“Jenny took care of our neighbor's dog Willow for us when we were taking care of it and had to leave unexpectedly for 3 days, the boarding experience went very well and she was very thoughtful and asked good questions prior to the boarding. Willow had a great time playing with her dog and when I came to pick her up Jenny had Willow's crate all packed up with her things and ready for me, which I really appreciated. Willow is a dog who can be anxious at times but it was obvious that she felt very comfortable with Jenny. We are pretty picky about who watches our pooches and are glad to have found someone in Gold Bar who we feel good about recommending or using for our own dogs.”

About: I have experience with my current dog after going through several months of behavioral training as a puppy. I also have experience with senior dogs and cats growing up at my parents home. I also know how to administer medicine both orally and through ear medicine for cats. During the week, early mornings, late afternoons and evenings are best. On the weekends, late afternoons and evenings are best. With enough time, I can accommodate noon appointments. Feeding, outside time, cleaning litter box, and playing/exercise time will all be standard, but it depends on the needs of the cat. I can also administer medicine as well. About: I grew up with animals - like quite a few! I've had cats since I was born, dogs since I was 8, a horse, a ferret, a bird, some fish...I've just always loved them! I would always take care of the neighbors' animals when they went out of town growing up, and have pet sat for many family members and friends. I even have some experience with goats and chickens :) I currently have a pug named Ricki, but live on a family compound with a great Swiss mountain dog, a pomeranian, and my mom's two frenchies visit often. I have a fairly flexible schedule throughout the week and would love to fill my days taking care of your fur babies I am currently without a pet for the first time in my life! Both of my senior pups passed during Covid after living long, healthy lives and while I'm not ready for another pet quite yet - I am really missing having an animal friend. I do have a few dogs on the property (an 8 year old pug and a one year old great swiss mountain dog) so we would need to make sure everyone gets a long first. I can do puppy care, senior care, or anything in between. Happy to work with reactive dogs as long as they are not human aggressive or a risk to redirect reactions onto nearby humans. I am freelancing, so my schedule is built around my bookings rather than the other way around. My only blocked out time is for taking my own dog to nosework classes! Leave detailed instructions, and I will follow them to the letter. My goal is to provide care as close to your “normal” that your animals receive when you’re home with them.

Willow had a great time playing with her dog and when I came to pick her up Jenny had Willow's crate all packed up with her things and ready for me, which I really appreciated. Willow is a dog who can be anxious at times but it was obvious that she felt very comfortable with Jenny. We are pretty picky about who watches our pooches and are glad to have found someone in Gold Bar who we feel good about recommending or using for our own dogs.”
“Somer and Thomas were so great. They helped us out of a jam by accepting a very last-minute boarding reservation for our senior Great Pyrenees. Rosalie stayed 3 nights and was very well taken care of. When we picked her up she was calm, happy, and tired. Somer seems very knowledgeable about dog care and behavior and she even picked up on a medical issue Rosalie has and kept her cool and comfortable through a hot few days. We very much appreciate it and would absolutely recommend Somer and Thomas for boarding.”

So spoiled! ❤️We received adorable photos and videos while we were gone. She even did some leash work with Theo, which he really needs and I noticed the difference already. The day before my booking was supposed to start, one of my girls got attacked by another dog and needed stitches on her ear and routine medication. I offered cancellation if they weren't comfortable with that, but Amanda assured me that her training as a nurse meant treating wounds was no problem at all. My girls got lots of walks, lots of love, and proper medical care. Choosing Amanda and Eric was such a blessing!”
