About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life. I’ve had experience dog and cat sitting for about ten years now. I’ve volunteered at my local animal shelter where I walked dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I take a big role in caring for my family dog, Gus, who is my pride and joy! I’m spending about a month in Burlington. My full time job doesn’t start until mid August so I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets. Because I am not working right now I am extremely flexible with hours. I have a large apartment with 5 animal living roommates. About: I have had dogs in my life since I can remember, from family dogs to dog sitting for friends in high school, to now owning my own two little creatures. I am knowledgeable and comfortable with high-anxiety dogs and leash-reactive dogs (one of mine is both of these and more!) and am comfortable and confident with all sizes, breeds, and ages. There's nothing better than plugging into a good podcast and taking a nice, long walk with a furry friend. I have experience with all types of dogs, especially bully breed dogs (pit bulls, boxers, etc) and everything from high anxiety dogs to puppies to elder care dogs. I can administer oral medication, and have given humans shots before so with some owner coaching, would definitely be comfortable administering injected medication if needed. I'm currently working part time, so I have lots of time to take your pup on a walk during the day or hang with them while you’re out of town. I live in Burlington, VT, but I'm willing to travel. I am happy to come to your home where your dog is already comfortable and familiar. Having two dogs who have utilized Rover for this reason, I believe it is the best option for some high-anxiety dogs not to be put into an unfamiliar situation when their parents are gone. Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. I love animals and will care for your pets as if they were my own. ****** PLEASE NOTE ****** that we have two dogs (an elderly deaf pug named Alice, and a senior terrier mix named Edie) and one cat. Our pets are friendly towards other dogs, cats, and people who come to visit/ stay with us. Please let me know if you have any concerns about your pet staying with our pets, or if they don't have experience with cats. We can discuss and ensure it'll be a good mutual fit. I am an educator at the local elementary school, and offer pet care services to neighbors and visitors to the area. My availability is generally flexible on the weekends, and can extend into the week on a case-by-case basis. I generally offer 3-4 walks per day, including one longer adventure to mountain trails, or another nearby, dog friendly destination. I'm happy to bring your pup to any of their favorite spots (within reason). About: I grew up with many animals, both my own pets, and animals on my grandfather's dairy farm (he was also a vet). I live in the country in Richmond, and have cats, young kids and animals Rover won't let me name in the description...but they provide eggs. If your dog is 100% safe with those people and pets and well-behaved, let's talk! Independently insured. We enjoy hosting dogs, and are home most days of the week for most of the day. About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I learned a lot of what I know from firsthand experience but also from reading many books of dog behavior and from being taught training techniques from a close family friend and dog trainer. I am currently a student at University and my schedule takes me away from the home for 6 hours a day 5 days a week. I am always providing enrichment activities for my dog while I am away from the house and we go on a long walk when I return. I have a big yard that is partially wooded for the dogs to play around in, whether your dog is good off leash or not. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. My dog is very easy going so we are willing to be adaptable on a pet to pet basis.

I have three dogs of my own and always travel with my smallest one, Meera, a 9lb chi mix who is very quiet and well behaved. I work at a doggie daycare four days a week so Friday through Sunday I’d be out of the house for about 8 hours a day. About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life. I’ve had experience dog and cat sitting for about ten years now. I’ve volunteered at my local animal shelter where I walked dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I take a big role in caring for my family dog, Gus, who is my pride and joy! I’m spending about a month in Burlington. My full time job doesn’t start until mid August so I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets. Because I am not working right now I am extremely flexible with hours. I have a large apartment with 5 animal living roommates. I live near plenty of walking trails and sidewalks right outside my house. I also have my own car where I can drive to clients homes or even take the pets to different trails to keep walks exciting!

I own a mini Australian Shepherd named Oakley who is 6 years old. He joins me on most of my adventures that include running, biking hiking, paddleboarding, snowboarding, and overall just be outside. Spending time in the area I know great spots for pet adventures. I have been dog walking for 8+ years with dogs of all ages & sizes. I am capable of continuing training plans, giving medications, and any other pet needs. Please don't hesitate if you have any questions. I have a very flexible schedule over this summer and can provide daily pet care walks and services. I am also home most of the day. I currently live in a town house that has multiple floors & an open floor plan. I do not currently have a fenced in back yard however I live in a quiet neighborhood that’s perfect for walks and have nearby access to multiple trail networks.

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”
