In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the space and the cats routine. I make sure feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, medications (if needed), playtime, and overall care stay consistent so cats feel secure while their owner is away. I also give plenty of affection and attention while still respecting boundaries, especially with shy or anxious animals. About: Hello, I'm Jenn! I started cat sitting for friends and now I've already been reviewed as a cat whisperer! I’ve had cats since grade school. I've also just started a Vet Assistant program and volunteering at a shelter so I can work more with animals. My experience started when “Kitty Cat” (the only name she would come to) came on our porch on Christmas Eve. We had her for many years. We also had Rascal around the same time. He was spunky and Kitty Cat begrudgingly tolerated him. Later on, I adopted my sweet Connie when a roommate left her behind. I had her for 16 years. She was probably up to 20 years old before she became ill and crossed the Rainbow Bridge (I met her before I met my husband). After we were ready, we adopted two stray kitten boys, Laszlo and Nandor (yes, named after two vampire characters from a sitcom). We take them out in our yard on a leash almost every day. They are black cats but we believe they are good luck! I know what my cats mean to me, and I’m sure your cats mean as much to you. I'm ready to show up with a notebook to take notes and take the best care of your fur baby (babies).

About: Hi, my name is marissa, i have always grown up taking care of dogs, we have fostered a lot of dogs and we absolutely adore each and every one of them! i do have 3 children under 4 in home as well as 2 dogs of my own so they need to be dog and children friendly! i am a stay at home mama to 3 beautiful children and it’s driving me nuts to not be able to work so i am hoping rover is going to be able to help me with that! we have a fully fenced in back yard with a 2 story house for them to roam and play! i have lots of toys so no need for those! we have 3 boys under 4 so no aggressive dogs! Potty training is preferred but its okay if not as i can accommodate to 30 min to an hour between potty breaks!

About: I've been a dog handler for about eight years. I started at Meg's Dog House as my first job out of high school and learned everything I know about dogs in my 7 years working there. When Covid hit, Meg and her husband retired and I moved to Seattle where I have spent the last year working as a live in caregiver until recently moving into my own place. I just moved to Arizona after a decade of wanting to make the switch (grew up in Washington and hate the weather) and would love to pick up some side jobs here and there. While Rover cannot be my fulltime job due to the inconsistencies of bookings, I do maintain a main job but I do dedicate most my available free time to the dogs I'm watching when I am off work and schedules would be thoroughly discussed before booking. I have two dogs and two kittens, so I'm used to having animals and catering to them around my schedule. Currently I have open availability but this will change when I get a job so it just depends on my new hours but generally speaking I like a minimum of 3 walks daily, with at least one of them being to an area where they can safely run off leash or on a long line to stretch their legs. However the client prefers. I am adaptable and willing to learn. I have worked with special needs dogs, older dogs, and have a lot of experience with puppies. I am a novice trainer and groomer as well so my whole world is centered around animals!

With my former dog, I did basic training in commands (i.e. sit, stay, come) and know how to be firm when necessary. About: I have taken care of animals since I was a pre-teen, but fell in love with animal care fully in my junior year of high school, after I began volunteering at the Everett Animal Shelter. Since then, I have changed positions and worked as a post-surgery volunteer with PAWS, transporting and handling anesthetized animals after they underwent surgeries. This summer I am also interning at PAWS again, this time as a Foster Care Intern, where I manage the entire foster care system behind the scenes. Additionally, I have worked with large animals such as horses while volunteering, managed and milked dairy cattle, and took care of pigs as my job on the side. I will continue to grow my portfolio, as I am a Pre-Vet Animal Science major at Washington State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian one day. I am currently on summer break in my hometown (Everett) and have pretty open availability. I intern at paws from 8am-12pm on Sundays & Mondays, and 12-5pm on Thursdays, but other than that, I am free for walks, house sitting, or drop ins! Safety is extremely important during both house sitting & walks! For walks, I like to make sure dogs stay on the side of the sidewalk away from the road, as well as being properly harnessed and equipped with essential needs like poop bags and water incase of an emergency. I also keep a sharp eye out for other dogs to steer clear from unwanted interactions. Additionally, during house sitting, outside doors stay locked at all times, and your pet is watched 24/7. No escapes will happen on my watch! I am open to following any other rules, expectations or suggestions you have regarding your pet & house’s safety!

“Mary was amazing and took special care of our older pup on such short notice. This was our first time using Rover and we could not be any happier about the great straight forward process. Mary was able to answer all of our questions upfront and kept us informed via messages in the app and pictures of our dog everyday. She answered any questions quickly and our dog came back to us a very happy tired boy. Anytime we are heading north out of Seattle and can’t take our pup with us I’m only going to ask Mary to watch him. “Darin and his family were a great match for our spoiled Golden Retriever’s first time away from us. I received regular updates to help me feel comfortable. Our dog, Sprite, returned home and acted like nothing had happened. She was her usual happy, relaxed self and we had been anticipating she might be upset that we had left her behind. I believe that Sprite has officially adopted Darin and his family into our family. Darin, thank you for making Sprite feel at home in your home. Travel as a handicapped person is difficult, scary, and frustrating. Knowing my dog is happy and safe while I am away makes it easier to face those challenges.”
