She has dogs of her own (an adult Beagle who is very friendly and mellow and a 5 month old puppy who is very engaging, friendly and playful with other dogs and puppies. My puppy had a wonderful time at Crystal's playing tug of war with the kids and the dogs. Crystal also has a large fenced backyard where the puppies could play and chase bunnies or squirrels or each other to their heart's content! Crystal was very organized and asked a lot of questions about his normal routine and feeding habits and collected all the information she might have needed while she hosts my puppy. It was my first time away from my puppy, so she also walked me through what to expect for the first night and how she usually handles puppies who are staying away for the first time and how she helps them cope with the change. I was very impressed with her preparedness and was reassured that my puppy was going to have a smooth and easy night. I had nothing to worry about and she kept me updated on how my puppy was doing and sent pics of his during the stay. I would highly recommend her to other dog owners who want to board their dogs/puppies overnight at a welcoming, dog friendly home with an experienced host. You'll have peace of mind and your dog will have a wonderful stay :-)”

About: Most people call me Josh. Dogs have always been my favorite animal and I've lived with them for most of my life. I am recently dog-free and I miss having dog energy in my house. I've raised two dogs through basic obedience to adulthood, one with a class, and one largely on my own. I am personally a big believer in the methods described in The Art of Raising a Puppy, because I have had excellent results with their techniques, but will of course prioritize whatever approach is preferred by owners. I am happy to help reinforce any basic obedience your dog may be working on, as well as senior dogs. I am comfortable with a wide range of dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Highly reactive dogs are not my favorite, but "highly reactive" can be subjective, so I will consider such dogs on a case by case basis. I am happy to work with dogs of varying activity levels, but extremely high-activity dogs will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. I am currently working from home and am available for dropoff in-home daycare most weekdays and dog boarding (including weekends). My schedule for my dog was three walks a day (morning, afternoon/dinnertime, bedtime) so that is what I'm used to, but I am happy to work with clients to discuss their routine and work with them to agree on an experience that fits their and their dog's needs. I currently have no other animals in my home, so your dog will get my full attention as needed. I don't have a fenced yard, but I am in a residential neighborhood with a good-sized park a block away. I am reasonably close to Seward Park and the Genesee dog park as well.

“This was our first time staying with Quang and my dog, Leia had the best stay! Their chocolate lab Boo was the perfect companion along with the other dogs he was boarding at the same time. His communication was very prompt and I got a ton of videos and pictures to see how well my pup was doing while we were gone.
