I was traveling at the time, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing Theo was in such good hands—especially since he had been dealing with a sensitive stomach for a few weeks prior. He’s on a special diet and requires careful monitoring, and Anping followed all instructions thoroughly and attentively. What really stood out was the level of communication. Anping provided daily updates, was very responsive, and shared plenty of photos, which made me feel connected and reassured throughout my trip. Theo is a high-energy dog, as most Border Collies are, and Anping made sure he got regular walks and enough activity every day. It’s clear that he does this out of genuine passion and care for dogs. My dog is an older dog and an only child so he has habits (not being in a crate, sleeping on the couch, etc) and Akiko was fine with it all. Pre-Visit - Akiko came outside to meet Jesse. They made an instant connection and I knew that she would work out. This was my first time ever leaving my dog for any extended period of time. Meeting Akiko for the first time extinguished any doubt or nervousness I was feeling about being away so long. During vacation - Akiko was amazing about sending me updates and pics/videos to let me know how Jesse was doing. I had no doubt in my mind that he was being well cared for. Pick-up - After my vacation, Akiko was very flexible about my coming to pick up Jesse. When I arrived, Akiko had everything packed and ready to going. That was a blessing because I was exhausted after my trip. Because of my flexible routine, I can also adapt to different pets’ needs and schedules to help them feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I always try to create a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for pets, whether they are staying in my home or I am caring for them in their owner’s home. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. At home, pets will receive lots of attention, supervision, and a clean space to relax. Since I work from home, I’m able to be present throughout the day and provide companionship and regular care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and focus on helping pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I understand that every pet has different personalities and needs, so I always approach them with patience, gentleness, and care.
