Ginger is still very young—she isn’t fully potty trained or fully trained in general—so caring for her is truly a full-time job. Victor showed incredible patience, kindness, and dedication throughout. Ginger even ripped some of his dog’s toys, and he never once complained. “Jenny took care of our neighbor's dog Willow for us when we were taking care of it and had to leave unexpectedly for 3 days, the boarding experience went very well and she was very thoughtful and asked good questions prior to the boarding. Willow had a great time playing with her dog and when I came to pick her up Jenny had Willow's crate all packed up with her things and ready for me, which I really appreciated. Willow is a dog who can be anxious at times but it was obvious that she felt very comfortable with Jenny. We are pretty picky about who watches our pooches and are glad to have found someone in Gold Bar who we feel good about recommending or using for our own dogs.”
“Natalie is wonderful! As soon as we got there she made me and my girl comfortable. My dog is very perceptive with people and animals. If she isn’t comfortable she won’t go near them. Immediately my dog was wagging her tail and happy to be there. Likewise, when we picked her up she was happy. While greeting us she kept going back to Natalie as well. “Somer and Thomas were so great. They helped us out of a jam by accepting a very last-minute boarding reservation for our senior Great Pyrenees. Rosalie stayed 3 nights and was very well taken care of. When we picked her up she was calm, happy, and tired. Somer seems very knowledgeable about dog care and behavior and she even picked up on a medical issue Rosalie has and kept her cool and comfortable through a hot few days. We very much appreciate it and would absolutely recommend Somer and Thomas for boarding.”

We have two lab mixes an a jackrussel mix in our home with us whom we love deeply. Outside time is monitored the whole time to ensure everyone is safe and happy while playing in our beautiful yard. I am comfortable giving oral meds an insulin shots to our dearly beloved friends. We are a medical issue an disability friendly household that can take care your your best friends needs with the upmost care. We also have experience with Giant breeds an petite alike so please bring your "horses" an lil "bed bugs" to play or cuddle we don't discriminate. I have a special soft spot of senor dogs an their powdered sugar faces an will do everything to support our senior citizens in their twilight years. I have plenty of enrichment toys, treats, an orthopedic bed to meet your old pals needs. I do not provide care to cats, not because I don't want to I'm sadly allergic. I volunteered at an animal sanctuary on a farm for years and have watched dogs, cats, small animals like bunnies and guinea pigs, fish and more. I’m currently working part time. About: I grew up with animals - like quite a few! I've had cats since I was born, dogs since I was 8, a horse, a ferret, a bird, some fish...I've just always loved them! I would always take care of the neighbors' animals when they went out of town growing up, and have pet sat for many family members and friends. I even have some experience with goats and chickens :) I currently have a pug named Ricki, but live on a family compound with a great Swiss mountain dog, a pomeranian, and my mom's two frenchies visit often. I have a fairly flexible schedule throughout the week and would love to fill my days taking care of your fur babies I am currently without a pet for the first time in my life! Both of my senior pups passed during Covid after living long, healthy lives and while I'm not ready for another pet quite yet - I am really missing having an animal friend. I tend to have 3-4 day weekends and can be available during weeknights depending on time and location. I believe we are so lucky to have animals in our lives and want to do everything to keep them happy and healthy! I am available to pop in for a snuggle/play/walk session for your dogs or cats and am available for extended care in the right circumstances (house sitting or dog boarding). I do have a few dogs on the property (an 8 year old pug and a one year old great swiss mountain dog) so we would need to make sure everyone gets a long first. For dog walks, I would plan walk just your pooch to ensure they get the proper attention they deserve.

About: Hello all! I've have dogs my whole entire life, and as I grew up I became more and more passionate to work and be around dogs. I've had multiple years of working at a dog daycare facility, as well as worked at a Petsmart in their boarding/daycamp. At this point I've taken care of hundreds of dogs! I have 3 dogs currently myself. An Australian Shepard, and Aussie/Border collie mix, and another lab/German shepard mix. I'm used to the high energy dogs for sure! I absolutely adore how every dog has a different personality. It's what makes them so special! I am currently looking for work after moving back in the area, so I have plenty of availability and give lots of time and focus to your pet! I pay close attention to dogs body language, and can recognize when they're scared/happy/angry. I've even had to save a dog from choking on a ball once! Of course I give all dogs the same love and attention as if they're my own. They deserve it!

“Jenny took care of our neighbor's dog Willow for us when we were taking care of it and had to leave unexpectedly for 3 days, the boarding experience went very well and she was very thoughtful and asked good questions prior to the boarding. Willow had a great time playing with her dog and when I came to pick her up Jenny had Willow's crate all packed up with her things and ready for me, which I really appreciated. Willow is a dog who can be anxious at times but it was obvious that she felt very comfortable with Jenny. We are pretty picky about who watches our pooches and are glad to have found someone in Gold Bar who we feel good about recommending or using for our own dogs.”
“Somer and Thomas were so great. They helped us out of a jam by accepting a very last-minute boarding reservation for our senior Great Pyrenees. Rosalie stayed 3 nights and was very well taken care of. When we picked her up she was calm, happy, and tired. Somer seems very knowledgeable about dog care and behavior and she even picked up on a medical issue Rosalie has and kept her cool and comfortable through a hot few days. We very much appreciate it and would absolutely recommend Somer and Thomas for boarding.”

“Dawn was absolutely fantastic!! She was able to accommodate my dog last minute and is super amazing!!! Her place is a dog haven, with a lush yard and lots of shady tall trees. She sent me pupdates all weekend, and I could tell my dog was having a blast, and was super content and happy. Her pets are total sweethearts and they all got along great. An absolute gem, if you want the best for your pooch, look no further.”
“Kelsey was amazing with our 2 year old Newfoundland Poodle mix! Our dog is very large and new to boarding, so had some nerves to work out. Kelsey was very patient and kind with him. On day 1 he was reluctant to come out of the kennel, but by the end of his stay, he was happily running in the yard with other dogs. Kelsey sent us videos and pictures for his entire stay. We really appreciate her great care for our silly goofball”

“Janin (and familiy) has become Portia's second family when I'm away. It's incredibly comforting to know how well cared for she is. She's always incredibly excited to say hello and see what's new when we arrive and has a special bond with Janin, making sure to say goodbye when I pick her up. I almost feel guilty that I'm not concerned about her care when I'm gone - but extremely comforting (and thankful!) to know that I don't need to be!
