. I’m extremely loving and caring and will treat your pets just like I would mind. I’m a very loving and caring person. I currently am unemployed. I’m looking for a job, but as of right now, my schedule is fully open. So please hit me up whenever I need the money. Well, besides the basics like feeding them and making sure they’re going to the bathroom and drinking water, I always play with them. Show them attention when they want attention and don’t show them attention when they don’t want attention. I’m pretty good at reading body language of an animal. I love playing with dogs and cats. About: Experienced Care for Your Pup :-) I’ve spent more than 15 years working with and training horses and dogs, including raising and training my own dogs from puppyhood. Over the years, I’ve developed a calm, structured, and relationship-based approach that helps animals feel safe, understood, and comfortable in my care. About: I’m a huge animal lover and have been taking care of them my whole life. I grew up around farm animals, with 3 big dogs and now have two cats of my own, who I treat as my children! My ultimate dream in life is to live on a farm with lots of land and adopt all the animals who need a home! I just moved to North Seattle and am new to Rover, but I have many years of pet care experience and was a regular sitter of several dogs and cats where I used to live. One of my clients even had two spotted geckos who I helped take care of while they were gone! They ate live crickets which were interesting to handle and fun to watch when they devoured them! I work six days a week, but they are shorter shifts, only about 25 minutes from home. I am able to provide walks and lots of love throughout the day before I leave for work, and after! We also have a backyard with a deck and an area for them to potty. We like to hang outside a lot in the summer and have some toys that they can play with. I am also happy to administer medications if need be. My cats are older and get meds every other day! Sometimes there is just one dog at the house and sometimes there are five all at once and it’s pretty great! Your animals will be well taken care of because I will also treat them as my own. I am also happy to stay at your house if need be! I also work as a gymnastics coach but mostly during the early evening and night time, typically about 3:30-9:00 most days, I’m off on Sundays. I have the mornings and early afternoons to do what I want. We have a fenced in yard and 3 cats in the house. There are gates to each set of stairs to block them off if needed. We also have space for a crate in the house.

Matthew provided updates multiple times a day, with photos and videos - he also has a backyard and the girls got to sleep in bed too! Our dogs didn’t want to leave !! Couldn’t recommend more.”
