We couldn’t have been happier. Denver was right at home, getting walks that he loves as well as plenty of chill time and attention from Jesse and Emily as well as their two girls. Jesse and Emily were great about sending us photo updates that let us know that Denver was comfy and happy. Denver is a finicky eater especially when not at home and they were great about paying attention and giving some treats here and there to get his appetite going. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I work remote so I can always be available for your little buddy! I’m a medical student, so I will have to be gone a few hours in the morning, but after that I can cater to any of your animals needs. I get up around 7 AM and head to get around 11:30. I always take frequent breaks throughout the day to stretch my legs and get some sun. Whatever you need, I’ll make sure your pet is well loved and appreciated! My house is always very clean and very spacious. I also live right next to a park and go for walks by myself regularly. Whenever I watch my friends animals, I bring my own food and activities and leave the place better than I found it.

About: Please note we are in Troy near Zions Crossroads (about 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and 15 minutes from Lake Monticello). Hi, my name is Katina. I have been caring for dogs as long as I can remember. My earliest memories include setting up agility courses for my german shepherd in my backyard. To say I have a passion for dogs is an understatement. I recently quit my job to pursue dog boarding full time and I could not be more excited to spend all day with your pup(s)! We spend lots of time on play, exercise and enrichment. Our yard is set up similar to a dog park meaning we have two separate fenced areas for dogs comfort. We have one small fenced area (4ft fence) to accommodate small, elderly, timid and handicapped pups as well as a large dog park sized fenced area to accommodate more playful mid sized pups (6ft fence). We also have a whole home generator for added peace of mind. When the weather is nice we like to spend a lot of time outdoors Health and safety is our top priority. We have a zero tolerance policy for aggression. If your dog shows signs of aggression during their stay they will be quarantined for the remainder of the stay and not accepted back. In order to board with us your dog must be friendly with EVERYONE this includes children (even though none are present in the home, they do come and visit), the elderly, cats and other dogs. Please provide proof of rabies vaccination (I need a copy of the in date certificate that is signed by your veterinarian). Please ensure your dog(s) are free from fleas ticks and intestinal parasites. Our storage space is limited so please only bring food (put food in ziplock bag and write pets name on the bag) , medications/supplements, and a leash. We will provide toys, treats, bowls (we have a variety of sizes both regular and slow feeder), crates if your dog needs one and plush bedding. Please ALWAYS pack extra food. We will not be able to fulfill requests to withhold water from your dog, so if this is something you require please choose another sitter. Please provide an emergency contact who is willing to pickup your dog(s) in case of emergency. Drop-offs/Pick-ups are between 8A-8P by appointment only. Please keep pickup/drop off timeframes to a 30 minute window. I’m a graduate student who dearly misses my family pups and would love a chance to share my love with your fur babies 😊 I’m extremely comfortable handling reactive dogs (large or small) and can tailor walks to whatever your pup needs (structured with rewarded commands, loose sniff walks, easy jogs to release energy, etc). I know how to administer medication via mouth/eye/ear and am adept at reading body language to match your pet’s energy and comfort level. I have a relatively flexible schedule but am limited by certain weekly required lectures/events. I am typically free before 8am and after 12pm on weekdays (only after 5pm on Thursdays though) and all day weekends. Sometimes I’m free the entire day, it depends! If you have any questions or want to know if I’m available at a specific time, please just reach out to me and I’ll try my best to work with you. I know it can be scary to trust a technical stranger, but rest assured that I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own. About: I've had dogs my whole life and started dog-sitting for my neighbors at 9 years old. I love all animals, but dogs have a very special place in my heart. About: I have my own dog that I’ve been training since he was a puppy. I have experience potty training, giving oral medication and more. I grew up with dogs and have been pet sitting for friends and neighbors since I was in middle school. I have experience with large and small dogs as well as young and older dogs. I just graduated with a bachelors in biochemistry & Nutrition and Exercise at Virginia Tech. I’m now home living with my parents and have a very flexible schedule! I currently live in a house, there’s plenty of open grass, walking areas and even a fenced in back yard for any dog to run around in! I’m happy to assist you with your dog care needs in your own home as I know that’s where they’re often most comfortable!

I'm free for house sitting stays and drop in visits any day of the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and I confirm bookings a few days ahead so you know I'm locked in well before you leave. No shift to clock into, no class to rush home for, just consistent, dependable time for whatever your pet actually needs. 👉I offer house sitting and drop in visits, which means your pet never has to leave home, no new house, no new animals, nothing unfamiliar on top of you already being away. I stick to their existing feeding, walk, and routine schedule exactly as you've set it, and keep the house locked up and lived in while you're gone. I come to your pet's world instead of asking your pet to adjust to mine, giving them my full, undivided attention until you're back😊. Services Defined: House sitting is an overnight stay: I arrive at 6pm and leave at 7am. Need daytime care? Please book drop ins. If you need me at your home for a longer stretch during the day, message me first and I’ll quote it separately. Drop ins: Drop ins are 30 minute visits during the day, with 60 minutes available. We couldn’t have been happier. Denver was right at home, getting walks that he loves as well as plenty of chill time and attention from Jesse and Emily as well as their two girls. Jesse and Emily were great about sending us photo updates that let us know that Denver was comfy and happy. Denver is a finicky eater especially when not at home and they were great about paying attention and giving some treats here and there to get his appetite going. We would definitely leave Denver with them again!”

I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
