About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.

Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. For us- that says it all!”

About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a toddler. I currently have an almost 1-year old big goofy catahoula leopard/pitbull mix. I routinely dog sit for extended family and I have fostered for a local dog rescue. One of my favorite activities is taking a dog for a nice neighborhood walk or an active hike. If your dog comes here for a stay, they are treated as a member of the family. They’re welcome to lounge on the couch and we even love to bring them on outings with us if your dog would enjoy it. I’m a full time mom so I have a fairly flexible schedule for adding in dog walks. If your dog is ok with kiddos joining, I can be even more accommodating. About: I have always been around dogs and other pets since I was a baby, and have always loved and cherished them. As an adult we have raised and taken care of three cats and dogs. While in the military for 10 years, I was responsible for taking care of many other pets, especially dogs, for other service members while they traveled or deployed. My dog Nigel and I tend to make fast friends with any other dogs we meet! I recently got out of the military, and moved back home to Vermont. I am currently not working, and will be working on online college courses from home for the foreseeable future. Therefore I have a very flexible schedule, and can make all the time necessary to keep any pets entertained and well taken care of! I have a very sweet four year old male English Cream Golden Retriever, named Nigel, who loves friends more than anything (other than treats) and will be my permanent doggie daycare assistant. We have a large 2.5 acre property that is partially fenced, with large yard space to run in, and wooded nature trails in the back for walks and lots of sniffs. We are also about 5 minutes away from a beautiful dog park and miles of nature trails that we try to go to every day.
About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! Must be kid and puppy friendly if sitting happens in my home. I am also great with cats for in-your-home pet-sitting or drop in visits! The Long Version: I've had dogs in my home since I was a kid. I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once...and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children and puppies. I have two dog-loving kids under age 5, and we have a super sweet lab puppy, so she is currently small, but growing fast! I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days if you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids and my own puppy). I've always loved my pets as members of the family and I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We allow our puppy on furniture, but I will of course follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.

I have been a long time user of Rover for my own dog Ham for many years! I have had such a great experience using Rover when I am traveling out of state that I want to give you and your dog that same experience whenever you need to travel and leave your dog behind. I have one dog Ham who is 9 years old and male he is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and takes regular monthly heart worm and flea medicine. I will only accept booking that I have "Meet and Greet" to see how they get along with Ham and make sure they are comfortable and confident together. I can accept 2 dogs per night (will accommodate for repeat client) Once or twice a day walks for up to an hour (weather permitting), your dog will be comfortable, happy, and well cared for while your gone . Your dog must be dog friendly, vaccinated and flea treated. We have plenty of rooms in our house and a fenced in backyard for them to explore around. They are welcome to sleep anywhere at the house that makes them the most comfortable. I am happy to travel to meet and greet and can also do pickup at your place for a fee. About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I learned a lot of what I know from firsthand experience but also from reading many books of dog behavior and from being taught training techniques from a close family friend and dog trainer. Nothing makes me happier than a dog and nothing makes my dog happier than being with other dogs! I hope to ease the stress that can come from managing life and wanting the best for your pup by providing a safe space for them to have fun! I am currently a student at University and my schedule takes me away from the home for 6 hours a day 5 days a week. I am always providing enrichment activities for my dog while I am away from the house and we go on a long walk when I return. I have a big yard that is partially wooded for the dogs to play around in, whether your dog is good off leash or not. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. My dog is very easy going so we are willing to be adaptable on a pet to pet basis.

About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.

We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up.
