The only other time we have used this service to book care, the caregiver was also watching about six other dogs and we only got one brief note in the middle of the stay. With Peter and Missy, they only had one other dog for a short part of the stay, but the rest of the time it was just our dogs and theirs, Gunner. One of our dogs is blind and the other one is very needy, so we are always a little worried, but we did not have to be concerned at all. About: I’ve always had a love for animals. When an animal needs watched I’m the one family and friends call. I’ve done anything from drop in visits to a week at a time. I live in a home with dogs and ferrets. I also have a love for cats! I am familiar with them and take care of my grandmas cats when she needs help or overnight stays. Thank you for considering me to take care of your fur babies! As of now I am in school Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-1:30ish. I also have softball practice Mondays and Wednesdays 5:15-7:45. About: I've had dogs all of my life, numerous breeds and energy levels. I've personally owned a Golden Retriever and now a Bernese Mountain Dog. I used to run dogs in college and I fell in love with dogs, so I thought why not get exercise with a furry friend by my side! I can work with various leashes/collars/harnesses, etc. I've trained dogs with basic commands and potty training. I would love for your dog to come meet us and our Bernese! I have a Bernese Mountain pup, so between working full time and raising kids, making sure my little not so little pup gets exercise and a lot of sniffing everyday is extremely important and has become a fixture in our schedule. Teddy is fully vaccinated and can provide proof, so no need to worry! I ran and walked dogs in college for 2 years and I loved it. I've had numerous dogs in my life time and I make sure the dog is comfortable and ready to enjoy the time with us! This stay be a dogs most enjoyable time of the day, so making it fun especially with our Berner while getting to the point is crucial. Whatever piece of equipment like leash, harness, collar or piece of walking equipment you prefer for your dog I will work with. Comfortability is huge for pups/dogs. Crate would be preferred if not potty trained. I can let pups out to pee during the night. We want your dogs stay to be the best and would be grateful for your trust in us!

About: I have had dogs for my entire life! I currently have 2 dogs. Both are Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Trinity is our senior girl 13 yrs old, and Shira who is 2. I have had the most experience with big dogs (mainly German Shepherds and now Rhodesian Ridgebacks). I have done Schutzhund with my shepherds and have done dog shows and obedience shows locally with my Ridgebacks. Our dogs and the ones I take care of are always my priority. I treat all dogs like they are mine so they get all the love, snuggles, and attention they want. I have a safe and secure home and yard. We have a 3/4 acre completely fenced back yard fenced to 6 feet high. We are in the country and have lots of bunnies for them to chase. We also have a creek on our property that in good weather would be fun for the dogs to play in. I have some agility equipment that I will break out when the weather is nice and let dogs go through those or show them how. For rainy days we have toys and dog puzzles to keep their minds active. We also have a shop that I can put up agility equipment when the weather is lousy and cold so they can chase each other around in there if they are getting antsy. I also do daily obedience with my own dog and any other dog that is with me and wants to join in. While most of my experience has been with big dogs, I will work with any style and breed of dog after I meet them and we get to know each other. I also have experience working with packs of dogs, as at one time, I had a large pack of both German Shepherds, and then Ridgebacks. I also have a lot of experience working with puppies and can help with basic training. I seem to have a knack to help dogs who normally don’t eat or are very nervous when being left with someone else. I have had many boarders who’s moms and dads said were picky eaters or wouldn’t eat for a couple of days and somehow with me they eat well, don’t miss meals, and many times expand their diets. If you have a dog that takes medication I can, and have, administered meds that their parents bring. But I will only administer prescription meds written by a licensed veterinarian to the specific dog with explicit instructions. Bottom line, I don’t just “board” dogs. They are part of the family and treated as such until you get back. They Are talked to, interacted with by my dogs and myself and my husband all day long. They aren’t just put in a room or left outside to fend for themselves. They are truly being loved and cared for from the minute they are dropped off until the minute you pick them up. My husband and I are retired so I am full time at home now. So I can board 7 days a week. And overnight care at my house will be my specialty as you never have to worry about your dog being left for hours during the day or night. I have a very “dog friendly” home. That being said my house is clean and fairly tidy. I clean daily to make sure the dogs are in the best environment. My goal is to have your dog go home with you better than when they came. If they are full of mud from playing outside in the rain they will be washed and dried before they go home. If their nails are too long I will cut them (if the dog allows). If they need to be brushed, I will brush them and often give them a massage…this is especially good for the nervous dogs. If they are scared and feel nervous they will be returned happy and calm from being pampered while you were away. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture including our bed and can play inside or outside with my dogs who are very friendly to other dogs and people. I don’t crate any of my dogs and don’t require dogs that stay with me to be crated during the day or night. If you prefer your dog to be crated at night I will follow your instructions if you bring the crate that they are used to. Many of the dogs that I board sleep in our bed but they also have very plush beds throughout our home that they can sleep on overnight or during the day for naps. Wherever they feel more comfortable sleeping is fine with me even if they don’t want to be in our room with us and our dogs.

I’ll discuss this with you during the meet & greet and consider factors such as your pets’ needs and schedule, the distance from my home, and my family’s schedule at the time of the booking. If I’m not staying overnight, I’ll typically spend the day with your pets and head home around 9:30–10 PM, returning around 7 AM the following morning. I’m happy to spend as much time as needed during the day to provide plenty of quality time, attention, and care while you’re away, and I’ll work with you to create a routine that keeps your pets comfortable and your home well cared for!
