About: Grew up around dogs, my family has always had one in our lives. Feel I have a special bond with dogs, big and small, and rarely do I experience coming across a dog that does not warm up to me. Experienced in all forms of taking care of dogs, from walking and feeding, to playing and living with, sitting for family and friends both in their home and ours. I work full time from home but have a lot of flexibility during the day. Early mornings and evenings can be accommodated with simple planning. My family currently has an older female beagle who is sweet as can be, and very lazy. She is not aggressive towards other dogs and is fine being around dogs. We have three little children who are completely accustomed to having dogs present, and love to help with feeding and play time. We live in a small house but could accommodate 1 dog for short stays if need be, preferably small-medium sized (less than 40lbs). We do not have a fenced-in yard but live near a dog park and excellent areas for walking.

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: I’m an animal lover to the core and not a single dog frightens me. I dog sit Mini Yorkies up to German Shepards for my friends and family and have always had dogs in my life. In the past, I’ve assisted caring for my mother’s chihuahua who pinched a nerve in his spine and had been paralyzed from his waist down so I’m familiar with mildly handicapped dogs. I go on hikes/walks through town forests every weekend with friends, so what’s another dog or two in the mix! Generally available weekday evenings and weekends. Whatever activities your dog enjoys or you prefer your dog to partake in, I will gladly oblige as it would be my responsibility to keep them as happy and comfortable in your absence. I have my own one year old GSD/Border Collie mix who is extremely friendly and loves to play and socialize. I currently work remotely which allows for flexibility to take care of my own pets, as well as my neighbors when they are working. While I have more flexibility in the evenings during the week, I can always make time during a weekday if the need is there. I live in an area that is abundant with fellow dogs and dog friends, allowing for socializing and extra entertainment and enrichment if the prospective dog works well with others. I’m also a short distance from a massive dog park where I take my own boy to get out some off leash zoomies. I have three cats in house who are familiar with dogs but will make themselves scarce if they’re uncomfortable and have their own room to hide where no dogs can go.

“Our 6 year old GSD, Flynn, has been with Chad since he was 4 months old. Up until a few months ago in a doggie day care, and now spending 2 days a week with him in a more 1:1 setting. Chad's calm, nurturing demeanor and unwavering patience and consistency with our often anxious and always energetic guy makes such a huge different for our family. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. Our pets are friendly towards other dogs, cats, and people who come to visit/ stay with us. I am an educator at the local elementary school, and offer pet care services to neighbors and visitors to the area. My availability is generally flexible on the weekends, and can extend into the week on a case-by-case basis. I generally offer 3-4 walks per day, including one longer adventure to mountain trails, or another nearby, dog friendly destination. I'm happy to bring your pup to any of their favorite spots (within reason). Of course, it goes without saying that pets are allowed on the furniture and more than welcome to snuggle in bed at night, also open to crating or any special care required.

About: I grew up with many animals, both my own pets, and animals on my grandfather's dairy farm (he was also a vet). I live in the country in Richmond, and have cats, young kids and animals Rover won't let me name in the description...but they provide eggs. We have dogs in our "extended family" and we are well accustomed to dogs but we do not have one ourselves at this time. If your dog is 100% safe with those people and pets and well-behaved, let's talk! Independently insured. We enjoy hosting dogs, and are home most days of the week for most of the day. We enjoy walking with dogs and playing fetch (if dogs like to do that) on our hill in our yard. We would need to do a meet & greet to make sure it is a good match. Our yard is not fenced, and we are on a dirt road in the country with woods on the property and surrounding it, so dogs should not be prone to bolting etc. They must be 100% safe with young kids, cats and free range egg producers. No aggressive or reactive dogs please.
About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take puppers for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! About: As a former medical coordinator in mental health, busy coffee shop manager, mother to two adult boys and companion of a 14 year old dog, I can promise you your pet and home will be in loving hands. I work 40 hours a week at a coffee shop in Waterbury, VT. If the stay is local, I can adjust my schedule as needed though there may be a day I need to be gone about 8 hours or so. If you have a feline companion, we know it is all about their schedule and will be mindful of keeping the quirks and timing on track. I have three cats in house who are familiar with dogs but will make themselves scarce if they’re uncomfortable and have their own room to hide where no dogs can go.
About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take puppers for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. My schedule changes from week to week but feel free to contact me to double check my availability no matter the season! I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. Lots of mental stimulation and training exercises throughout the day to keep them out of trouble helps too! I have a 9 year old cat in the house that tends to keep to herself in the bedroom when there's a dog around. Our home is on 5 acres of land with a big yard to do lots of sniffing around. I'm also located right on the rail trail for longer walks and adventures!
About: I love dogs! I grew up with a little black poodle named Cherry who is 18 years old now and is featured here! I have been a dog walker for my neighbors whenever they needed in the past. Very comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I am a full time physical therapist/strength train consistently, so very comfortable handling bigger girls and boys. Please contact me if your dog needs a walk or you need to leave your furry friend with me while you go on vacation! I often start late or end early so can be quite flexible depending on your needs. About: I had a dog (pitbull mix) that passed at 14 years old last year and I often took care of my aunt’s dog (redhound mix) that lived until she was 16, so I can handle senior care for dogs. I have lived with cats in the past and have experience cat sitting as well. I have a flexible schedule in the summertime and have a job outdoors that I can take dogs to, though they would just have to get along with other dogs if I bring them to work. My home is just as welcome to pets as it is to humans. I have a large shared (unfenced) yard space and love taking dogs on (leashed!) walks around my neighborhood and surrounding mountains/natural areas. I have 3 years experience cat sitting as well.
About: I have never met an animal I did not love. My mom likes to say that I’ve always loved animals. She remembers me trying to jump out of her arms, before I could even walk, in order to pet a nearby dog. I am a 32 years old and originally from Minnesota. I have also cared for a neighbors goats and am comfortable around farm animals. I now have a super sweet 8 year old rescue dog named Primrose. I would call you immediately if I noticed something was wrong or off with your pet and I am totally willing to call your veterinarian or take them to an emergency veterinarian, if ever necessary. I can administer medications and make special diets, if requested.

About: Grew up around dogs, my family has always had one in our lives. Feel I have a special bond with dogs, big and small, and rarely do I experience coming across a dog that does not warm up to me. Experienced in all forms of taking care of dogs, from walking and feeding, to playing and living with, sitting for family and friends both in their home and ours. I work full time from home but have a lot of flexibility during the day. Early mornings and evenings can be accommodated with simple planning. My family currently has an older female beagle who is sweet as can be, and very lazy. She is not aggressive towards other dogs and is fine being around dogs. We have three little children who are completely accustomed to having dogs present, and love to help with feeding and play time. We live in a small house but could accommodate 1 dog for short stays if need be, preferably small-medium sized (less than 40lbs). We do not have a fenced-in yard but live near a dog park and excellent areas for walking.

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: I’m an animal lover to the core and not a single dog frightens me. I dog sit Mini Yorkies up to German Shepards for my friends and family and have always had dogs in my life. In the past, I’ve assisted caring for my mother’s chihuahua who pinched a nerve in his spine and had been paralyzed from his waist down so I’m familiar with mildly handicapped dogs. I go on hikes/walks through town forests every weekend with friends, so what’s another dog or two in the mix! Generally available weekday evenings and weekends. Whatever activities your dog enjoys or you prefer your dog to partake in, I will gladly oblige as it would be my responsibility to keep them as happy and comfortable in your absence. I have my own one year old GSD/Border Collie mix who is extremely friendly and loves to play and socialize. I currently work remotely which allows for flexibility to take care of my own pets, as well as my neighbors when they are working. While I have more flexibility in the evenings during the week, I can always make time during a weekday if the need is there. I live in an area that is abundant with fellow dogs and dog friends, allowing for socializing and extra entertainment and enrichment if the prospective dog works well with others. I’m also a short distance from a massive dog park where I take my own boy to get out some off leash zoomies.
