We live in the Silver Beach neighborhood and have recently lost our sweet little poodle and now that our children are grown and gone, I feel I can provide a safe, reliable, and fun space for dog parents who need a sitter. I am a homemaker who enjoys, hiking, and biking and being in the outdoors. I travel to see our son who is in college at UNC but for the most part am here in Bellingham and available for dog sitting. Once having a discussion with my guy he said, “even the dog ranks higher than me!” A dog is more than a pet. They are a companion who loves unconditionally. Who is ready to play or not. About: I will take exceptional care of your pets as animals are my favorite thing in the world. When people ask me what my "passion" is, the only thing that comes to mind is caring for animals. About: Hi there, I've been sitting for family and friends for a long time now and figured some other furry friends could use some company while their humans are away. Dogs and cats can have very different personalities, and I act accordingly for their needs and temperaments. If we need to go for a 5 mile run, so be it. I am proud to say I can keep up with them, although raising an aussie puppy is not for the faint of heart! They deserve adventures so I take them to new places with new smells and I would be happy to help your pup experience the world in a new way too! If you're not comfortable with that, they are safe in my home too 💚 Pet care is a full-time job and I treat it as such. Fur babies in my home get enrichment via toys, puzzles, treats and exercise- happy to train your doggo under 90lbs to use our treadmill! We go out to herd a few times a week and get outdoors every day, rain or shine :) My pets are my family. They deserve to be safe, healthy, and comfortable. I understand that it is a deep honor to afford them the freedom and attention they deserve and I dont take the responsibility lightly.
About: My goal is to provide an environment where I would feel good about dropping my pup off at (they are our children after all!). My condo is small but there is no shortage of fuzzy blankets, pets, and walks! Besides my dog, I never host more than one dog in my home at a time. I adopted my dog from the shelter over 10 years ago and makes sure he had plenty of cozy places to sleep, snacks, and walks! I current work from home, so I’m generally around most of the day besides going for a run. I often run in the morning, during lunch, or after work but this can be flexible to suit the needs of the animals! About: Hello! My name is Melina and we have a 4-year old Vizsla, Rasco, who loves to sleep, play and follow us on adventures. Your pup will be treated as one of ours, with lots of play time, attention and cuddles. If you have a high-energy dog, he'll fit right in as well, as I go on longer hikes every day with Rasco. In the winter we often cross country ski and in the summer we bike, hike, go to lakes and anything else that's fun! We've got tons of dog toys and dog beds available. Pets are allowed on furniture, and we don't have/use crates as I will mostly be home and around. If you would like to bring your own crate, that is totally fine as well! We have a fenced in yard with a doggie door too, so they have space to play outside as well when we're not out on a walk or a hike. About: We've raised Bruce, an Aussie-lab mix since 2016, and recently hosted a family members 2 corgis for 6 months during 2020. Prior to Bruce, I helped train our family Chihuahua beginning in 2010. I work as a school bus driver, so I leave the house early in the morning for few hours, then have 2-4 hrs off and then drive the kids home in the afternoon, usually 2-6 pm. I currently have one of my own after losing three elderly dogs in the last few years. I now only have Ernie a chihuahua cross i rescued from Kansas in 2017. I've had experience with various breeds and fostered ex racer greyhounds for a while in the U.K. I also have two indoor/outdoor cats I rescued as kittens from local feral cat litters. I finish work for the Summer in June and can offer drop in services up to three times a day for dogs, cats and smaller furries if you live in the local area, Maple Falls etc. These can be whilst you’re at work to give your beloved pet a potty break or they can be for longer stretches of time while you vacation so you can feel secure your dogs are in their own home safe and comfortable. I can also board dogs in my own home from all over Whatcom county if they are dog/cat/responsible kid friendly. I have a fenced in yard and a very dog friendly house! I finish work for the summer in June and have a lot of availability for both walks, drop ins and boarding! From June 12th my schedule really opens up! I have a fenced yard and a dog friendly home. I have two dog friendly cats who are indoor and outdoor and tolerated living with four dogs and two kids. Dogs are allowed on my sofa and bed but only if you allow that at home… I don’t want to create bad habits!
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. As the daughter of two veterinarians, I grew up working in a veterinary clinic. More recently, I worked in a dog boarding facility, so I am comfortable caring for animals of all behavior types and physical conditions. I understand how important our pets are to us and I am eager to help ! I work another part time job, and my schedule gives me plenty of openings throughout the week to stop by. I am available Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Saturday on most weeks, but my schedule is flexible. I have a car and am able and willing to drive to clients’ homes within a wide radius. About: Hello there, I’m Audrey. I’m a lifelong animal lover who is dedicated to being a compassionate and informed pet companion. I’ve been caring for pets since I was a kid, starting with my family’s siamese cat and border collie rescue. About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old and I have had two cats since 2008. Friends have also often asked me to take care of their pets when they are out of town. I am currently working part-time while also working on my PhD dissertation, so I am able to to accommodate a number of possible schedules and visits. I live in a neighborhood with many sidewalks and trails along with there being two parks within just a few minutes walk, all of which make walking a breeze. About: Since I was very young I have loved and cared for our dogs and cats. For the pups, taking them for long walks and spoiling them with toys and cuddles are among my specialties! For my cats, they are the lucky recipients of lots and lots of petting, cat toys and of course their favorite meals. About: I have always had a passion for animals. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, we love going on hikes, going to the park, basically anything. When I'm not at work, I'm always with my girls. I have worked in an animal shelter in the past, and I would love to get more experience working with animals. Who knows, this could be the direction I end up taking my career. I work part time and have a workout schedule so I take them out early in the morning, late in the morning, afternoon, evening, and before bed. My dog doesn't like to eat sometimes when he stays at Rovers, and they were able to make him feel comfortable enough to eat. He also can be a little weird about some of others, especially larger ones. But they have a smart separation and introduction system, so my dog warmed up nicely and got along well with all the other dogs and enjoyed playing. My dog really enjoyed snooping around their fenced backyard too! I recommend Sara for sitting your dog!”
