Personalized care for your dog or cat - Marietta-Alderwood

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Marietta-Alderwood

“Sadly for every other dog she cares for, they will be fight for 2nd place because Emilia absolutely loves my golden Gus. In 3 days she sent me 25 pics/videos of the fun they were having. She was sad when I picked up early. I'm sure she'll take amazing care of your dog also. (even though Gus is her fav)”

“Trinity did a great job of looking after our senior blind/diabetic dog. Kept us informed on how she was doing. She had no problems with her special feeding schedule and giving her the insulin injection.”

“Kris and her family took great care of our Romy and Tilly. Tilly has lots of medical/health needs and she came back refreshed and well fed. Romy is a sweet boy but was having some behavioral issues and they took care of all of it and offered some suggestions for us to help!”

“Lenore was absolutely fantastic—better than I could’ve hoped for, especially since it was a last-minute booking for 3 nights! She went above and beyond with our dog: videos, photos, long walks, feeding him special food since he wasn’t feeling his best, and just taking really good care of him. What stood out to me was how much time she genuinely spent with our dog. You can tell when someone’s just going through the motions, but not Lenore. She was present, communicative, and you could feel that she really cared. Her own dog—a 2-year-old lab-shepherd mix—played so well with ours. They got along like old pals, which was a huge relief during their time together. I’d trust Lenore again in a heartbeat.”

“Shannon was GREAT! She was kind, and great communication. Took great care of our dog. She sent so many pics and updates. You can tell she’s a huge dog lover, our dog was immediately attached to her. Will definitely ask her to watch our doggo again, thanks shannon 😀”
“Sophia did a wonderful job of looking after my pup! Received solid updates while I was away, including great photos. This was my first time leaving my dog behind for a couple of days so I'm grateful I was able to find a great sitter. Thank you!”

“I have to be honest, I was hesitant to leave my two best friends with a complete stranger. Addison didn’t feel like a stranger within 5 seconds of meeting him in person. Him and his family took such great care of my boys, and put my mind completely at ease while I was out of town for Christmas. Daily pictures and check-ins were sent to me unprompted, which I could not have been more appreciative of. Rover, I’m not sure if you read these reviews, but you have a gem in your hands with Addison. I will 100% be using Addison’s services in the future. Great guy, great family, and a great disposition around dogs.”

“Susan is fabulous! We feel very comfortable leaving our dog with her. She's quick to communicate and does a great job caring for specific needs, including slightly anxious little doggies like mine.”

“This was Rudy’s first time away from home, so I was very nervous about how she would do. Leslie accommodated us last minute when our other plans fell through, and was so lovely to us and to Rudy! It was nice to know she was somewhere where she was safe, happy, and well-cared for. Thank you, Leslie!!”

“My honey and I have been using Ms. Dollys services to watch our two naughty 75 pound plus babies for a few months now. I think we have boarded our dogs a total 4 times with her. She’s always super accommodating and willing for emergency stay overs if your 4 hour drive from Oregon turns into 8 hours (life saver). Ms. Dolly handles my helicopter dog mom ways and assures me “ I got this” ( she really does) Our babies LOVE Ms. Dolly and even know her by name. They get some serious zooms when we leash up by the door and mention dolly town. Upon first arriving a few months ago I was so happy to see she has a full on kennel set up, rubber washable mats, large and heated areas to run and play on icky days. Toys, leashes you name it. We even forgot our food one time, no worries dolly had a back up that matched the very specific sweet potato and salmon diet we had going. It’s like having a family member watch your dogs but the family member is also super professional and also operates a full puppy bizniz. Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out a secondary form, shots, vet, food routine, emergency contact ect. Ms. dolly is seriously a pro. Drop off is always super emotional for us but Ms. Dolly always sends pics and videos. It seems like she hangs out with our dogs all day by how much play time they actually get. They even did a bonfire and hung out with our pups the way we would do in our backyard. Your dogs are family and it shows. Ms. Dolly has a full backyard where your dogs can run and play and party all night if they wanted. This is a serious plus for our very energetic pitbull and spaz German Sheppard. I would never choose another boarder. Thank you Ms. Dolly, we love you! - Brandon, Katy, Ghost and Ranger.”

“This was Nikkis first time away from home with a sitter. Kendra was very patient and did a great job. Followed all my instructions very efficient. Nikki was a little challenge since she never stayed at another persons home Kendra handeled it well. Everything worked out great and I will certainly book with Kendra again.”

“My dog Oly is a sketchy dog but she was happy under Chelsea's care. She had some playmate, it felt like I was dropping my child off at the daycare. Ready to play! Chelsea clipped Oly's nail for me too. Thanks for the extra attention.”

“Bailey had a great time with her new friends. She was kept active and comforted when she was fussy ( new place syndrome 😁) She has a new buddy in Ollie and I couldn't be happier for her care! We'll be back!”

“Leslie provided an excellent boarding experience for our Frenchie, Kahi. My husband and I are always nervous to leave Kahi, but this time we felt more at ease knowing she was in great hands with Leslie. Leslie welcomed Kahi into her home and was knowledgable of what Kahi needed to feel safe and comfortable. She was diligent to provide daily updates and pictures. The pictures showed that Kahi was well-adjusted to Leslie’s home and having a great time playing and bonding with Leslie’s pups. We trusted Kahi was safe with Leslie which allowed us to enjoy our vacation. 10/10 would recommend!”

“I had a fantastic experience with Shalaine who accommodated my last-minute request. She was incredibly flexible and took excellent care of my dog, providing regular updates and photos. My pup was happy and well-loved during their stay. Highly recommend this sitter for anyone needing reliable pet care! 🐾❤️”
“Elaine took great care of our yoda. I got updates and pictures every couple of days. Elaine is very responsive and also assisted in potty training our yoda. Thank you Elaine & Husband.”

“Lizz was a wonderful cat sitter on our recent week long trip. You can tell that she gets along great with cats, and our three cats were all well taken care of and snuggly when we returned home. Lizz was very communicative and sent nice updates each day with pictures. ❤️”

“This is the first time I've used Rover and was happy to have Emily as our three cats' sitter! She did a great job caring for them - following the instructions I left and going above and beyond when our older kitty became finicky with her food. I appreciated receiving daily pictures of the kitties and a comment from Emily. It helped me to know the kitties were being well taken care of. I like Emily's attention to detail, too. When I arrived home, the kitties appeared happy and relaxed. I plan to reach out to Emily for future pet-sitting.”

“Azure is knowledgeable about Guinea Pigs. She responds quickly and gives detailed updates after each visit. I genuinely feel my girls are in good hands with her which is saying a lot because I don’t trust many people with my pigs.”

“Camille was very sweet and caring to my cat! She really cared about the specific routine we have and sticking to the instructions and tips I left. She left detailed notes through the app and lots of adorable pictures. It was good to know my cat was comfortable with her and enjoyed having someone there to care for her while I was gone.”

“Alena was so sweet with my pup Mochi! She gave her lots of love and attention, made sure she was well exercised, and even worked on the current commands we are teaching. Alena is punctual, safe, and communicative. She is the best dog walker and sitter around!”

About: I have had many years of working with multiple cats at once as well as cats with medication needs! I am very comfortable with high maintenance animals, and know that cats especially can be very particular. I have cared for cats that need litter cleaned daily because there are so many of them, as well as cats who need litter cleaned immediately after use so they dont go elsewhere in the house. Whatever your pets needs, Ill be there to take care of it.

About: I grew up with owning cats from the age of 10 until 25 and have been surrounded by them most of my life! Love to play with them and snuggle with them if they allow me to!
“I've hired Lia multiple times and I am continuously impressed with her care for my 18-year old cat. Lia is prompt, communicable and detailed with her daily reports and photos. I would not hesitate to hire her!”

“Jada was a really great cat sitter. She was very detailed, provided daily updates on my kittens and was very caring to their well being and making sure they were comfortable. Highly recommended.”

“Arianna helped look after our cat, Wayne, for about a week on a pretty last minute request and we are so grateful! She did a great job, and was super communicative. We would definitely recommend her for petsitting!”

“Jewel was excellent. Her communication was great and she always sent plenty of pictures. She went above and beyond to take good care of our kitty while we were gone. Would highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again!”

About: While I love all animals, cats hold a special place in my heart. I begged for a kitten when I was 8, praying that my parents would let me take home one from my friend’s barn cat litter. These are some of my clearest and most treasured childhood memories. Skittles was my best friend and I spent hours getting to know her as an individual. I learned to be very sensitive to cat communication as a child and I respect the patience and time it takes to gain the trust of those with shy or aggressive personalities. Cats are endlessly fascinating creatures and each one is a unique individual just like people. One of my first moves as an adult was to adopt a 5yr old rescue tuxedo named Pickles. I wanted to add to the family, but she had other plans and was destined to be an only child. I quickly referred to her as my “first born.” We worked through so many cat care challenges with her over the years and I can now confidently do everything from providing a nail trim without getting scratched to administering challenging medical treatments including injections and enemas. I now foster kittens from a local rescue during kitten season, and we adopted 3 of them along with a rescue pup last summer. I want to adopt them all, but I’ll have to settle for fostering, cat sitting for others and the occasional afternoon at a cat cafe!

“Michael took excellent care of my home and two cats while I was out of town. He is communicative, reliable, and easy going. Wonderful resource for folks with pets in Sudden Valley!”

About: I have taken care of many cats for multiple years. I was responsible for feedings, giving medication, cleaning up after them, and more. I have two cats of my own who I view as my children.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Marietta-Alderwood
“My dog had a wonderful time with Addison! He was friendly and communicative during pickup, drop off, and during care. When I picked up I could tell Puck had a wonderful time and Addison shared fun stories about his day. I'm planning to use him as a regular sitter for my pup!”

“Kris is so wonderful! I had a very last minute change of plans and she was able to host my pup the next morning. 3 acres of fenced yard is just heaven for dogs and I felt so comfortable leaving my pup there! Their little Rosie and my pup Freyja played so much and I got to take home a veryyyyyy exhausted puppy after a long day of work. I will DEFINITELY be going back.”

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life, and I am a responsible cat owner. I work at home and will be available to give your pet the care they deserve :) I work from home, so I am very flexible. I can come to your place, your pet can be housed at mine, or I can come walk your dog at odd hours of the day. I have a 2-bedroom apartment to myself, and I currently have a sweet cat named Trufflepig who is 3 and gets along with both dogs and cats. She can easily be separated if your pup or kitty doesn’t like other animals. I live in a neighborhood that is very dog friendly with a park close by and a fenced in yard a block away where your dog can run.

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was a kid, and to this day, I'm the go-to pet sitter in my family. I have a small dog who’s 4 years old and is very friendly with other dogs, cats, kids, and more. I’ve had him since he was a puppy and personally potty trained him, so I have plenty of experience with puppies. While I haven’t personally cared for a senior dog yet I have lots of free time and am confident I can give any senior dog with the care he or she needs. I'm currently doing some online classes, and I'm unemployed because I'm new to the Bellingham area so I have a bunch of free time to spend with your dogs. I live in an apartment so | don't have a yard for your pup to play in but I'll take your dog on walks very often and I personally take my dog to the dog park very regularly and would love to take yours too if you'd like.
“Kendra was amazing! She is very kind and loving with pets. I received pictures of Princess throughout the day and Princess looked so happy! If you live in the Palm Springs area, or are visiting (like I was), and need someone to look after your fur babies, I would 100% recommend her. ❤️ Thank you, Kendra!”

“I had a fantastic experience with Alex as Rune’s dog sitter. Rune had a great time playing with her dogs, and she has a lovely space that’s perfect for hosting. Alex was extremely responsive, communicative, and took great photos throughout. Overall, I felt very reassured and happy having Rune stay with her.”

“Holly and her family took such great care of our dog, Dottie. I couldn't be happier with the process - from the first message to the meet & greet to the doggy day care date. Communication was clear and easy, and I felt that safety and care were well prioritized. Having that reassurance that your dog is in good hands is honestly priceless. The fact she had a great time with Archie is the cherry on top. Dottie is already passed out sleeping (on the couch - sorry!) from all the fun she had. Will definitely book again. Also thank you for all the photos during the visit! They were very comforting for this anxious dog mom.”

“Annie was super responsive when we were searching for a dog sitter for the day and made herself available at the very last minute. Our dog seemed to have a great time and was exhausted and happy when we picked him up in the evening.”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats, and have been a pet parent throughout adulthood. I have a deep love and affection for animals, and often look after the pets of family and friends as their trusted caretaker. I call myself a "whisperer" because I feel I've always known how to 'communicate' with domesticated animals and earn their trust. I'm an adjunct instructor at WWU with enough flexibility in my schedule to be available for pet care most of the time. As I considered alternative work for myself, I thought I should consider what I love to do, and pet sitting/dog walking feels like a great fit for me. I currently have a 2 year old female rescue dog who I'm 90% sure is a puggle, and 2 beautiful male cats. Traditionally I've owned boxers, but I love both big and small dogs of all kinds, puppies to seniors, as well as cats and most other pets (perhaps not insects...!). I'm reliable, friendly, patient, and love to walk, so frequent or long dog walks suit me fine. I have a flexible schedule and am available to look after your fur babies day and/or night, including day care, drop ins, boarding and house sitting. I have a pet-friendly home with a fenced yard in a safe neighborhood with parks and trails close by. I'm home much of the time so my pets get a lot of attention and care, are fed on schedule, and I'm up to date on all vaccinations. My home is clean, cozy and safe.
“My pup has the best day with Jennifer at her lovely home. He got to play with her dogs, zoom in her huge back yard, and had a wonderful time. Jennifer sent us great pics of him having a blast while he was there. All around great experience for us and we hope our pup gets to come play for the day again soon!”

“Im so thankful I found Luz, shes fantastic and I knew my lil pup was in good hands. Im so leary of people watching my animals but I went with my instinct. I highly recommend Luz if your needing a sitter. It was nice meeting her hubby and dog as well!!”

“Li is a dog trainer, and his entire backyard is set up for dogs. Joey returned calm and happy, and he even had a treadmill walk! What a great place 100% recommend and will return. Thank you Li.”

“Good service , good communication , I took my little boy to Shawn place , it was is first time to stay away from us and when we came back to pick him up he was happy . Thanks for the great service you gave to Flocky :) .”

“Rachel and her family took amazing care of our pup when we had a last minute out-of-town trip. Rachel sent us photo updates and we knew he was having the time of his life, with tons of exercise and love. Milo will definitely visit again!”

About: Training my two aussie shepherd girls is a passion of mine, we herd sheep a couple times a week. I am proud to say I can keep up with them, although raising an aussie puppy is not for the faint of heart! They deserve adventures so I take them to new places with new smells and I would be happy to help your pup experience the world in a new way too! If you're not comfortable with that, they are safe in my home too 💚 Pet care is a full-time job and I treat it as such. Fur babies in my home get enrichment via toys, puzzles, treats and exercise- happy to train your doggo under 90lbs to use our treadmill! We go out to herd a few times a week and get outdoors every day, rain or shine :) My pets are my family. They deserve to be safe, healthy, and comfortable. I understand that it is a deep honor to afford them the freedom and attention they deserve and I dont take the responsibility lightly.
“Kruti took great care of Choco. Choco felt very comfortable with her. She sent pictures of Choco from time-to-time, took him for walks, and also asked us about care instructions prior our visit. Choco has severe separation anxiety, and Kruti stayed along with Choco all the time. We will book another visit with her for sure in the future.”

“We were very impressed with Emily's excellent communication. Shackleton had a wonderful time with her and she was fanatic at managing a large and opinionated doggo! We highly recommend Emily for dog walking and will definitely request her in the future when we need a walker.”

“Audrey looks out for the details when caring for our dogs. Amid freezing weather, we forgot to leave out the dog’s winter jackets, but she knew where they were in the garage and added them for the walk.”

“Lizz saved the day for us! We had a family emergency come up and had to leave town last minute. Lizz was able to cover all the walks in our absence. She gave us great feedback and won over our shy pup. Highly recommend.”

“Camille was responsive in communication, arrived promptly, flexible with times when needed, and Sassa loved walking with her. I'm very grateful for her support in caring for my dog.”

About: Hello! I am lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for both cats and dogs. I grew up with multiple cats and currently have my own very loved + spoiled cat at home! I regularly dog walk and pet sit for my fellow nursing coworkers. This includes walks, some overnight visits, feeding, playtime, and lots of cuddles! Animals truly bring me joy, and I'll care for your pets like they're my own :) I currently work full time at the hospital but start at 11am and end at 730pm. I am happy to swing by in the mornings and after work! I also have every Wednesday, Thursday, and every other weekend off. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will always respect your pets routine, boundaries, and do whatever they need to help them feel safe and happy while you are away! I am happy to provide walks, drop in visits, or overnight stays. While I am unable to host pets in my own home because of my cat, I am very comfortable caring for your pets in their environment where they can feel the most comfortable and safe!
“Keegan was great with our dog! We have a one year old golden retriever who can be high energy and gets very excited with new people. Keegan did great on walks with him - you can tell she loves animals. We’d happily have her walk/watch him again!”

“Great to meet Katarina and have us meet our pups! Looking forward to having her hang out with the dogs for a night soon! She was so helpful last minute, thoughtful, and asked all the right questions!”

“Lindsay clearly has a lot of experience, and always shows up on time and super professional. She has been flexible and understanding with Osos leash reactivity, as well as walking on fairly short notice. Definitely recommend her for anyone, especially if your dog needs special accommodations.”

“Kallie is the best. My dogs love it when she comes to walk them. Kallie is a great communicator and takes awesome photos. I know my dogs are safe and loved when they are with Kallie.”

“Rebekah is the BEST!!! our baby Maya loves her and gets so excited to see her…even after several months have passed. During the resent storm (Dec 2022) we were out of the country and Rebekah walked through snow and ice to be sure to take Maya on her walk. I can’t recommend anyone more than I do Rebekah. If you need pet care, she is the one!”

About: I have over 5 years of dog walking experience and have been a pet lover my whole life! I look forward to helping your animals thrive and love life even more!! I have a very flexible schedule but between 7:30 am and 7 pm work best for me to watch over and care for your pets! Don’t feel afraid to reach out for scheduling outside of my preferred times though! I have an extremely friendly shepsky who would always love to join me while walking your dog(s) or taking care of your cats and/or dogs but he is 100lbs so I will always ask if that’s conducive with your wants and needs!
About: I have provided care for dogs and cats for over 20+ years. I was the first to volunteer in my youth to "stay home" with the animals. I am thoughtful and reliable and understand the importance of a maintained routine. I approach all visits with patience, care, and professionalism. I communicate clearly with pet parents and adjust my care to match each fur baby's personality. Trust and confidentiality are my priorities. Flexible schedule! I am currently between employment commitments while I assist family members with life changes. I am organized and reliable and can accommodate regular visits as well as short-notice needs. I prioritize maintaining your pet's normal routine to reduce any stress and ensure comfort and safety. I follow care instructions closely and monitor behavior and overall well being. I communicate regularly and provide all requested updates. I treat the client's home with care, professionalism and discretion at all times. I am an active person and enjoy walks/runs.
About: I grew up with having dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rats, birds, fish, and lizards around (many I know lol) I have always been an animal person and as I got older I would pet sit for family friends and roommates very often. When I was in high school I worked at a petting zoo for the summer and I am currently in school studying fish and learning about aquaculture so I have experience with working with live animals (mostly fish lol) in a professional setting and environment. I have a cat of my own who keeps me on my toes and hands full! I also live with some one who has a dog so attention, care, and love is a constant with me. I live a pretty active lifestyle so I will sometimes take my roommates dog for a run or hike if the weather isn't too bad! I always want to make sure that my cat has enough food, water, play, and stimulation. I would also depending on your pet making sure that whatever their needs are to feel safe and cared for are also met.
“Julianna is great! She showed up on time, took pictures, and most of all, Arlo loves her. I could tell by how affectionate he was with her when she dropped him off. I would highly recommend her!”

“Jada was a great communicator and sweet to my Levi. He didn't even bark when first meeting her. He went straight to her and put his head on her leg. He came back ready to rest.”

About: I've had dogs in my life since I was 8 and all my dogs have shown great love towards me because I give them the full love back. I am known in the family as the family caretaker when our dogs get old and need special attention. The reason I take care of my dogs when they get older because I have the patience, attentions, and most of all, love in supporting them through their elderly stage. All pets deserve the best and I am more than happy to provide that! I am currently taking the year off from work to travel the world but in between my trips I have a lot of free time and feel it can be better spent taking care of pets while other people can enjoy trips or another activity that requires them to leave their pet at home. I have a 5-year old Havanese and I take him on walks daily, I make sure he is bathe at least once a month, and try to take him on as many trips so I can, so he can enjoy the world as much I as I do.

About: I’ve always had a big heart for pets. 7 years ago, the opportunity came up for me to rescue a senior dog with a lot of health issues. During my time caring for my senior dog, I’ve had to administer medication, provide at home bath to help him with anxiety, and bond with him through gentle play and massage so he can live comfortably and happily. This year, I was able to welcome a new puppy into my family. I’ve trained him from the ground up and he is now such a gentle and loving puppy who is great around all. While taking care of my own pets, I’ve dog sat for neighbours, friends, and even friends of friends because I often get recommended! I’m a teacher! A perk of being a teacher is that I get a lot of time off. My weekends are free along with all stat holidays. And not to mention spring break and summer!! So, I have a lot of long weekends and off days which allow me to take care of your lovely pet friends. If you have time off and would like to go take a break away from home, I’m here to help! I have one and a half acre of fenced property for your pet to run around in! Not only that, but also a cute and friendly golden retriever friend to keep your pup company. My golden retriever is crated. However, I respect whatever routine you’ve set with your pet! I am happy to crate or not! Just let me know! The pets are also allowed on the furniture if that’s what you’d like. My goal is to have your pet babies feel as comfortable as possible!
“Rachel was so lovely and wonderful with Duke. My kids absolutely loved reading her updates and looking at the pictures she sent! Thank you so much for taking care care of our sweet boy!”

“I want to start by saying that I am not a typical review'er but I am completely blown away with the care that was given to Goose. The amount of physical activity that was provided to Goose and the other dogs that were there was completly mind blowing. I have NEVER left my dog with anyone other then Doggie Day care building up for our trip to be away. Goose came back from her time away COMPLETLY stable and not even a single ounce of stress and she was there for 5 days. We have found our care giver for life!”

“I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful family 💛 I left my dog, Jessy, with them for two nights, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Jessy absolutely loved staying with them. They sent me video updates every hour, showing how she was doing, which gave me so much peace of mind. They constantly kept me informed about what she was eating and how many times a day they went for walks. Their dog, Harris, is an amazing and very friendly dog — Jessy was playing with him all the time and clearly had the best time. Today we picked her up, and I can truly see how happy, calm, and satisfied she is. It’s very clear that she was loved and well taken care of. I truly, from the bottom of my heart, recommend these people and will definitely leave my beloved dog with them again in the future.”

“Kate is wonderful with our senior dog. We love that she often cares for other dogs at the same time so he gets to socialize with a pack. He’s an SPCA rescue and sometimes exhibits major anxiety (whimpering, fear aggression) if he is uncomfortable but we have never seen that behaviour at Kate’s house. We know that between Kate, her family, and the other dogs, he isn’t lonely when we’re away. He’s always happy to go to her when we drop him off. When we pick him up, he is happy to see us but not rushing away either which is a great sign. Thank you Kate!”
