He had never experienced grass before so when we first got him his paws would bleed and I got the opportunity to help heal him and hone in to correct his bad behavior skills. I would dedicate 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night to train him for a year before he started to trust me and we developed a wonderful relationship like we have with our Kota. I love all of our animal immensely and I believe that animals are not some inanimate object you have but a true companion in your life that deserves to be treated like family. I’m Jen — a lifelong animal lover with over 4 years of hands-on experience working at an animal shelter, plus many additional months caring for dogs and other animals on a small farm property. If there’s one thing I truly understand, it’s dogs. Especially the shy, anxious, and misunderstood ones. They hold a very special place in my heart! At the shelter I worked with every type of dog imaginable, from easygoing family pups to dogs with more complex needs due to past trauma. I have a house with a large open fenced in yard with grass. I have a large crate also if needed. I also have 2 small very friendly dogs of my own here, a Malshi male (Shih tzu/Maltese mix) and a purebred Maltese female. A peaceful and safe environment for all of your pets!
About: I’ve always had a soft spot for animals since I was little. I have one myself 🐾 & I love her so so much!! She’s a 4 yr old Pom 🤍 I work part-time. About: About me: I am a Project Engineer for a construction company, we a have a little boy and a baby on the way, and we LOVE animals! We have two beautiful horses, three wonderful dogs, and two cats. Eventually I would like to rescue a few farm animals and foster dogs. One thing that breaks my heart is seeing animals in the shelter or up for slaughter. I think every animal deserves a second shot at life and I wish I could take them all on. However I have saved a few horses from slaughter and retrained them to give them a promising future! Basically I work hard to give my animals and future animals a wonderful life! In HS I was an active FFA member which gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge from just horses, dogs, and cats to dairy cattle, goats, poultry, rabbits, and swine. I also worked for a large animal veterinarian for 2 years as a vet assistant and gained even more knowledge on how to properly care for ALL animals. Ranging from exotics, livestock, equine, dogs, and cats. So your Fur baby is in GOOD hands! At this time I am only accepting clients for drop in visits or house sitting (I do not stay the night). As we just welcomed a newborn baby into our lives. However I am available at all hours to take care of your pet needs! I look forward to working with you! My evenings are reserved for more exercise/walks/fetch and plenty of one-on-one snuggles to wind down. I prioritize clear communication, sending you photo and text updates throughout the day so you never have to wonder how your best friend is doing. We live on 2.5 acres so there is a lot of room to play fetch and get lots of exercise. It’s mostly fenced so I am happy to take dogs on leashed walks if preferred. We live in a large house which dogs are welcome in and will get lots of attention from my 3 year old son. We do have a cat (Boba) which is very friendly and stays in her own room at night so dogs have the rest of the house over night.
About: With years of experience in dog care including breeding and pet sitting many different breeds such as; Labs, Pit bulls, German Shepards, Dachshunds, and Corgis for our friends and family, I have developed a deep understanding of differentiating canine needs. Above all, I believe in patience and consistency, ensuring that each dog feels cared for whether they’re with me for a short period or a long stay. I only work 3 days a week and have a very flexible schedule which would make it easy for me to care for other dogs. I also have a very helpful partner I live with who also loves animals. We have a doggy door so they have easy access to get in and out. We live in a very safe neighborhood with lots of pet friendly trails.
About: I’ve taken care of neighbors dogs for over 15 years while they are out of town. Not every dog is the same or needs the same amount of care. ***I won’t accept a job unless we are able to do a meet and greet ahead of time.*** I work from home so my schedule is really flexible. I can make most requests work for your needs. Being patient with older dogs is not a problem! I won’t take care of a pet unless I do a meet and greet first and make sure we are a good fit and I understand what you want and how you take care of your dogs so I can do the same.
