I needed a sitter for my dog super last minute and David came through for me - was super quick to respond and was an extremely good communicator from the very beginning to the end of Olive's 2 night stay. His dog and mine got along really well which is great because my Olive can always use more friend time! David was very accommodating, always making sure Olive always felt comfortable and he checked in with picture messages several times a day which gave me peace of mind. He lives close to a state park and has a great yard - so I can definitely vouch that any dog who stays with David is going to basically feel like they are on vacation and get a ton of stimulating exercise. About: I work from home, which gives me plenty of time to hang out with your fur baby. I can do obedience training if requested, and all the treats I have are homemade with good ingredients and love:) I have a golden retriever myself. I take her out for potty at 6 in the morning, followed by food time and a longer walk around the neighborhood. While I work at home, I take my dog out to play every 1-2 hours. Five in the afternoon is our dog’s second meal. Then depending on the weather, I take my dog out for a long walk in the evening. I treat my clients’ pets as mine! I never leave pets unsupervised in the back yard, and since I work from home, I always keep an eye on the dog during the day. Treats are homemade with good ingredients and love, but make sure you let me know any allergies your fur babies have.

They have designated rest areas (although I do allow animals on furniture), plenty of enrichment activities/toys, and lots of affection of course! I also have a large yard where my dogs love to run around and play with toys (when outside, they are always supervised) and a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walks! I am always keeping my eyes on them, making sure they are healthy, eating/drinking, and exercising correctly. In a clients home is a bit different as this is not my personal space. I tend to follow the routine/schedule exactly as written and complete the usual duties such as feeding, walking, playtime, waste/litter cleanup, etc. I keep the home clean, ensure safety over the property and animals, and provide regular updates and photos to owners during each visit. I always double check and make sure all pets are comfortable, safe, and have everything they need in their space before I leave.

About: Over the years I've had experience with all stages and ages of pets, especially dogs, but also including horses, chickens, fish, guinea pigs, bunnies, cats etc. I've raised and cared for my own pets from puppies to elder dogs, special needs to the most energetic (or anxious). I've taken in some willful and anxious fur babies that have thrived and became amazing loyal, obedient and loving companions. I have also been blessed with 4 amazing grown kiddos that have pets of their own and I get to care for them often and its the best!! Most of my/my families pets have been rescues but we've also had/have several pure bred Animals (Long-haired German Shepherd, Newfoundland, Maltese, Blue Pittie). I like to make sure the fur babies get lots of love and exercise, but its also okay if your pet is a bit more stand-offish. I truly appreciate when pet parents leave information about routine, pets personality and preferences and will follow instructions meticulously. Special needs, medications, puppy care, etc are also welcome (of course!!). Feel free to ask any questions...look forward to chatting and meeting you/your fur babies. I am an empty-nested Mom and Mimi with my kids' families being spread around CO, NC, TN, GA, STX so I travel to see kids/grandkids/family...a lot...and I love it. This gives me the flexibility to do house sitting/pet care around those visits (in some cases, I've done sits near my kids as well and check both boxes, pet care and visits with the fam). I'm looking to pet/house sit almost full-time around family visits. I'm also VERY open to traveling to pet sits outside my home base area, overseas as well. I lost my little Maltese "Smiles" a few years ago and have poured my snuggles into my kid's 6 dogs. With my travel schedule its hasn't felt like the right time to add a new pet to my personal life so getting to love on my families' pets and those that I sit for really helps fill that void. About: This is my side hustle on my days off away from the hospital to support my lifestyle and the ever-rising cost of living. I currently don't have any pets. My previous three dogs Amber (Rhodesian Ridgeback), Brutus (Akita), and Tippy (Chihuahua) have all crossed the rainbow bridge. I am a nurse. I work 2-3 shifts a week, and have 3 or 4 days off every week. My schedule is flexible and my availability changes from week to week. I tend to work a lot of weekends at the hospital. I love hiking and being outside. My favorite places are the Eno River State Park, Duke Forest, and the Carolina North Forest. I have also started exploring some of the paved walking trails and greenways in the area.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child I grew up with them. My mom and dad always made sure we had animals so we didn't feel alone. I love animals and used to watch friends and family and neighbors dogs and cats and my husband has donated plasma just to save a dog's life before. We helped give birth to 5 puppies while taking care of our son with a friend We are wanting to do this as our actual full time job since we just had our first baby and we love helping other animals. About: I work from home, which gives me plenty of time to hang out with your fur baby. I can do obedience training if requested, and all the treats I have are homemade with good ingredients and love:) I have a golden retriever myself. I take her out for potty at 6 in the morning, followed by food time and a longer walk around the neighborhood. While I work at home, I take my dog out to play every 1-2 hours. Five in the afternoon is our dog’s second meal. Then depending on the weather, I take my dog out for a long walk in the evening. I treat my clients’ pets as mine! I never leave pets unsupervised in the back yard, and since I work from home, I always keep an eye on the dog during the day. Treats are homemade with good ingredients and love, but make sure you let me know any allergies your fur babies have.
