“I did a lot of homework and reviewing of boarders for my 1.5-year-old, 70 lb. Aussie/golden before landing on Robin because of her amazing reviews and years of experience. We had just had a terrible board and train situation leaving him with some pressure sores and anxiety. I am so glad I chose Robin though. She allowed me to come out a month before booking to see her facilities, get to know me and my pup, and to explain how his days would be going. Ollie looked so incredibly comfortable around her then I started calling our vacation his summer camp. She sent pictures almost daily of Ollie running around and playing with other pups. He came back to me 5 lb. lighter than before because of it (he needed it!) and I can also tell that she kept up with his training that we have been working on which I greatly appreciated. He actually looked disappointed to go home! We will of course be back and will tell everyone we know who needs a boarder! Thank you, Robin!”

About: Hey y’all! I have taken care of pets, specifically dogs, for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Louisiana with 2 dachshunds in my family home. One of them had diabetes, so I am experienced with giving shots and oral medication. In addition to taking care of the weenie dogs, I had a pet hedgehog and chameleon in high school. I truly love animals of all kinds. I grew up walking and dog sitting for family friends and neighbors. In high school, I was an involved volunteer at my local humane society. When I was in college, I ended up rescuing a dog from that shelter. My parents took him in since I lived in a college dormitory. After I graduated college, I couldn’t wait to get my own dog! Here in Charlottesville, I have 1 dog now, Pretzel, who is a small lab mix. He is also a rescue, and is my world! I can’t wait to meet, walk, and watch your pets! I have a non-traditional work schedule that is unpredictable but also flexible. I go into work most week days, or sometimes work from home. My hours can vary, but I always make time to walk my dog Pretzel multiple times a day with trips to the dog park when I can. I am available on the weekends. In my home, Pretzel roams free. I do not kennel him, as he is potty trained. I want Pretzel to be able to roam around as he pleases. Pretzel sleeps with me every night.

About: Animals have been a passion in my life as far back as I can remember. I am a pitbull mama who fell in love with the breed in my early 20s. I learned about their breed by raising a pitbull mama and daddy and their three babies. That pack shaped me into who I am today. I have worked at a pet boarding facility many years ago, and have worked at both the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA and the Fluvanna SPCA. My husband and I currently own 8 pit bulls and 6 cats. Let’s not forget the ducks and chickens! I can promise you that I will take the best care of your best friend, and treat them like my own providing them with lots of love and enrichment. I am available certain Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays. We can look at schedules on a case by case basis and customize based on individual needs. All of our dogs have GPS tracking collars on as well as invisible fence security. Our cats have Apple tags on them for safety. All of our cats and dogs are indoor animals. Safety is the most important thing to me and I assure you I will make sure I am the safest I can be with your pet.

About: I've had pets all my life. From big dogs, to tiny dogs, to stray cats having kittens under my shed. I even had a hedgehog when I was in college (the first time). I am currently enrolled at BRCC to become a Veterinarian Technician. I have worked in wildlife rehabilitation as well. In doing this I have been lucky enough to gain experience with various species of animals, wound care, rescue and release. My husband and I just welcomed our second baby in Spring 2025 and we have a toddler so this has limited my pet sitting availability. I’m currently only doing drop in visits close to home. Please reach out with any questions. I have basically no traveling plans for the summer. I do work in town as a bartender, but it’s limited to one or two nights a week. When I’m not there I’m with my sons, but I am pretty flexible! Just shoot me a text and we can always work something out. My yard is easily escapable so I will always have your doggies on a leash to keep them safe. My two tiny hounds will gladly help me keep them company and entertained when staying at my place!

I have prior experience in the veterinary field, so I believe that I have a better understanding and knowledge of the health and well being of an animal. I have had experience with multiple doctors in the preparation of animals before surgery that include: shaving the designated area of surgery, cleaning the surgical area, hooking vitals and oxygen tubes for the animal, carrying the animal to and from the surgical table to rehabilitation zones, etc. I also Interacted with the patients owner to receive information regarding their animal and was in charge of filling prescriptions and properly checking them out. I am currently working part time in the mornings so I have all day and all night to take care of your precious fur baby! I live on a private property with roughly 17 acres. The backside is fenced in however the front side is not but it is an open yard for plenty of fetch and playtime with your for babies. About: When my rather difficult but beloved rescue passed away in November 2024, I realized for the first time how integral dogs are to living a happy and healthy life. In April 2025, I decided it was time to add a new addition to my family, and I now have a 7 month old female German Shepherd, Pilar (who I'm pretty sure is a Golden Retriever trapped in a Shepherd's body). Pilar is the most friendly dog you'll ever meet, and she LOVES to play with other dogs. I am constantly searching for quality day care for her, and I find it's difficult to find someone who is truly reliable and provides safe, clean, and comfortable care. So I've decided to take matters into my own hands and invite pups into my home. When your dog stays with me, she's going to enjoy all of the comforts she's accustomed to at home. Whether that be napping on the couch, playing in the fenced-in backyard, or lounging at my feet while I work from home. I even have a couple of crates if you'd prefer your pup enjoy crated nap time. I've had pets my entire life and have plenty of experience with animals of all types and all personalities, including damaged rescues. I've been through extensive training with Pilar and am happy to apply the skills I've learned when working with your dog, as well. My main goal with providing this service is to create an environment where pups who really enjoying playing with each other can do so safely and comfortably while enjoying the kind of care they're accustomed to at home. Please note that I have a 10 year old cat, and while she knows how to hold her ground with dogs, I cannot accept any pups who don't tolerate cats or who would put her safety at risk. I work from home full-time so pet care is woven into the fabric of my daily routine. I can support hourly potty breaks and am able to take frequent breaks for walks, playtime, mealtime, potty time, snuggles, etc. I have a fenced in yard where dogs will be let out for supervised play and potty breaks. Depending on the time of year and your preference, I have a small doggy pool so that dogs can play in the water to release energy. Indoors, dogs are welcome on the couch and on the dog beds. During nap time, I can crate your pup if you prefer, or she can be loose. The only place that's off limits are my two guest bedrooms.

I have three now, a German Shepherd, a German Shepherd mix, and Doberman, all will be turning two next year. I have been enjoying fostering puppies through CASPCA these past several months, as well I volunteered for them as a teenager. Over the years I have very successfully cared for friends and family's pets while they were away on business or vacation. I promise to be the absolute best caregiver I can be for your fur-babies!
About: I have a large family dog that I have been responsible for since I was about 10 years old. She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I am no stranger to having to clean up any accidents in the house so that is a non-issue for me. I am also open to taking care of other animals like rodents or turtles or other cage creatures. I am a true and passionate animal lover! My schedule is very flexible at the moment. I am happy to give as much or little time needed for the pets. I can figure out any scheduling and details necessary with clients. I am never loud coming into a home. I always let the pets come to me unless they are hiding on purpose. I take care instructions very seriously and will follow everything exactly and will reach out if I have questions about the best way I can care for your fur friend.
About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. I can do my best to fit my schedule into your fur baby schedule. I have two fence in yard to provide safety for those who doesn't get along with others. I also have two dogs of my own which probably won't be alot of fun. My beagle is usually sleeping in the house all day as for the husky she usually laying in the back yard squirrel hurting. I can create your fur baby at night or provide a dog bed. I do allowed fur babies to sleep in the bed only with fur parents permission. My fur babies are not snugglers so they choose to sleep on their dog beds.
About: I’ve loved animals since before I could walk and I’ve spent a lifetime caring for them. Having worked for the CASPCA I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about what it means for our pets to truly thrive and what they need to lead happy healthy lives. Our family treats your pet like they’re our own and make him/her feel right at home. They will spend their days with tons of enrichment activities; daily walks, tons of play time and endless snuggles if they’ll let me and so much more. About: I've had pets all my life. From big dogs, to tiny dogs, to stray cats having kittens under my shed. I even had a hedgehog when I was in college (the first time). I am currently enrolled at BRCC to become a Veterinarian Technician. I have worked in wildlife rehabilitation as well. In doing this I have been lucky enough to gain experience with various species of animals, wound care, rescue and release. My husband and I just welcomed our second baby in Spring 2025 and we have a toddler so this has limited my pet sitting availability. I’m currently only doing drop in visits close to home. Please reach out with any questions. I have basically no traveling plans for the summer. I do work in town as a bartender, but it’s limited to one or two nights a week. When I’m not there I’m with my sons, but I am pretty flexible! Just shoot me a text and we can always work something out. My yard is easily escapable so I will always have your doggies on a leash to keep them safe. My two tiny hounds will gladly help me keep them company and entertained when staying at my place!

“I did a lot of homework and reviewing of boarders for my 1.5-year-old, 70 lb. Aussie/golden before landing on Robin because of her amazing reviews and years of experience. We had just had a terrible board and train situation leaving him with some pressure sores and anxiety. I am so glad I chose Robin though. She allowed me to come out a month before booking to see her facilities, get to know me and my pup, and to explain how his days would be going. Ollie looked so incredibly comfortable around her then I started calling our vacation his summer camp. She sent pictures almost daily of Ollie running around and playing with other pups. He came back to me 5 lb. lighter than before because of it (he needed it!) and I can also tell that she kept up with his training that we have been working on which I greatly appreciated. He actually looked disappointed to go home! We will of course be back and will tell everyone we know who needs a boarder! Thank you, Robin!”
