Her apt is very welcoming to dogs as she always has fellow playmates around and has a patio area where they can eliminate. One time, my puppy jumped off the furniture wrong and had hurt himself. She called me immediately and also did the courtesy of contacting DogVacay’s own vet for advice. About: I have had animals literally my entire life including dogs, cats, hamsters, rats, birds, fish, and lizards. I currently have 2 dogs-a labradoodle named Axel that loves everyone and everything and a rescue pit mix named Winnie that loves dogs but is afraid of people, as well as 3 cats that live upstairs. Axel is very rambunctious and can get pretty excited at first but eventually mellows out. Winnie LOVES meeting new dogs and will do what I call the "pittie hop". I love animals and I feel that they are a part of the family. I (we) will treat your animal just like my own. If an animal comes to my home someone is almost always home to provide care, snuggles, and treats. I have experience with large breed dogs, specialty foods, older animals, and giving medications. We have a large, fenced yard for the dogs to run around and play. I do require that your pups be UTD on vaccinations and that they have basic obedience training. I do not take dogs in heat just because I have never personally dealt with that before. I look forward to working with you and your animals. One last note, I require a meet and greet with ALL new clients since I do have my own dogs to ensure everyone gets along, you as a pet parents feel comfortable, and the home now smells familiar for the next time your pup comes over. I am up at 4:30 am during the week and my husband is retired so we have lots of time to spend with your dog(s). We also have 2 teens at home that help so your fur babies will get plenty of love and attention. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of room to run and play. About: The first time I cared for cats was when a family friend went out of town when I was seven. I fell in love, and getting to spend time caring for cats while doing homework became my favorite gig as a teenager. I've had my own cat for close to four years, now. We originally adopted two rescues, but sadly our Pip-Boy had a terrible injury when he was found and it continued to cause him recurring problems until we finally made the impossible decision to put him down just one month before our first child was born in 2024. (I like to say he had to go when he did so he could give her last minute instructions for life.) In the last six months of his life we had medicine to administer that we got VERY good at giving him despite his vetrile hatred of said medicine. I'm comfortable giving medicine orally, including medicine that needs to stay in the cats mouth, and finding creative ways to hide it in food and water. I am also open to learning how to give injected medicine if you're willing to teach me. I love playing with cats who enjoy that kind of human interaction and pretending not to pay any attention to those who prefer to exist in an alternate dimension. 😁
“Our 16-year old part-feral kitty has a reputation among the many people who have known her - on both coasts of the U.S. - for her whole life. While having her own charm, she is touchy and extremely protective of her personal space. With vets, she is virtually un-treatable. So it was with some trepidation that we hired a complete stranger for the first time ever to look after her for over a week. Naomi impressed us with her professionalism and passion for winning over her charges. We gave her some pointers, crossed our fingers, and left the two of them to sort it out. Within only a couple days our cat went from hissing virulently and hiding for hours, to actually tolerating touch and engaging in play in Naomi's presence. We can't be more impressed and delighted. About: We both grew up with dogs and have fostered 4 times. We currently own a 3 year old rescue pup. We’ve cared for the smallest of dog breeds (Havanese and Boston Terrier) to the largest of breeds (Labs/retrievers, German shepherds, Belgian malinois, pit bulls, etc) so we’re comfortable with all dogs! I’ve read a few training books for doggies, stayed multiple nights for pet sitting, volunteered at pet shops, worked at pet stores, handled kittens and puppies with care, worked with senior cats and dogs, as well as other barn animals as well! I am currently working a part time job in silverdale, usually around 10-15 hours a week. I always receive my schedule at least a week in advance, so I just need time to plan around that. Otherwise, I’m a fairly open schedule! I have experience with crating dogs and giving them daily medicines if needed, or any unique care. If there is ever at all an emergency situation, I will call you immediately while also taking your dog to the vet.

About: - I am home all day (just my dog and I). - I have a fully fenced yard, often featuring an agility course and splash pad. - I have an entire room full of dog toys and treats. - I'm more than happy to send you photos of your dogs while you're away (at your request), as I know how hard it can be to be away from your dog. - The home is large and spacious and is well set-up for any breed of dog. - I have a 4.5 year old female Aussie who I have trained and cared for since she was 8 weeks old. - I have lived with dogs my whole life. - I am experienced with dog training (from puppy to adult; tricks, behavior, and agility). - By default, dogs are allowed in all places of my home. - I have most dog suppliers: toys, treats, puppy pads, first aid kit, dog beds, etc. Your dog will receive my undivided attention, care, and play when they board with me (both indoors and outdoors). I will make sure your dogs receive sufficient activity (If they are healthy enough for it). If your dogs like to play fetch, they're especially in luck here. I have a fenced yard and a large dog-safe home for dogs of any age. I will only crate your dog if you request it.
