“Raye is amazing! I left my two dogs in her care while I was on vacation for an entire week. This was my first time having her as a dog sitter and my first time having the dogs in somebody else’s home while I was away for a while. She provided them with such great care while I was gone and they were so comfortable, which says a lot since one of my dogs is more anxious and timid. But she took great care of them and made them feel right at home: she took them on lots of walks, they got to enjoy her yard, and they got to spend so much quality time with her and her dog Ollie. She had great communication - she sent me lots of updates and pictures daily, so I knew the dogs were doing well while I was gone. It’s never easy leaving my dogs for a long period of time, but she made the experience so much better. I will definitely use her again in the future and would recommend her to anybody else.”

I highly recommend Amanda to anyone needing a dog sitter.”

“Ethel is a great sitter! She was easy and quick to communicate with. Her home is welcoming and well set up for dogs to have plenty of space to play! We look forward to having our dog stay with her again soon.”

About: Caring for animals has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have owned cats and dogs, walked dogs during college, volunteered at a shelter, and have experience across different life stages and breeds. I can read body language to know when a pet wants company and when they need space. When caring for pets I prioritize following the pet's specific routine and needs. This includes adhering to feeding schedules, ensuring fresh water is always available, and adjusting meals for any dietary restrictions. I provide regular exercise and playtime while keeping the environment safe and pet-proofed. I monitor for signs of illness, can administer medications if necessary, and maintain cleanliness, like cleaning litter boxes and brushing fur. I offer comfort and affection for each pet, creating a calm space for relaxation, especially for pets with separation anxiety, to ensure their well-being. I work from home so your pet will have companionship throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I can easily integrate feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddle sessions into my schedule. Whether it's letting pets out for bathroom breaks, refreshing water bowls, or simply being there to offer comfort and companionship, I can provide pets with consistent care and attention all day long. My flexible routine also means I can adapt to each pet's specific needs and make sure they feel safe, loved, and part of the household. When caring for pets, I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a comforting environment. I ensure all spaces are pet-proofed, keep routines consistent, and supervise pets closely to prevent accidents or stress. In my home, pets enjoy a clean, calm space. While in a client's home, I respect their space, follow all care instructions closely, and keep their home secure. I build trust through consistent communication, photo updates, and gentle, attentive care.
About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every dog. I treat each pup like they’re my own, taking the time to understand their personality, routine, and needs. I’m reliable, patient, and loving, creating a comfortable and present environment where dogs feel happy and cared for while their owners are away! I’m available throughout the entire month of July and will be home consistently, which means I can give your pet plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. I’m able to be present during my stays and keep up with your pet’s routine, whether that includes walks, playtime, meals, medication reminders, or just extra companionship! My priority is making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, habits, and needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free. In my home, I provide a calm and supervised environment where pets can relax and feel at ease. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and routines while making sure their pets receive the same attention, patience, and affection I would give my own.

My top-notch’ care includes regular updates including pictures to give you peace of mind and ensuring that your beloved family members are happy and well-cared for while you’re away. When I’m not busy caring for your pets, you can find me playing a game of keep away or snuggled up with my own Cocker Spaniel named Hagrid. We like to explore and travel when we aren’t hosting new friends. Mostly recently, we enjoyed visiting our furry friend Ajax with his family of cats and humans in Vermont. “Nicole does such a great job with my baby. On days when it’s too hot she still makes sure he goes out and gets playtime and love. I absolutely love that she takes multiple pics to show what they’ve been up to. Pork Chop enjoys her visits so much”

“Conrad stepped in at our late notice and took fantastic care of our two dogs! They were staying with a sitter who could not walk them, and Conrad came to the rescue with walking them for a full hour every day, reliably and on-time! He communicates really well, is really responsible, and clearly has experience with dogs. One of my dogs is also dog-reactive, and Conrad knew just how to manage any reactive signs on walks and keeps distance from other animals. He listens well to instructions and is just a great dude. I’m happily looking to making him our regular go-to pet sitter and walker whenever we need support!”

About: I’ve been dog-sitting for about 5 years now. I’ve mainly taken care of small to medium sized dogs but I’m open to looking after larger dogs as well. I am very reliable and have a lot of energy to keep your dog entertained throughout the day. I love going for walks and and going to dog parks if allowed by the owner. I live in an apartment and it’s dog-friend and the apartment has a dog area where they can relieve themselves. I live in a studio apartment but there’s plenty of open space where your pup can lounge around. I’m very attentive of your dogs needs, so I stay on top of taking them out for walks and making sure their water bowl is kept full and following their feeding schedule. Also open to grooming and showering your dog, especially if they are staying overnight with me. If your pup is energetic and loves to play we will be a great match!!

About: I’ve always been an animal person and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles, including my own ball python. I grew up with an Australian Shepherd who can be very anxious, so I’m used to being patient with nervous pets and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’ve pet sat for animals of all different temperaments, including a cat with a more aggressive personality, so I understand the importance of respecting each animal’s boundaries and adapting to their individual needs. I love spending time outdoors and taking walks, and I know the Richmond area well. With two years of professional housekeeping experience, I’m comfortable caring for both pets and homes with the same level of respect and attention to detail I’d want for my own. My goal is to provide dependable care for both your pet and your home, while making sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away! I work about 20 hours a week as an esthetician and make my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Because I set my own hours, I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so I would love to fit pet care into my routine. I believe every pet is different, so I do my best to follow their normal routine and make them feel as comfortable as possible. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while keeping up with their feeding schedule and any specific instructions you provide. For cats staying in my home, I’ll provide a calm, safe environment where they can settle in at their own pace. Having lived with multiple cats of various personalities, I understand that some cats are social while others prefer their space, and I’m happy to accommodate both! I will stay in regular communication, providing updates and photos so you always know how they’re doing!
“This was our first time using a dog walker and Lila was beyond great! She was so open to a meet and greet to begin with and was able to spend some time with our dog while we weren’t home. About: As a child, I had a small dog named Nike! She was the cutest little Shih Tzu. Having her at a young age taught me responsibility first and foremost, but it also taught me how to appreciate and be patient with animals. I have fond memories of walking her around the neighborhood, being sure she had food and plenty of water in her bowls, and running around with her outside! She also got ENDLESS cuddle time. She was my first best friend, and although she’s not here with me in my adult years, I’ve come to love and value ALL animals, from playful cats, to everyday animals like squirrels and birds, lol. I’m a college student, graduating in the fall next year, and I have many breaks where I’m home. When home, I am fully available everyday, anytime to care for pets! I follow instructions EXACTLY as they’re given to me. Special instructions? No problem! Dinner time at 6? Done and done. I’ll be sure your fur baby has plenty of play time and cuddles as well! Rest assured knowing they’re in good hands!

About: My name is Nick and I am a teacher in Chesterfield county looking to use my love for animals as a way to make some extra money over the summer. I have had dogs and cats growing up my whole life and currently have a dog named Bagel and a cat named Friday. I also have lots of experience dog/cat sitting for friends and family over the years ever since I was in high-school. I am a teacher so I won’t be working during the summers so I will have unlimited time during the day/night to take care of your pets and their needs! Once the school year starts I can do weekends and afternoon/nights! I have a lot of energy myself so if your pets love to get exercise/play around I am very up for that. I also try to be very thorough with the pet care instructions and will ask questions/for clarification to ensure I am giving your pet the best care as possible.
About: I've never not had animals in my life! I spent my early years on a working farm and have always had a way with animals. Dogs will be in the house with my dogs, but they can be separated, if needed. I can crate, if the parents supply the crate. Dogs will be leash walked in the wide front yard but we can also go across the street to the dog park, too!

We would absolutely recommend Amanda’s services and hope to have her care for Clyde again in the future!”

About: For the last 5 years, I've been volunteering care for a herd of goats on Gillie's Creek Park. I am also the primary farm sitter for several friends' homesteads and a frequent pet sitter for friends and acquaintances. I have a broad range of experience: handling elderly animal care, newborn feeding/monitoring, pet anxiety, unique medication/feeding schedules, and general care for most farm/domesticated animals. I have a deep love for animals and their welfare with a desire to assist you and your pet in any way possible. I'm currently working part-time with a very flexible schedule. Typically not away from home for more than 3 hours at a time during marked available hours. My schedule can be adjustable if coordinating in advance. If caring in your home, I ensure that all items are back where they were originally left and that all feeding bowls and areas accessed are cleaned and organized. My home has a fenced-in yard, plenty of plants, natural lighting, and no other pets to contend for attention or food.
