I love getting to know each pet, what their needs are, and how to best meet those needs while I care for them. If tons of love and snuggles are required I’m happy to oblige, but I also understand the different boundaries of each individual animal and how to navigate them to earn trust. My dog Pongo gets 4-5 walks per day, some are sniff walks for mental exercise, and others are to throw a stick in the woods for him to let some energy out.

Because I work with rescued animals, I’m also very intentional about maintaining your pet’s routine to minimize any anxiety while you’re away. When we’re out, I’m hyper-vigilant about leash safety and harness checks. If your dog is a flight risk or just easily spooked, I have the experience to keep them focused, happy, and secure. About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my entire life, and caring for them has always been part of my everyday world. From a young age, my life has revolved around animals and helping them become the best versions of themselves. Some of my earliest experiences were with cats, including a feral rescue named Misty I bonded with closely as a child. I tend to connect well with animals that are more troubled, reactive, or unsure, and I’m often able to bring out their calmer, more trusting side. Later on in my life, my experience expanded significantly through raising and caring for Golden Retrievers. Growing up around breeding and long-term dog care taught me responsibility, consistency, and how much attention animals need at different stages of life. I’ve been involved in raising dogs from newborns to adulthood, and many of the dogs I’ve helped raise have gone on to become unforgettable adventure companions for their families. Over the past fifteen years, I’ve gained extensive experience working with animals through long-term, hands-on care. My background as a Golden Retriever breeder has given me perspective on how different animals can be, even within the same breed. Every animal has unique preferences, behaviors, and ways of communicating, and learning to recognize those differences has been a major part of my experience. I’m comfortable managing multiple animals at once and handling a range of needs without becoming overwhelmed. I’m most accustomed to larger dogs, but my experience raising puppies has given me the delicacy and awareness needed to care for smaller animals as well. I’m especially familiar with puppies under six months old, including their unpredictable behavior and the extra attention they require. I’ve also worked with dogs that can be semi-reactive in certain situations. While I’m not willing to take on dogs that are broadly aggressive, I retain the right to assess the dog before accepting. I’m most comfortable with working with dogs that are borderline reactive but not reactive-aggressive. I can recognize signs of stress or reactivity, and can manage dogs that are generally well-functioning but may need thoughtful handling in specific situations. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available for drop-ins and walks throughout the day, generally between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, unless I’m staying at a client’s home for house sitting. Animal care already shapes my daily routine, and I’m used to structuring my day around feeding schedules, exercise, outdoor exposure, and rest. I’m comfortable juggling different routines and planning time and resources around an animal’s specific needs. I’m very conscientious about safety and environmental risks. I pay close attention to doors, gates, toxic plants, household hazards, interactions with unfamiliar animals, and changes in an animal’s behavior. I rely on observation and experience to distinguish between normal behavior and something that may need attention. If something seems off, I communicate clearly and directly, providing context and details without being alarmist. I also enjoy sharing updates and photos so owners feel informed and connected while they’re away. About: Im the go to person for pet sitting in my family, I grew up with dogs and currently have two kitties. I love hikes and would love to have the company of your dog with me! 🖤 I am a fulltime artist, so I have a pretty flexible schedule I am able to work around. I am available for daily or weekly walks and occasional house sitting. Care in my home: Always access to clean water and having multiple water locations, my cats have scheduled breakfast and dinner aswell. A clean litter box and fun toys, proper scratching trees are very important for a healthy and happy kitty. Alot of this applies to dogs aswell! Clean water, scheduled food and bathroom breaks throughout the day aswell as exercise.

About: I grew up with many dogs, my family bred dogs so I am very comfortable with puppies and animals that are not yet potty trained. I also have experience caring for sick dogs and dogs that need special care. I’m a college student home for the summer, looking to help out around my community and watch after your animals! I love walking dogs and can always come and check on your pets when needed. While I can’t host any pets in my home, I feel comfortable servicing anyones pet in their own home. Making sure to give them water, treats, toys or food.

About: I have taken care of all types of animals since I was very small. I have experience with all types of barn yard animals, rodents, geckos, cats, dogs, fish, bugs, I’ve seen and taken care of it all. I have had many dogs and cats of all different sizes, temperaments, and breeds and just love anything to do with them. I am very experienced in all ages of care from young to senior and love to dote on any animal I meet. I am currently home for the summer from college, have no other job, and only need to leave the house to take care of my animals and complete my fitness plan for my college athletics in the fall. I will not need to be out of the house for more than 3 hours at a time so I can tend to the animals as much or as little as needed. :) I make sure to stick to whatever routine is set for the animals to the best of my ability as it is very important for their well being. I love to give ample amount of attention to animals that would like it, and plenty of space to those who don’t.
About: I grew up with dogs—especially big ones—and have always loved being active with them. I enjoy going on walks, runs, and spending down time with them as well. I’ve cared for my neighbors’ dogs and regularly walk dogs around San Diego while I’m in school. I'm usually home throughout the day, which means I have plenty of time to spend with dogs—whether it's playing, walking, or simply keeping them company. I typically head out for a workout in the late morning, but otherwise, my days are calm and flexible. I’m only available over the summer, from June through the beginning of August. I keep dogs active with runs and walks, then spend downtime relaxing with them, playing, or just hanging out to make sure they stay happy and comfortable.
About: I have always been an extreme dog lover…growing up I volunteered through various adoption agencies and duties included fostering dogs, helping with walks, and lots of playing and entertaining. I have two absolutely insane pups, so no dog will be too much energy to handle. My partner and I are very active and love bringing our pups along on all of our adventures, and I would love to do the same for your pup, if they like the outdoors. If not, I'm just as happy snuggling up and providing lots of love and attention when you're away. I unfortunately cannot sit inside my home because my one pup, Kona, doesn't always get along with other dogs, but walks, drop-ins and house sitting are definitely something I can do! I'm very flexible when it comes to what you might need, so I can make most accommodations without issue! I'm very excited to take care of your pup while you're out, and I always send pics/updates (if you'd like), because I know I love when a sitter does that for me! Fit in care around work schedule, try to accommodate what your needs are. Depending on the season, my availability changes but I’ll always be upfront about that. About: I was raised on a small ranch in Central Oregon. My mom raised corgis Australian shepherds and standard poodles. We had horses and I raised pigs and chickens. After high school I got married to my husband who is in the Navy and we travel around to different duty stations about every three years For the past 13 years we’ve had a Pomeranian named Daisy and a Chihuahua named Jocko who recently passed. I love all sorts of animals and I’ve taken care of a wide variety of them. I currently am a stay at home dog mom so I have all the time to care your your pets. I have one very low maintenance Pomeranian who gets along with most other well behaved pets. I Worked at a doggy daycare and learned different aspects of keeping dogs safe and well cared for. From socialization to medication administration I have done and been around a wide variety of situations.

“Annette and James took great care of my mini american shepherd (Koda). Was back east for 12 nights. Annette was gracious in hosting a pre-visit to allow Koda an opportunity to get to know her, James, Sailor and Isla with me present. Koda sensed and respected Annette's gentle yet firm command. The old pasture fenced and secure with beautiful grass is a great outdoor playground that enjoyed exploring and playing with his new friends. Annette was very attentive to Koda'a needs throughout his stay and kept updated with pictures of their daily pack walks (when not raining) as well as Koda interactions with Sailor, Isla and some of her toys including smart treat toys. I have had quite a few Rover stays over the past five years and Annette and her family was by far the best stay. I am quite sure Koda was missing them after 12 nights. I would be amiss if I did not mention Annette going above and beyond. The night of drop off, I also had a memorial service to get to by 6pm. To assure I made she took the Kingston ferry over to Edmonds to pick up Koda. I was sure that I would just have to miss memorial, she assured I made it in plenty of time. Kingston may be a bit out of the way, but we'll worth the drive from Renton, WA., I had a gut feel on what to expect. Annette far exceeded my expectations.”
