“Eric is the best! I recently had a sitter cancel 6 hours before drop-off -- I thought my vacation was ruined! I immediately put out a Sunday morning last-minute Rover requests for a sitter, with very low expectations that anyone would even respond, much less accept. Within a few minutes, Eric responded and then accepted. He totally saved my vacation! After that, he was extremely communicative, but even better, he was perfect for my highly energetic doggo. He gave long dauly walks and play sessions. I knew that my dog would love having his Bucky as a 24/7 playmate, but I was very concerned that he has cats, since Sheba had never seen a cat before. Since she has a high prey drive, I thought there could be serious problems. Eric, however, seems to have a natural understanding of pets, and he was able to safely introduce Sheba to his cats, and apparently there were no issues. Also, Eric was highly flexible when my return flight was delayed by a day, and quickly agreed to extend the stay. I couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish.”

Upon meeting her, she is warm, kind & welcoming. My adopted chocolate lab has separation anxiety, which has been getting worse. He becomes immensely anxious when I leave him and he can’t be left alone at all, or else he barks non-stop. He doesn’t love doggy daycare because it’s too many dogs, not enough human interaction and no outside time. I’ve cared for dogs from 10 to 65 lbs with all kinds of personalities, energy levels and needs. Soy has been with me for most of my adult life, so I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. About: I’ve always been an animal lover. I have been pet and house sitting for years, mostly just pitching in for friends who know how eager I am. My childhood dog lived until 16 and was my best friend. I was his primary caretaker, especially in his elder years. I have lived with many animals throughout my life and find caretaking to be something that comes naturally for. As a dog person, I never expected to grow into such a cat lover, but I am a fan of all creatures big and small. My best friend has a dog that I take care of anytime he needs it. He refers to me as her "dog aunt". I have a reasonably sized car and am open to making trips to the park/river, as well as going on walks around your neighborhood or providing whatever other companionship is needed for your animal. I currently work part-time as a Float Therapy Specialist. This keeps me somewhat occupied on the weekends, but I’d still say I have pretty open availability. Weekdays I am available after 1pm when I finish my massage training. I believe pets are like people in that they all have their own personalities and needs. My goal is to create a relationship with your animal so I can best suit their needs.

About: Hi! I’m Eliza, I recently finished grad school at VCU and am doing some freelance creative work currently, so I have a very flexible and available schedule to help with your pets! I've loved animals my whole life and have grown up with dogs. When I was younger, I helped raise and train one of our dogs from puppyhood, where I learned how to care for a dog's daily needs. Four years ago, I adopted my first cat, and caring for her has given me plenty of experience with feline care as well. About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have always loved being around them. In February, I got my first puppy of my own, a large, high-energy breed, and have been raising and training him myself.
