“Best. Boarding. Ever. My dog was SAD when I brought her home. She moped and slept for a whole day, uninterested in anything. She had many dog friends, and even with boarders, the whole pack was incredibly well-socialized and secure, which my young dog really needed to experience. I hated to see my dog sad at home, but I was very glad that she loved her stay so much that she was mourning her new friends. My dog had a wonderful stay and I will be a repeat customer for sure. My dog Pongo is very special to me and I know the pain of leaving him behind when it’s necessary, and also know the joy of finding someone with a big heart to care for him when I’m gone. I spent a year volunteering at West Sound Wildlife which gave me experience tending to wounded animals. I’m well versed in giving animals medications and following strict diets. I work at a local restaurant but my shifts aren’t long, at most I’ll be out of the house for five to six hours. I love getting to know each pet, what their needs are, and how to best meet those needs while I care for them. If tons of love and snuggles are required I’m happy to oblige, but I also understand the different boundaries of each individual animal and how to navigate them to earn trust. My dog Pongo gets 4-5 walks per day, some are sniff walks for mental exercise, and others are to throw a stick in the woods for him to let some energy out.

About: What is a home without a dog? I have always had a dog- or a few dogs. They make life good. I live with my husband and our two teenage daughters. We are a fun loving family of four, living on a small (wanna be) farm with our dog Larry and a flock of hens. Larry was a rescue from the humane society- and despite her rough start, she is ridiculous sweet. She can be both playful and lazy- a great combination for a playdate. The house yard is dog friendly- very large and fully fenced. My home is equally dog friendly- relaxed with plenty of room to get comfortable. I have a work from home situation, so your furry friend/family member will get plenty of love and good attention. I (and my family) are very animal - and people- focused. While I will be the primary contact and person in charge of your dog, know that my family will also be available and more than willing to help- we love dogs! Happy to have yours with us :). About: I’ve spent my life around animals, growing up with big dogs and cats and now working at an animal rescue. We love to play in my fully fenced yard regularly throughout the day. Fridays and my weekends are all about enjoying the beautiful PNW with my pup and I’d love to bring your pets along for the ride! In my home, pets are welcome on the furniture and treated like members of the family. Paws are wiped off when we come back inside, and everyone has free roam of the house. When necessary we have gates to seperate upstairs and downstairs areas, so if your pet needs some private time on their own couch, it’s available to them! At your house, I treat your space with the same level of care I give your pets. I’ll make sure the mail is brought in, your plants are watered, the house stays tidy, and the locks are triple checked. Because I work with rescued animals, I’m also very intentional about maintaining your pet’s routine to minimize any anxiety while you’re away. When we’re out, I’m hyper-vigilant about leash safety and harness checks. If your dog is a flight risk or just easily spooked, I have the experience to keep them focused, happy, and secure. I know I need lots of updates when I’m on vacation, so you’ll get plenty of photos from me from each visit! No judgement if you’re a helicopter pet parent, I promise 😉

About: I'm super attentive and believe dogs have a language of their own. They can communicate with their behavior and emotional undertones. In a way I feel I understand that well. Not so different than children in their needs of love attention and affection. We have a small pug who is exceedingly friendly and welcoming to other dogs, like a little best friend and playmate. My kids are usually in school during the day. When I get the chance I love to take them to the dog parks or fields to run and play. Exercise is as important as good food and a warm cozy bed. I prefer that they have their own bed for scent purposes so that they smell home. I prefer you bring your own food as each dog has a favorite, important that they want to eat while you're away. I’ve continued that lifestyle as much as possible for a nomad (married to active duty military) so I love getting as much animal time in as I can. I’m great with all animals, and have an 18 month old Corgi myself. Hopefully we (or at least I) will be a good fit for your pet family needs! I’m working part time now with flexible hours. I can come to your residence, or you can drop your loved one off with me. I live in Poulsbo, and there’s plenty of room to run here. I have 6.5 acres, plenty of room to run but it it in fenced - which means your pet will either need to remain on leash or be trained well enough to return when I call them. Again, no fence. If you plan on dropping your pet off here, I would like to do a meet and greet first, to make sure we’re a good fit.

About: Hi! I’ve been around animals my entire life, and caring for them has always been part of my everyday world. From a young age, my life has revolved around animals and helping them become the best versions of themselves. Some of my earliest experiences were with cats, including a feral rescue named Misty I bonded with closely as a child. I tend to connect well with animals that are more troubled, reactive, or unsure, and I’m often able to bring out their calmer, more trusting side. Later on in my life, my experience expanded significantly through raising and caring for Golden Retrievers. Growing up around breeding and long-term dog care taught me responsibility, consistency, and how much attention animals need at different stages of life. I’ve been involved in raising dogs from newborns to adulthood, and many of the dogs I’ve helped raise have gone on to become unforgettable adventure companions for their families. Over the past fifteen years, I’ve gained extensive experience working with animals through long-term, hands-on care. My background as a Golden Retriever breeder has given me perspective on how different animals can be, even within the same breed. Every animal has unique preferences, behaviors, and ways of communicating, and learning to recognize those differences has been a major part of my experience. I’m comfortable managing multiple animals at once and handling a range of needs without becoming overwhelmed. I’m most accustomed to larger dogs, but my experience raising puppies has given me the delicacy and awareness needed to care for smaller animals as well. I’m especially familiar with puppies under six months old, including their unpredictable behavior and the extra attention they require. I’ve also worked with dogs that can be semi-reactive in certain situations. While I’m not willing to take on dogs that are broadly aggressive, I retain the right to assess the dog before accepting. I’m most comfortable with working with dogs that are borderline reactive but not reactive-aggressive. I can recognize signs of stress or reactivity, and can manage dogs that are generally well-functioning but may need thoughtful handling in specific situations. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available for drop-ins and walks throughout the day, generally between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, unless I’m staying at a client’s home for house sitting. Animal care already shapes my daily routine, and I’m used to structuring my day around feeding schedules, exercise, outdoor exposure, and rest. I’m comfortable juggling different routines and planning time and resources around an animal’s specific needs. I’m very conscientious about safety and environmental risks. I pay close attention to doors, gates, toxic plants, household hazards, interactions with unfamiliar animals, and changes in an animal’s behavior. I rely on observation and experience to distinguish between normal behavior and something that may need attention. If something seems off, I communicate clearly and directly, providing context and details without being alarmist. I also enjoy sharing updates and photos so owners feel informed and connected while they’re away. I have experience filming and taking photos of animals especially dogs and cats that don’t sit still - so you’re bound to get a good photo or two of them.

About: I grew up with many dogs, my family bred dogs so I am very comfortable with puppies and animals that are not yet potty trained. I also have experience caring for sick dogs and dogs that need special care. I’m a college student home for the summer, looking to help out around my community and watch after your animals! I love walking dogs and can always come and check on your pets when needed. While I can’t host any pets in my home, I feel comfortable servicing anyones pet in their own home. Making sure to give them water, treats, toys or food.

About: I have taken care of all types of animals since I was very small. I have experience with all types of barn yard animals, rodents, geckos, cats, dogs, fish, bugs, I’ve seen and taken care of it all. I have had many dogs and cats of all different sizes, temperaments, and breeds and just love anything to do with them. I am very experienced in all ages of care from young to senior and love to dote on any animal I meet. I am currently home for the summer from college, have no other job, and only need to leave the house to take care of my animals and complete my fitness plan for my college athletics in the fall. I will not need to be out of the house for more than 3 hours at a time so I can tend to the animals as much or as little as needed. :) I make sure to stick to whatever routine is set for the animals to the best of my ability as it is very important for their well being. I love to give ample amount of attention to animals that would like it, and plenty of space to those who don’t.

About: I have always been an extreme dog lover…growing up I volunteered through various adoption agencies and duties included fostering dogs, helping with walks, and lots of playing and entertaining. I have two absolutely insane pups, so no dog will be too much energy to handle. My partner and I are very active and love bringing our pups along on all of our adventures, and I would love to do the same for your pup, if they like the outdoors. If not, I'm just as happy snuggling up and providing lots of love and attention when you're away. I unfortunately cannot sit inside my home because my one pup, Kona, doesn't always get along with other dogs, but walks, drop-ins and house sitting are definitely something I can do! I'm very flexible when it comes to what you might need, so I can make most accommodations without issue! I'm very excited to take care of your pup while you're out, and I always send pics/updates (if you'd like), because I know I love when a sitter does that for me! Fit in care around work schedule, try to accommodate what your needs are. Depending on the season, my availability changes but I’ll always be upfront about that. About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life and have grown up in a home with dogs since I was five years old. I cared for my own chihuahua–pug mix, who lived to be 18 years old. This gave me extensive hands-on experience with both daily care and the unique needs of senior dogs. I also have several years of hands-on experience caring for cats. I’ve had my own cats for about six years, including one with chronic pancreatitis who requires frequent medication administered through a topical ear ointment. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve provided pet sitting for several repeat customers, caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels, including a senior terrier, a pitbull, and a husky.
