Shelly is knowledgeable and comfortable with our large dogs and did a fantastic job managing our pack (including their weird eating habits and their high energy). She is safety-conscious and took steps to ensure that our dogs were comfortable and contained in their new environment. The best feedback is from our puppies, who came home tired from 5 days of playing in Shelly's field. They even whined when we left - clearly they loved their time on the farm! “This was our first time leaving our little Golden doodle with Samantha. I will say, I was a bit intimidated by leaving him with a pit bull there, but upon meeting the pit bull he was the sweetest big dog ever. My worries immediately vanished! There were a couple other dogs there, so that was nice. There was one dog a bit too interested in my little guy, so I didn’t want to leave until he calmed down. Samantha never made me feel rushed to leave or weird. She was super patient and asking me if I wanted the dogs split up, or inside or outside. I really thought that said a lot about the person I was leaving our baby with and I really liked that. I say all that to say, you can’t always control how dogs will interact with each other, but you can control how you react to them and Samantha was very calm, kind and friendly. She never looked overwhelmed or nervous. She was a bit embarrassed I think because of the initial behavior of this other dog she was caring for, but I understood that wasn’t a reflection of her care. We left out little guy there 3 days and she communicated through the day with updates, sent photos and even went the extra step of boiling and egg to mix it with my dogs food since we do that for him at home too. I’m thankful we found someone to watch our guy for when we need it! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!”

About: I grew up with cats as a child and have rescued 3 within the last 5 years. One has unfortunately passed due to a heart condition. My other two came with some challenges that I worked with them on and they are now thriving. My one cat, we adopted as a kitten and was looked over by many people because she can be feisty. She’s since become the sweetest girl. My other cat i rescued as an adult at roughly 3 years old and he was extremely scared of people and noises. Since being in our home, he is cuddly, social, and so sweet.

About: I took a break from pet sitting for awhile due to moving, but I am back and available on weekends! I have loved and cared for dogs since I was a kid. Back in my home state I ran a doggy-day care and began grooming and shadowing at dog shows. About: I’ve taken care of my dog and my aunt’s dog since I was nine. I’m twenty now and both of my fur babies are still kicking, barking, and happy. I’ve always loved animals, even helping to rescue some when I was little such as these two baby ducks and other little birdies and frogs too. In school, my teacher had a pet chameleon and turtle and I always was excited to help feed them. I actually started majoring in Biology at first in college to be a veterinarian or zoologist. I have a different path now to help children but I still have a passion for pets and other beautiful creatures of this Earth. I am a college student as mentioned before so my current schedule is MWF and Tues and Thurs to be free after 11:15 am. However, I do live on campus in Norfolk at ODU so I can take business there as well but mainly for dog walking and pet sitting at your residence. I do rely on my mother, brother or friends for transportation but they are willing to help snd be available as needed. Please give me a chance and you won’t regret it. :) I make sure the pets first get to know me, smell me, and recognize me to be comfortable with me. Then, I interact with them more by playing with them and giving them rubs and cuddles so they can feel more connected and comfortable. Then, definitely make sure they eat and drink the right food for their health and nourishment. Then, walk them so they can do their business and get exercise and always make sure they have a leash on. Next, make sure they are groomed and cleaned well and freshen up from the outdoors. We also have a friendly dog park right out back of the house as well in which we take the dogs to frequently and know most of the dogs that go to the park as well. About: I’ve worked in the a vet hospital for 3 years , then moved to working in boarding and taking care of all sizes of dogs! I’m animal cpr certified. I don’t go to work until around 9 so I will come take care of your fur babies early in the morning then come back around 1pm to let them out for a mid day potty break. Then when I get off work I will come back over and take care of your fur baby and tuck them in for the night after they play and get their energy out. I have a 1 year old black and she used a leash and harness when we are outside unless we are playing with her toys. I’m very attentive to the surroundings before I let my fur baby off the leash.

About: I’ve owed 4 Labrador retrievers, and still currently have two, one is my duck dog and one’s my old retired boy. I love animals. We enjoy daily walks, and mental stimulation! They get plenty of outdoor time as well as one on one time! About: I took a break from pet sitting for awhile due to moving, but I am back and available on weekends! I have loved and cared for dogs since I was a kid. Back in my home state I ran a doggy-day care and began grooming and shadowing at dog shows. I have mainly had Australian Shepherds, but have also had German Shepherds, Pitbulls, Poodles, Beagles, and Labs. I love dogs, honestly, more than people most days. In the past I have trained dogs and competed in dog agility trials. About: I enjoy fostering dogs to help get more information about their personalities and in turn help them get adopted. I have also been a dog sitter for family and friends for years. I enjoy practicing my dog training hobby. I believe the more training a dog has the happier they will be. They will know their boundaries and what makes their human happy thus creating a positive environment. I currently work full-time from home therefore daycare or walks are the most ideal services for me. If we have a good established relationship (human to human and dog to human) I am open to overnight says. I have a larger fenced yard however the fence is vertically challenged. About: I have many years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I have a senior dog that I adopted in 2015 and in 2020 I helped raise a puppy from 8 weeks old. “This was our first time leaving our little Golden doodle with Samantha. I will say, I was a bit intimidated by leaving him with a pit bull there, but upon meeting the pit bull he was the sweetest big dog ever. My worries immediately vanished! There were a couple other dogs there, so that was nice. There was one dog a bit too interested in my little guy, so I didn’t want to leave until he calmed down. Samantha never made me feel rushed to leave or weird. She was super patient and asking me if I wanted the dogs split up, or inside or outside. I really thought that said a lot about the person I was leaving our baby with and I really liked that. I say all that to say, you can’t always control how dogs will interact with each other, but you can control how you react to them and Samantha was very calm, kind and friendly. She never looked overwhelmed or nervous. She was a bit embarrassed I think because of the initial behavior of this other dog she was caring for, but I understood that wasn’t a reflection of her care. We left out little guy there 3 days and she communicated through the day with updates, sent photos and even went the extra step of boiling and egg to mix it with my dogs food since we do that for him at home too. I’m thankful we found someone to watch our guy for when we need it! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!”

“Kim is FANTASTIC! My boys had an absolutely amazing time. We rarely leave them. Before we would just have someone come to let them in and out, plus make sure they had food and water. The last time our wolfhound got too depressed being without people. This time we knew we wanted them to be with someone. Kim was amazing! She gave us TONS of updates and was so patient and understanding with our youngest pup “adjusting “ to a new environment. They boys had a great time! We are excited to have found a safe, loving environment to leave our fur babies with while we are gone!”
